Our instructor Alan was fantastic! We could not have asked for a better coach to make some glass with! The facility is very clean and well kept. The instructions are clear and its fun and easy! Considering that we had no experience with glass blowing, I felt that we got to do a lot of hands on things. This is a great date night or just a very fun and memorable experience!

I had the opportunity to take a private lesson here and was BLOWN away (pun intended!) The gallery showcases incredible work mostly by resident artists. The facilities are incredible and the staff is amazing. My lesson was with Joe, and we made a paperweight and a bowl: I am looking forward to seeing them once they have cooled down. All in all, this is an experience unlike anything else Ive ever done. Worth doing on a weekend: make sure to book it well in advance.

Loved our class! And Eleanor was absolutely amazing. It was so fun to learn more about the process of glass blowing and she was so educated and answered all of our million questions. Can’t wait to come back in a few months to do another class!

Very friendly staff welcomed us and took time to walk through provided us with insights of few pieces they have at their minimalist but beautiful masterpieces. They have very spacious area and also provide classes for glass art making which is great. They also sell few pieces of the students work and their artists from around $3-5 to a thousands for the high end pieces. Street parking though just a heads up if you plan to visit. Entrance is free.

My husband and I had a private lesson with Eleanor. She was awesome, very personable and professional. She did an amazing job at teaching and helping us create some unique pieces. We had a great time laughing, learning, and being creative. I cant wait to see the finished projects in a few days!

Beautiful venue for our wedding! We had planned to have the cocktail hour on the rooftop, but unfortunately it rained. The team took care of everything before we got there and moved the cocktail hour inside to the dance floor, which worked perfectly. The weather cleared up and we were able to use the amazing outside garden space. We even got a rainbow! Really thankful for the team at Ignite, especially Kristen. It was a great day and they made the process so easy. Thank you!

Great experience. Never realized glass making was such an intense and delicate process. It is fun place to go which includes a bit of learning and science . The heat from the ovens kept the place nice and warm in the cold weather . Need to sign a waiver before participating. Went there as part of a team building event . Throughly enjoyed it. You have a choice of making wine , beer or whiskey glass. You get to keep the one you make, although you need to come back and collect it after a week or they ship it to your address for a fee. Thanks to the team at Ignite glass. Very friendly and experienced .

Did a couples event for Valentines Day here, where we got to spend an hour learning about their glass studio and making a glass heart. The guy who worked with us was fantastic. The studio was cool to see. Some nice little things on the tables to occupy time while we were waiting. Great staff all around. And a cool art gallery to check out up front. If you have any opportunity to check something out here, its highly recommended.

Make your own drinking glass experience is amazing! Our instructor was very knowledgeable and told us a lot of interesting information about glass making. The experience itself was mezmerazing - and after 5 days the wine tumblers we created were ready to pick up.

A surreal blend of art and craft! We had a private lesson on a Friday night with another couple, led by the fantastic artist/teacher Pearl. Blowing and shaping glass was honestly was something I never thought I would actually ever get to do in my life, and the whole experience was surreal and amazing! Its relaxing and hypnotic in a way, and incredibly fun. At the end of the evening, we each had created a beautiful glass object (a starfish and a bowl--both really gorgeous thanks to Pearl!), and now all we talk about is how we want to go back and do more. Add this to your bucket list and to the list of reasons why Chicago is an amazing, world-class city.

We held our wedding there last May and would definitely recommend the venue for events. The coordinator on site was helpful and active in the planning process, making it easy to plan from out of town and helping brainstorm ideas for back up plans, vendor ideas, etc. The coordinator was also extremely helpful on the day of, stepping in when my planner didnt deliver and finding solutions for the bad weather. The space was a beautiful backdrop for photos and easy to personalize with my vendors. The room comfortably fit 200 for our wedding reception, including a dance floor. Parking was easy and the price was reasonable, especially when they honored a military discount.
