We ordered PING clubs from Golf Galaxy on August 14. My wife called and they said they would call back to give update. No call back and no clubs. It is now September 26....over 6 weeks. They are too big to take care of your needs. I would suggest going to a smaller company. PING controls the price anyway.

Poor customer service, I called earlier in the day for an apt and was told his name was written down as a walk in. When my husband went to get fitted for clubs and no one would help him. He asked several employees for assistance and each time he was told to find another person.

Excellent help with picking the right clubs - try it before you buy it with Pro golf fitters. My guy is Tim Watkins. Also recommend the on-site golf training with PGA Pro Michael Wyatt. Very reasonable training packages with the indoor training technology to analyze your swing and make big improvements quickly.

Bought a new set of irons and driver. I was told I can have them shipped to the store or to my home. I asked if I had them shipped to the store can I test them in the indoor range. I was told that would be no problem as long as there is a bay open. I chose the store. Irons came in first, had no problem testing them in the indoor range. Driver came in couple of days later and seeing two open bays I was told I had to pay $20 to rent a bay. I was told its Dicks policy that you have to rent a bay regardless that you purchased new clubs from them. In addition the person that assisted with getting my club from the back seem to be very put out and condescending. The store manager did accommodate, but very frustrating experience, after dropping good chunk of change with them.I do not suggest you purchase your clubs at a golf Galaxy. Go somewhere that appreciate their customers.

I used to like going into this store because the selection was outstanding. Customer service is brutal.. the last straw was when I wanted a particular club and they didn’t have it in stock, so the sales rep “sold me” on an alternative option.. with the idea that if it didn’t work out, they’d take it back. Less than a week later and one round played, I brought it back saying I wanted the other.. sales rep said it’s used and could only give me store credit for a used club. Manager told me I was given bad information... Nearly a $500 driver, they wanted to give me $220 for it. What a joke.. if you’re going to shop there, don’t ask for help, it’s worthless.. I’ll get my stuff at 2nd swing from now on.

Worked in the industry for a few years while playing 5 days a week. Still know several reps from the large club manufacturers. Store layout is amazing but staff is rude and poorly trained. Overheard one employee flat out lying to a customer to up sell him. I would never buy equipment from this store. Their apparel selection is wonderful.

I hope that people that are looking for reviews about golf stores read this one. I started getting more serious about golf 2 years ago. I had at that point, casually attempted to play golf with my friends/family but never really cared to get better at the sport, which ultimately didnt lead to the game being super enjoyable mainly because, well, I sucked for all the obvious reasons of never really trying. If I shot under 100 (not counting all strokes and using gimmie putts) that was an acceptable round for me. Then something clicked a few years ago and I really started to enjoy my time on the golf course, so much that I had decided to really get into this lifetime sport. I found Golf Galaxy in Chesterfield and off I went. I started right off by humbling myself and asking a club fitter to help me get set up. I did my best to not bring in any preconceived notions about what I needed and instead did my best of letting them do their job. I asked him to let me do a blind study, where I didnt know what club type I was hitting (brand, game improvement, etc) and we came out with 2 clear options using both my perception and the numbers from the swing analyzer. I didnt believe what they were so I considered it a fluke and decided to try again a few days later. We met a second time, did the same trials, and to my amazement, I settled on the EXACT SAME 2 OPTIONS! For me being the type that overanalyzes everything, (yes I studied the heads before buying) having the repeatable evidence was golden and helped me decide.2 years have passed, thousand upon thousands of golf swings on the practice range, and a few rounds of golf later, I shot a legit 83! Ok so that is super cool for me, but as I am getting better and more consistent and also reading lots of material and studying the game, I am also noticing ball flight issues that I was starting to think possibly I needed some equipment adjustment, so back to my trusted Golf Galaxy in Chesterfield. I found my same fitter, told him what I was noticing, and I requested that we start from scratch again and see what we come up with. With sheer amazement, I landed on the same 2 irons AGAIN, just the updated versions, and this time with some changes to the shaft length which affected the head lie. Apparently my golf swing had progressed so far that my swing was really pretty close to ideal and thus he could fit me really accurately because I wasnt as sporadic with my swings. Even after the second very successful fitting, I was still a little hesitant to go the next step further, because my new iron was a players iron pro version, and Im far from a players ability. I was lucky enough to have my fitter have the in house club builder spend some time with me and check my numbers and also my club lie at impact. I asked him a ton of questions, and he studied me, the numbers, my swing, and then proceeded to educate me on why this was an impressive fit for my (beginning to be) textbook type of swing. He explained everything from shaft flex, shaft weight, head speed, ball speed, backspin, height and decent angle, carry and total distance, and dispersion. As if that wasnt enough, the store manager came over to meet with me, spent some time getting to know me and what we were working on, and gave me his experiences and generally just being a good guy. The cool part was that the store manager had helped me in the past get set up with a decent golf bag, travel case, iron head covers, and a few training aids that I needed. I would have expected a store manager to be busy managing and not have time to spend with the little people that just need a few low key items, but he took the time to help me like my success mattered to him. Here is a shout out to the guys at Golf Galaxy in Chesterfield that give the little guys incredible experiences!Club Fitter: Tim Watkins-just wow, the patience and knowledgeClub Builder: Andrew Kramer-incredible knowledge and explanationsStore Manager: Ted Shipton-incredible store manager and customer service

