Smaller, more intimate theatre. Convenient valet parking, or park in Water Tower garage, or take public transportation.Good view of the stage from any seat. Photos are from the center of the back row.We went to see Potted Potter (again). Hilarious show for any Harry Potter fan or novice. They love to interact with the audience!

Nice views of the stage from just about anywhere in the auditorium. Redesigned nicely. (No hint left of the former Drury Lane Theatre.) You are allowed to bring your beverages with you to your seat during the show. Staff was pleasant. Box office was polite and helpful. Validated parking was excellent. Overall, a great place to see and enjoy a show. And, if your lucky enough to see a good show, it will be a perfect evening.

Beautiful venue: simple and cozy. Excellent acoustics and great customer service. Would LOVE IT if they had opportunities for NEW PLay writers to have wk there. I think theyd get better exposure as a venue and would be an awesome opportunity for the writers

Pretty good theater place, smaller compared to other Broadway theaters in Chicago. Parking was pretty easy to find. They are plenty stand up comedy show here, and tickets are pretty decent.

Went to see the play heartbreak hotel. This is just starting it’s run and while the play overall was good. It could have been longer. Also would have loved to hear Elvis sing more. His voice was amazing. This play will only get better with time. Especially as they figure out the best way to make the music sound better They can all sing. But except for Elvis it was hard to hear the other singers because the background music was to loud. I would ask the director to rethink of the having background music during the non musical numbers as it was not required. This is more of a directing issue then the actors but once they hear the reviews I am sure they will fix it. It would be great to see this show once this shows has had about 40 or more performance by then the shows kinks will be worked out. One last thing. It would have been nice if they spend a little more money on the stage. It was bare and while I understand that there a lot of scenes it would have been great if there was a turning stage for different scenes or different levels. I guess once the shows goes to a bigger theatre they may implement that. I do think for a first run show which needs some help with timing and technical stuff was a bit to high for the tickets. It should have been closer to the 65 dollar max amount for the tickets.

The story of Elvis was artfully told and the contributing artists were giving equal reign as the play showcased the musical influences of the King himself. Takesha Meshé Kizarts presence and vocals were showstoppers as both a backup singer and Moms Mabley.

The Broadway Playhouse is always going to put on a great show. Ive been gere at least 5 times at this point, with the most recent time being to see Cruel Intentions. I really like that this venue has a smaller stage (maybe 500 to 600 seats) to increase the intimacy of the show. A lot of their tickets are very affordable too; they have some deals where you can score 2 seats to a show for no more than 60 dollars!

Intimate theater in downtown Chicago. I really liked the Broadway Playhouse. This theater wasn’t too hard to find and was easily walkable from our hotel in The Magnificent Mile area of downtown Chicago. The on-line ticketing was good. Reception was a good experience with two separate staff greeting us, checking our tickets, and giving us advice on preparations before the doors opened. There are quick-eat spots just outside of the theater and bar service in the lobby. The restrooms were clean and adequate. Once the doors were open, we quickly and easily found our seats with help from the staff; the staff were very good at moving folks through quickly and handling guest special needs (we witnessed helpful staff seating a special needs family and patient staff dealing with a difficult customer). The seating and stage setup felt very intimate, and, looking around, I’m guessing that all the seats in the house offer a good view. I wouldn’t recommend seating in first two rows if you like a broader view of the stage. I thought the sound system was pretty good; I’m hearing impaired, and I didn’t have to struggle or need augmentation. The exit from the theater was a little slow but not too bad. The ticket price was okay; overall, I’d rate the Broadway Playhouse as a good value for intimacy of the theater environment, great staff, good facilities, good location, and decent prices. Recommended for the theater lovers visiting Chicago.

This theater is across from Water Tower Place. It is on the small side, which I wasnt expecting. Seats are comfortable although as usual if you sit first row its difficult to see. There a few areas with obstructed view. We sat sixth row center and the seats were perfect. You can bring concessions into the theater.

This is one of my favorite theaters because it is small and there is literally not one bad seat in the house. You can get dropped off right in front of the theater or Parking at the water tower place with validation is reasonable. There is also a Garrets popcorn, Mburger, Lego store, and a bunch of other great places in the water tower mall where the parking is.
