Such a beautiful place to visit! We visited over the Labor Day weekend and had a blast. Things look a little different due to covid-19 precautions but we felt very safe during a visit. Our favorite part was visiting the library! We were able to find a huge book detailing all of the different birds in New Zealand! No one else visited the library during the time we were there. If you want a break from the sun and people this is a great spot to visit.

Beautiful Fall/Halloween scarecrow and pumpkin displays-lots of cute photo opps. One way paths throughout the gardens to help with social distancing. Masks worn by the majority, even while outside. Large, inviting gift shop to browse as well. We ended our time by taking the 3 mile drive to check out the surrounding gardens and green space. It looked like they were getting ready to set up for Christmas, which Im sure will be beautiful. We enjoyed the arboretum on Halloween Day! With Covid, the price for admission per person was $15 a piece. A bit steep, but was willing to spend that amount as a nice treat for myself and my daughter, giving us something different to see and do for a few hours.

They are walker and wheelchair accessible and incredibly comfortable and accommodating. Having compromised mobility can be so limiting in life and more isolating. We are so lucky to have the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum for so many reasons and it is one of my favorite places to visit in the world. It enriches my life to come here and have a place to visit with a friend. So much work went into this place, it is an empire of landscapes. I thank everyone who makes this all possible! It’s a jewel of the university and a jewel of all of Minnesota.

It was a beautifully perfect day for a hike around the Arboretum. The colors were really starting to turn brilliant yellow, red, orange. There is a lot for the younguns to be interested in as well as us elders. We hiked around the lake and the bog. We visited the Sensory Garden, one of the Rose Gardens, and the Japanese Garden We chose to drive the 3 Mile Drive. The drive encompasses so many different gardens, from the Larch Garden, the Pine Tree Garden, the Crab Apple Garden, the Shrub Garden. It goes on & on. Sensory overload. You need to be a member or a guest of a member to get in during this Covid time. You also must make reservations for a time to enter ahead of time. It was full of families and couples on this glorious fall day. But parking was plentiful. There is a center but we chose not to go inside because of the crowds. Almost everyone was wearing masks and keeping social distance.

This is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful places in the state of Minnesota. I recently went here with my girlfriend to walk around in the summer air and it was absolutely stunning. The gorgeous trees surrounding a winding path through the forest, the fountains dotted around, the colorful bushes closer to the prairie, its a beautiful place. I highly recommend the Three Mile Walk, as youll get a smattering of what makes this place so beautiful. Additionally, theres a small Japanese garden that I really enjoy, so I would recommend seeing that as well.

This is the 2nd time we visit the Arboretum. First time was a few years back in Autumn, and this time we visited in the summer. It’s a beautiful place to enjoy nature and see the many different plants and flowers.Because of covid you have to reserve your tickets ahead of time from their website. Tickets are $15 per adult and free for 13 yes and younger.Bathrooms are open and there is a nursing area for moms with babies.I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and cloths, bring water and snacks and plan to spend 2-3 hours here.

This is one of my favorite places in the metro area. It is great all times of the year and if it’s too cold or hot there’s always the orchid garden and a lovely restaurant to grab a bite in. The grounds are immaculate and they have great trails where you can get away and feel like you are alone in the woods. Lots of family activities and there is a shuttle so you don’t have to walk if you don’t want to or are unable. Simply wonderful. I have a season pass and I go there at least once a week and I haven’t seen all of what there is to see nor have I come closer to being bored with this place. I will take everyone I know here eventually. I love the arboretum!!!!

Always a great place to walk, very scenic. Can take the 3 mile drive. Paths are wheelchair accessible. Limited number of visitors during covid, may need an appointment, especially on weekends. Along with the flowers, plants and trees there is a sculpture garden you can walk or drive by. Admission can be a bit steep at $15 each for those 16 and older. Look for Groupon specials or a season pass is a great way to go.

I love the arboretum, no matter what time of year you go it is beautiful and there is plenty to see. In addition to all of the gardens, they have a whole section made up of hiking trails, which offers great variety for a nature lover. I also think it is great that they have their 3 mile drive so people with mobility issues or who might be short on time can still enjoy some of the more popular features.

I love the serenity of nature and the large displays of trees, shrubs, bushes flowers, both annuals and perennials. Size of blooms from miniatures to large blooms. Colors of every hue. The shutdown from the pandemic has inside areas shut down. Usually there are a large number of volunteers who help with cleaning the flower beds but social distancing has impacted the usual immaculate state of this large arboretum, but still very beautiful! The shady spot on the Minnesota trail currently is finishing up on blooming Lady Slippers,.Minnesotas state flower. Streams showcase the sound of water over varying depths of rocks.a place for the sounds of nature to sooth your tight heart strings after the hustle and bustle of the workaday life. A quiet place surrounded by beauty is absolutely healing, if you sit quietly in this place and let it soak gently in. Children who come with parents that are keen on introducing beautiful nature, will inherit a lifelong passion for appreciating this beauty. A precious gift. This means that the next generation will continue supporting this place for the future. Think what a improvement to savor the beauty with others (instead of fighting, and quibbling over minutia ..) If the quiet is too much(LOL)., there are other options.. at least when the state opens up swimming pools. Stock car races, and carnivals. Space for savoring natural beauty in color, texture, and varied in the bright light to shade.... Awesome..

I like going here and seeing the nature. Its just a beautiful and peaceful place to go. I like going here and doing work in the Japanese Garden. But, if you are looking for lots of flowers and looking for fish in the Japanese Garden, then you would probably want to go during the summer. But! That doesnt mean there isnt stuff season-long. They have stuff going on every season including winter! (Personally my favorite times to go are Winter and Summer.) So its a very open nature place, and it look very lovely.

There is a cafe with good food and is reasonably priced. If you really like it you can take the price of your admission that day and it will count towards a annual pass which is great.
