This is an amazing facility. I spend most of my time in the ceramics department but the entire building is a treasure trove of creativity. As a student you work along side working artists. Its a truly inspirational place to learn.

I love this place! I’ve taken two art classes there: T-shirt Exchange (screen printing) and advanced screen printing. I learned a lot in both classes and walked away with some cool artwork. The staff there is excellent. They have a ton of experience and are always willing to help you out. I look forward to taking more classes there soon.

The gift shop has a large variety of ceramics and jewelry. All reasonably priced. I haven’t tried out any of their classes but they all seem quite interesting. The lady at the front desk was very helpful.

What a wonderful spot. My partner is taking a class here and the studio is a dynamic space, well run. In addition they have a great little gallery that is predominantly pottery but also has some artist-made jewelry, and cards. Its beautifully curiated yet approachable and unstuffy. There is also a charming, unpretentious cafe attached to it that is good for a light meal and a place to hang out. Its a little tough to see/find from the outside, but worth seeking out!

Lillstreet s staff and community have been a true gift for me in the last 10 years. The talent, passion, professionalism, responsible approach to the business model are hallmarks of the organization. And that doesnt address the enviable talent of the faculty.. the humanity, humor, compassion and generosity of the community makes it a place that you crave every day. Thank you for providing this opportunity to old and young bringing out the best in us.

Though their kids classes are pricey, the teachers are fantastic and the kids really seem to enjoy them. We get some modern art for our home, and the kids have a place to go and enjoy during the summer. Very good for unique gifts too.

I use to come here as a kid to take summer classes. The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is comforting. Get the grilled cheese from their cafe. The chocolate silk pie is also great.

I like Art and this place feels right when you walk in - full of creative people making stuff. I havent taken a class here but my kids have and they enjoy it. Some teachers are a miss though (those that have been there too long). I was hoping for more variety in the projects too - my child took a couple classes with different teachers but there was definitely some crossover on project themes….doesnt bother a young one, and its all good in the end I suppose.

SUMMARY: After my husband and my experience, I would never go back. The classes might be interesting and good, but if you have any major issues like we did, they will not address them.My husband and I took First Time Potter with Kyle in August 2017. Kyle was good and the class itself was fine. We bought extra clay because we wanted to make a lot of bowls and tea cups we could use at home. This class isnt cheap. With tuition, tools, clay, and extra clay, we spent just shy of $500.The problem were STILL having is that they lost ALL of my pottery and 80% of my husbands. The session was only 5 weeks long and I couldnt participate in the last class (glazing) as I didnt have anything to glaze! All our artwork was clearly marked with our initials. And least you think (like they told us) that it was just misplaced, over the next 3 weeks I took the time to go back 3 times, my husband an additional 3, to look through EVERY piece of artwork on the shelves. Nothing.9/24/17 we emailed Dave, head of the ceramics department, and explained everything.10/1/17 he replied saying they would give us a complimentary clay ticket if we took another ceramics class. (Clay is $20. Tuition is $175ish).10/9/17 We said no. The classes are 3 hours long & the next sessions were TEN weeks long. We didnt have time or desire to make that kind of commitment again.11/6/17 I followed up with Dave after not hearing back.11/7/17 he said they would give us a 50% tuition discount to take the class again. 11/28/17 I replied that us spending more time and money to rectify their original wrong-doing didnt seem reasonable to me and I wanted another solution. I NEVER heard anything back from him.1/14/18 We emailed the ceo (email found on website) and have not heard anything back from him either. We are so disappointed because we live close and wanted to be able to support a local business and use Lillstreet to do other fun art projects together. I would never go back after this situation. And while the classes might be good, if you every have any issue like we did, they will just ignore it.
