Great combination of pinball and arcade games. Drink prices are very reasonable. The owner Zach goes out of his way to make all his patrons feel welcomed regardless of their gaming skill level.

Had a blast down memory lane.Also shout to the guy behind the bar. I left my wallet and he was honest when I called.

I look forward to a return trip. The place has a nice atmosphere.

EDIT: Since Im being called out for pettiness, allow me to provide a reason for a one star review.Only once that Ive gone has service been acceptable. If you werent a regular, youre ignored, or worse. A group I had gone with was being called derogatory slurs by regulars and the bouncer, and a manager on duty started screaming at us over something that had already been okd with both the bar and group Id gone with. Upon bringing this unacceptable behavior online, instead of speaking with his team, the owner instead went into the Discord server of our group and ran his mouth about me, essentially turning the community against me and ostracizing me bc he got his feelings hurt.The selection of games was typically poor outside of Killer Queen, drink selection was lacking and expensive bc not everyone drinks beer, and the regular crowd was cold and uninviting on most occasions. I will say that the ambiance was nice, well done murals decorated the place and it had a truly evolved arcade feel. Games were typically on the inexpensive side. But that requires ignoring a LOT in order to enjoy oneself.On a final note, if youre able to get mad at me for being petty, you have the time to come in and change your hours, have listed yourself as temporarily closed due to Covid, or changed to permanently closed after your lot was sold. Right now it says youre open, even though you just said youve been closed for six months, which is a waste of anyones time and gas that isnt aware of your current situation. Not that I wouldve figured you to be courteous enough for that.It DOES suck to see a small business, especially one devoted to gaming, go under, even if this does feel like Karma. If you manage to relocate, lets hope youll be better next time.

Had two really bad experiences on two different visits with some staff being too strict with rules while they dont strictly treat others the same as me. But Im going to finally let it go just because you guys are struggling in such hard times. Maybe Ill visit one more time or two someday in the future. I heard you guys were closing because of the Covid-19.

They had Black Knight pinball and quite a rew other fun games. Definitely worth a trip.

Neat concept for a business. Has a bar with great beers and lets us 80s/90s kids relive our video game days. Only pay $1 for a lifetime membership as long as you keep the card youre given.

My favorite arcade bar in town. Has a ton of the best pinball games around. Also has other arcade games which are good too. There is a five vs. five Queen Bee joust type game that is super easy to learn and highly addictive. They also have a fast draw game that is great fun too. Beer options are good and they also have super cheap PBR!!

Place is a blast from the past. (Irony being Im not old enough to remember arcades like it lol) The drinks are okay and theres a decent amount of games to play. Yaoi right above the restroom deserved a pic.

First experience at a bar in Charlotte and this was one of the top ten best experiences Ive had. Super friendly locale, staff were kind and very attentive. The games were a quarter a piece and so much flipping fun to play. Cant wait to stop by here again when we are back this way

Absolutely love Abari. Great selection of games and pinball; old school arcade feel.The staff is very friendly and attentive to everyone. The bar service is prompt, and if there is an issue with a game someone jumps right out to fix it.

Abari is a great time! The murals outside alone are cool enough to earn a visit. The inside is filled with Pinball machines, and retro joy stick style games. The drinks are good and cheap, and theyve recently added a back room.

Abari is not only Charlottes best arcade bar it might be the best in the state. If you love pinball you have to come check it out. The Abari wannabes of Charlotte are bars with arcade games. Abari is an arcade with a full bar. Their staff is excellent and pleasant and they run a lot of events that reach a diverse group of gamers. Their machines are kept in excellent shape and are quick to repair any issues.

Five stars are not enough. This place is awesome. Its frictionless fun for 80s 90s 00s gamers. All games have cup stands for beers and coins. Cash is not an issue as you can pay with card for quarters. Chill out room with Nintendo 64 and tons of arcade and pinball games

Omg! This has been my favorite place in Charlotte so far!!! You need to get a membership, but you get it on your first visit. The games are so fun. Brought out my competitive spirit and I had so much fun!! I wish I could find a spot like this at home.

Good selection of games, great drink prices, staff is friendly and fun, and the atmosphere is a perfect mix of chill and nostalgia. the only reason its four stars and nuit five is that every game costs quarters (except N64 on the TV at the front). other barcades in Charlotte have free games.

Its nice, and drinks are the cheapest Ive ever seen. I liked the variety of games and the different pinball machines.

This place is really rad. If you like drinks, arcade games, and pinball. This place has it all. Loads of fun games to try out. Bring some friends or date! My first time I went here was for my friend’s bachelor party and we all had a blast.

Awesome to have a place like this in Charlotte! Went on the weekend with my 7 year old, allowed earlier in the day. Cheap beer here and lots of excellent games. Everything was in fantastic condition.

This place is great! Great drinks, great atmosphere. Super fun games. However as a women, the bathrooms were lacking. 2 solo bathrooms and one was out of order and the other out of toilet paper.

Kids free before 5p on Saturday I think Sunday also. There is a full bar. They also have retro consoles & games at no extra charge. Love the vibes and community.

Pretty impressive place if you are an arcade fan. I was impressed they even had old school Asteroids. My go to in an airport when I was dealing with layovers.

Really fantastic atmospheres, plenty of great games even some for up to 8 players. Good beer selection and prices. Bring cash for quarters so you can play the arcade machines.

One of the last places you can find many classic arcade games and pinball machines. I found Mars Attacks! The bartenders are pretty awesome too.

