Amazing water shed with beautiful trails and structures. Small water features and creeks. Beautiful place, just wish they hadnt built everything up around it Im the last decade. Very rarely see animals anymore.

Beautiful find. I especially like wetlands. Places mike this can be small but the trails are useful yet unobtrusive to the environment. Enjoying nature with little human impact. This community has a gem.

This is the old coffee cream before they built the new watershed preserve location, still a nice place to walk around in small but easy to travel in for older folk or people who has trouble moving, plenty of places to sit and relax, some areas need maintenance attention though

Great local park that is not heavy used. Nice hill for sledding in the winter time. The summer time has playground equipment and you can take walk on short trail in the park.

Love this little park. It has a nice wooden platform walk winding along the river. Ive seen finches, canaries, orioles, cardinals, fish, crawfish, turtles, snakes, dragonflies, butterflies and other insect life. There is a competition horseshoe area, a playground, a dog run, picnic areas, etc...You can enjoy downtown Chesterton and the park. During the summer when the pampas grass and cattails grow tall, the park feels isolated from the world even thought it is right downtown. Recent and frequent vandalism of late has ruined a platform overlooking the river by the playground and railings along the path but it is still a nice place to take a walk. The river walk is a nice place to go if you want to watch beaver activity. At least one active beaver is removing all the trees along the river. You can observe day to day as more teeth marks appear on more trees and watch as the beaver works hard to fell the trees, gnaw them into manageable pieces and drag them into the river.

Nice little park about an hour from Chicago. We stopped because our daughter needed a break from the car, and this was perfect for that. Theres a wooden trail along a creek that eventually leads to a childrens play structure. Even cooler, a train line runs right by the park, so we got to see three trains go by during our short visit. Very nice!