Went to trade in my 3 wood for a new ping g400. When I asked an associate, that was watching the hockey game, what my old club would be worth. He got attitude, and said you can look online for this you know (like my 4 year old daughter). Must be a tough job. I usually go to the one on Manchester, and Ill continue that.

The customer service could use a lot of work. Only a few employees took the time to ask if I needed help with anything. Most just stand around in a circle talking to each other. I have visited this store more than three times, so it is not just a one time experience.Dont get me wrong. The store is great. A lot of great equipment to choose from but I expect a little more enthusiasm.

Have never been so humiliated in a store. Went in looking for new irons, the chap gets a couple of the brands I am interested in and sets up the tracker and stand there watching the golf tournament on the TV, no advice or lets try this. After a few minutes he says I think you need to go to one of our pros before you buy a new set of irons. What a dick! Will never shop at this store again.

I am left handed and was fitted for new Ping G400 irons and came back about a week later to be fitted for the woods. They didnt have all the heads so they needed the Ping rep get the heads that I probably needed. I had been waiting for a couple weeks and received a call that the irons were in. I was irritated that I had not been fitted for the woods and with the additional time I would have to wait so I went in and cancelled the iron order at the front desk which they refunded without asking why. After returning home I received a call from the salesperson that fitted me that the heads were in. I told him my mind was made up and was informed that they refunded an extra $157 that they had given me for a trade in which was correct and it couldnt be straightened out over the phone. Which I confirmed with a manager. I will eventually take care of it but will be in no big hurry to do so.

Went in with the intention of getting a new iron set. After talking with some of the staff, they had me hit my old irons in their range along with new sets. Walked me through everything they were watching and I ended up leaving after getting my clubs re-gripped instead. They were very helpful, saved me some $ in the process.

Not even worth one star! The store has some great features but what’s the point if no one will help you. The staff is so rude and act like you are bothering them if you find one and ask for help because they sure don’t ask if they can help you! My husband is looking to get new irons and wanted to try a few different ones out. The guy gives him one iron...walks away and then we are standing there waiting for him to come back...he walks past us...looks at us and keeps walking. We walked out!! Ended up going to the golf galaxy on Manchester and actually got help! Way better customer service!!

I walked around the store for more than 15 minutes, was never asked if I needed help, which I did. I guess you have to be AARP age and rich to be helped judging by who was getting all the employees attention. Saw three 20-something workers by register 1 on the way out just talking to each other. Brick & mortar stores wonder why everyone shops on the web?

Not even worth one star. Walked around the irons for 45 minutes and not one employee bothered to ask if I needed help. Every employee just either walked by me or kept stocking shelves or whatever they were doing. I came here wanting to hit and purchase new irons today, had cash in my pocket, and I guess since Im not old or dressed up they just assumed I was just looking. Very disappointing!!
