Culbreth theater is in the same UVA building as Ruth Chaplan and I think the Helms theater too. Ive always found the employees extremely helpful and the facilities have been redone in this last decade so that theres comfortable seating while waiting for the theaters to open. The bathrooms are large and accommodating where many years ago there was not enough bathrooms for the amount of people there. In general I find the seats a bit small and the legroom lacking compared to other theaters Ive been in. One big Note I would add is the place is not really handicapped friendly. Im sure they say theyre handicapped accessible and probably are in some way but I would guarantee that you would have to sit all the way in the back of the house since theres steep steps down to the seats. with all this being said I frequent these theaters all the time because the shows are amazing. Maybe not Broadway quality but certainly extremely enjoyable for the price!! I hold two season passes.

Nice theater for watching the Theater Departments shows. I have enjoyed Avenue Q, Monte Pythons Spam-allot, and the Pirates of Penzance at this location. Student tickets are $20.
