Great environment, very friendly staff! I ALWAYS enjoy myself when I am there. This isnt just for gays the drag shows are for EVERYONE!! Just remember there are policies in place just as there are anywhere else! Impulse GSC is very strict when it comes to their policies which is why I love this place so much! They always make sure their guests are safe and they have a great time!

Never will you find a more welcoming place in all of Virginia then Impulse. The people are warm and friendly, the service amazing and only good times are to be had.Try to catch a drag show, as they are the most fun. Queens and Kings to entertain for days.

I have been to tons of clubs. This one is a safe great place to meet people in the community. There is always great music and different activities like Karaoke going on. Plus amazing Drag Shows. I cant wait to go again.

Do not go to impulse if you arent a member. I seriously wish I had listened to all the negative reviews before I paid my cover charge.They only serve beer and wine, so you cant get any cocktails. They dont tell you this before you enter either, and the bartender will treat you like a complete idiot for not knowing.When I posted a doesnt recommend review on their Facebook page, their account got extremely rude and defensive. Very unprofessional.Additionally, the patrons all started commenting calling me a liar and an @sshole, so it appears that the clubs patrons are generally very rude as well.This club might be fine if youre a member, but I would never recommend it to someone looking for some fun, casual nightlife.

This is the place to be if you like awesome people and a great environment. The music is great and the atmosphere is always welcoming. An experience thats totally worth it and the bartender is the best! Kareoke, amazing shows, free pool, and so much more are offered!

I rarely go to inpulse, but almost every visit is a terrible experience. Most recently, I vocalized that I didnt want to pay the $10 cover charge to get in for less than an hour; (I wasnt driving) yet ended up paying the cover and being put out for expressing my sentiment less than a minute after. If anyone can explain how that isnt a scam with refusal to refund said cover charge, Id love to here the legality of said sentiment.

Not good. Arrived at 10, was told the bartender would be late... fine... Went in and sat at the bar, waiting patiently. Bar manager grabbed a drink of water and didnt so much as look at us, another drag queen grabbed a snack...15 mins later we spoke to the front door and asked for a refund, wed decided to leave. The bartender was outside chatting and giggling as she walked in. Still no refund. Very disappointed. Im spending my money at another bar as I type this. I would love to believe that the owner doesnt know how his/her employees are truly behaving.

Staff was unfriendly; it was a $10 cover to enter, however we were informed after the fact that we couldnt purchase alcohol unless we were members. Bartender was dismissive of the fact we werent informed, or that we were visiting from out of town and just wanted to get a drink. Extremely uncomfortable atmosphere overall; not a surprise it was empty on a Saturday night.

I think on a normal day I would have rated a 3 (ok) but today its a 4 because I thoroughly enjoyed the Miss Impulse Pageant. This was my first time at the venue with my fiance. Im bi/pansexual and my fiance is straight but the club informed us all were welcome. However we received quite a bit of dirty looks from members, especially my fiance. We basically kept to ourselves and thats about it...Idk if well return again except for big special events like tonight. Its fantastic allows many of people in there. Dont act up though, security will remove you if you are told more than one time to straighten up.

Been here several times and would normally rate it a 3( simply because they stay open after other bars close) however after the Extreme level of Rudeness From The Owner this past weekend this place gets a 1 - Cville is a small town with an even smaller gay community and to turn away someone at the door because of the owners pride and Sass got in the way. I Love the drag shows and the people that work there but I dont see myself going back. The atmosphere is ok because of the people but the physical state of the bar is Lacking! The music is ok and the drinks (oh wait you have to bring your own) sometimes theres jelloshots and a beer. I will say I Love the Drag Shows truly the only reason Id Ever go back is to support those girls! But Im not sure its worth the hassle- to me (as a lesbian) should be a safe place and the level of rudeness and unprofessionalism was a Huge turn off! Also found it funny most of these yelp reviews were written be people that work there..again Unprofessional.
