I have always wanted my own space as an artist and painter. I was so excited to be in this building and I still am. But one of the main reason why I chose this space over the others was Sheena- the building manager. Meeting her was like meeting a family member. She was excited for my experience there, gave me a tour, and has been there for me ever since. I told her when I met her she has made my dreams come true and continues to do so. The community in the building is nice as you are around different creative souls every day. The security is top notch and you can’t get any better than a heated unloading area, free parking, and of course your own artistic space. Very grateful to be here, my only issue is someone below mentioned free coffee.... where the fridge is that?! Share the wealth! other than the coffee i hope I’m here for a while and if I move I hope it’s to an even bigger space in the same building w/Sheena. #goals

After scouring the city for creative work spaces, my partner and I stumbled upon this hidden gem over 3 years ago and never looked back.There is a rare industrial charm here–we love the huge, bright windows in our loft and working next to the river. Add to that a high level of security, indoor (heated) loading dock, oversized elevators with moving carts that we use to load in large sheets of wood, canvas, equipment, etc.The management is also easy to work with and their crew is constantly working to transform the building... like when we asked about a mop sink on our floor after we moved in, they already had plans for one and got it done quickly. Sheena, the loft manager, is professional yet so down to earth and was a big deciding factor in our ultimate decision. Her vision and dedication has really revitalized this place and kept us here over the years.Maybe I am biased and spoiled by the nice people, complimentary coffee and all the other perks but I have a hard time believing that I could ever be lured away from what I’ve found here.

This is an awesome place to rent commercial property. The staff is easy to work with, they will help with any issues that you may have AND this is done immediately. I feel secure at this location, they have cameras everywhere. I’m even looking for a bigger space within that building.The parking is convenient, the location is perfect.

Hands down one of the best hidden gems in the city. I’ve had a fair share of viewings around the way and none came close to how dope this spot is. From location and a friendly and excellent staff they have here. Sheena , the loft manager has been nothing but the BESSSST from the moment she showed me the space I currently work in . The staff on site definitely deal with a handful , but even in so, go out of their way to assist you and be of help. If you consider getting a work space here, I highly recommend reaching out to Sheena.

Best property manager I have ever dealt with, she is super helpful and professional, that is very important when dealing with storage and space , the lofts itself are very well built and equipped and am grateful to be there. Security is top notch and they have multiple working elevators and parking. Facilitys are clean and well maintained and updated. Unlike the other spaces in this area I recommend this spot if your looking for a loft or storage.

The U-haul artist lofts are a dream come true to any aspiring artist or creative. The photos on the internet doesnt compare to the actual experience and atmosphere that is given when entering in this building. The ENTIRE building is securely safe guarded which is perfect because only authorized people have access entering.. The building manager Ms. Sheena is very nice she has great services skills and she appears to be strategically managing this building very diligently. I really appreciate her and the other tenants here feel the same..

Been a tenant for 2 years now, and I must say the level of professionalism, care and service that has been provided by the management and staff has been top notch.

We’ve all had experiences with bad building managers and land lords in Chicago. I’ve been running my business here for several years and I can say the primary reason I’ve stayed is the management. Sure, the building is a cool historic landmark right on the river, but Sheena manages the lofts and she’s gone well beyond the call of duty time and again. I’m blown away by continual support I receive from her and the others here. Highly recommend for anyone in search of an excellent Chicago work loft experience!

Sheena is a phenomenal building manager! She is very prompt on time and caring about her tenants! She goes above and beyond and makes sure everything goes amazing for you!!!! Definitely will recommend her when looking for a spot for creative artists!

Studio West 51 Nicole is totally inflexible with rescheduling and refunds. Would not allow even a partial refund when cancelled 6 days in advance due to emergency. Never working with them again.

Poor experience a reservation was set up a week in advance just to come out of the way to be told no trucks available with trucks literally parked everywhere. Never had this type of experience before
