I love a good aquarium and the concept of this one is super interesting. You follow a single drop of rain on its journey to the ocean...supposedly. This storyline gets lost. There’s two buildings, one for the River journey, the other the ocean. There’s a veterans discount, which was much appreciated. It took us about 1.5 hours to go through both. There was super cute signs about social distancing, but no one there to enforce it. Lots of hand sanitizing stations.

Absolutely incredible experience. Of course they have certain features shut down because of covid (mostly touch features and small spaces to get inside of some of the enclosures) but other than that the whole aquarium is absolutely gorgeous and I had a great time with my family. It is amazing how big the enclosures are!

Legitimately one of the best aquariums in the country. I’m from New Orleans and we have a pretty dang good one ourselves but this one is better. It’s better than the national aquarium in Baltimore if you ask me. The two sides of freshwater and salt water is a genius idea and it’s beautifully laid out. It flows well and it’s immensely interesting from top to bottom on both sides. The staff is southern friendly and stocked with knowledge. This place is honestly top 5 aquariums in the world. Easily.

Single ticket tour of 2 separate buildings, the first encompassing fresh water species and the second salt water tropical species. Each busing takes about a hour depending on how long you linger. The penguins are great fun, and the turtle in the main tank is a h for the camera. Wonderfully affordable at our 35/ticket.

This is an outstanding aquarium. Exhibits are well labeled with photos of every fish, arthropod, lizard, turtle, & tortoise in the Tennessee River area & other states, nations, & continents. also grouped in their habitats. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the saltwater & freshwater aquariums.

I remember coming here with my parents as a child. Its been probably... 20 years since I was last here, but its just as wonderful as it was for me all those years ago. Large exhibits with many species of fish that you just dont get to see anywhere else, from all across the world. Out of all the things we did this long weekend, the aquarium was by far our favorite, just because of the fond memories we have of this place when we were children. Will definitely be back, hopefully with our children along with us.

I have been coming to this aquarium since I was a little kid. The location is great and the exhibits are fantastic. We took our son here over the weekend and he had an absolute blast. Especially while watching the otters and penguins play. The staff is friendly and they are making an effort to stagger entry during the pandemic. Its relatively cheap in comparison to other aquariums we have visited too.

A Must SeeIf you are in the area, this is somewhere you have to go. There are so many exhibits to see spread across two different campuses. The variety is immense ensuring the taste of everyone who comes through is met. They do live shows showing off animals periodically which is great both for kids and adults to learn and experience. The only complaint I have is the outdated relic of a walk in entry photo booth. Today, when we all have high quality phone cameras, all this does is make an always awkward encounter of declining the offer. Please remove this.

The Aquarium has adapted for social distancing very well, with timed entrance tickets, social distance markers on the floor and mandatory mask wearing, and the exhibits are always great. On the ocean side though, there were no staff around to enforce and remind people, which was a shame because one family not only chose to ignore mask wearing completely, both the adults and their kids deliberately crowded folks and barged in to tight spaces. Very frustrating when youre trying to keep your family safe!

It would of been a good time but I was constantly being harassed about not wearing my face mask properly.. I had a american flag bandana over my face and it would slide down to the tip of my nose, still covering my nostrils, and theyd literally come running to tell me to fix it.. saw plenty of people not wearing 1 at all and they didnt seem to bother them.. I guess chattanooga being such a liberal area the american flag bandana must of triggered them or something..