I come here quite often. Every time is a great experience, the games are fun and work properly. I’d have to say this is probably my favorite spot in Charlotte. Also the bar staff is friendly and always quick and precise!

A cool video game arcade bar in Charlotte! Use the change machine and get your quarters ready, head over to the bar and grab a beer and then youre ready to choose an arcade or pin ball machine of your choice and have a great time! They even have a super Nintendo and n64 to play!

Nice retro bar with a full bar, decent beer selection, and lots of old school arcade machines. They also have classic video game machines for play. Overall a good place to enjoy a few hours.All the games are pay to play though, most are 25c/50c for a game.

Pretty cool place, except incredibly difficult to get a drink on a Saturday night unless youre a girl. I stood at the bar for quite a while until I finally left and a girl in our party went up and had no problem.Anyway, cool assortment of games, and a lot of them are free to play

This place was really fun! The drinks are reasonably priced, the games are plentiful & nostalgic. Hubby & I went there Saturday evening with some work friends, & the place was packed. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. I have an 8 year old who would love this place, so I will have to lookout for your kid friendly hours so she can partake in the arcade fun too! Will definitely be back!

Wow dont even need to buy a pinball machine, these guys have all the best machines ever made, Funhouse, Twilight Zone, Addams Family, the list goes on and on! Even have some other Fun Arcade games like track and field

This is a really fun spot. Lifetime membership is only $1 and arcade games are 25 - 50 cents to play. They have an area set up with a tv, couch, and old school gaming systems (Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64) where you can play all the classics for free. Its a really nostalgic feel. The place also has a bar, I recommend the Princess Peach!

It is like walking back into the 90s with the best arcade games. Now if they just served food i would never need to leave.

Wasnt allowed in with my 13 year old niece. Guess the games are too violent or they are doing more than selling drinks and playing video games. We drove over an hour for the let down, went to The Basement Arcade Bar and was welcomed with open arms! I gave The Basement Arcade Bar 5 stars, and yes Abari, they are a members only bar too. Unless youre looking for trouble dont go to this place, you can tell by the door man that its a druggie infested hangout, they were right, no place for a 13 year old, or a 37 year old man for that matter!

This place is awesome! My family visited on a Saturday afternoon and loved playing the various games.

Whats really to say? Abari is always great. When its slow, when its crowded, especially when its free play. Never disappointed when I go. If you go there and have a bad time, thats on you.

Good place to hang out with friends and play some retro arcade games. Games are cheap, just bring some cash and coins. They have drinks if you are into that, but because of that, I wouldnt consider this a kid friendly place.

I love Abari.. the drinks are reasonable and the games are vintage!! I love Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 which they have a setup for both. Ms PAC Man is always available along with other arcade favorites. If you need a little snack, visit the doughnut shop next door. You will not be disappointed

This is a very intimate place with games and of course alcohol! Its an inexpensive choice when hanging out with coworkers and friends

A great place to chill with friends after a long day or an even longer week. Fun variety of games and adequate seating if you wanna just step back from the arcade to drink and talk.

Really cool spot. They have a bunch of old-school arcade games with a ton of pinball machines, too. They have a bar at the back with some local brews. Its a $1 membership fee, so have some cash. You should definitely give this place a try if youre on that side of town and what to blow a couples hours before a dinner or show. Youll have a blast.

This place is fantastic! I go there weekly just to play Initial D, but a few pinball tables (Total Nuclear Annihilation in particular) keep catching my attention. The lineup is fantastic, and youll have fun for hours! I spend about $10 every time, and i walk out eager to return!If you see me there, feel free to challenge me to a race. Just look for the bug-eye goggles around my neck.

First time going with the Family.. and it was Great!! KIDS are allowed but the cut off is 5pm and thats still great so come Early if you bringing the kids and if Not have a Blast with the Classics!!

It amazing there are lots of games and cup holders throughout the place. The drinks are anywhere from $3-13 and they are all amazing. I left my phone on a game and they had it for me at the bar great customer service and a good atmosphere.

Everything is so reasonably priced its such a good time out! They mostly have pinballs but they def have plenty of other games too! The bar has an affordable draft list as well, and theres a PARKING LOT! Seriously what more do you need on a Friday night?

Love the place. I legally cant drink but it definitly has that authentic, old school arcade feel mastered. No tickets, no prizes, just fun. My one critique is that they dont have duplicates of machine so if someones already playing you have to wait your turn, but with their growing collection its easy to find something else to play while waiting.

Probably my favorite bar/arcade or arcade/bar in Charlotte. They have a great selection of retro, and a few newer, arcade machines as well as pinball.They require a membership in order to get in, but its really just $1 at the door and remember to keep your card. Additionally, they can put a charge on your tab in case youre like me and just dont carry cash for change machines anymore.The biggest perk is that during the day kids are welcome! However, once 5 PM hits they need to find a new place to hang out as it becomes adult time.A great place to stop on your way home from work or just to wait for some traffic to clear.

Great crew, great games, just a fun place to hang out. Enjoyed my time there and will definitely be back. I hope they add a kitchen or a semi permanent food truck.

I would give it a 5, but i feel like it needs more music. Maybe they are working on that already idk. But cool place over all.

This place is amazing. I absolutely loved it. Tons of arcade games & liquor are literally the perfect match. I had such a good time. The bartenders were so nice. And a lifetime membership is a whole one dollar bill. I wish it were bigger but its so much fun. I recommend this place to all of my friends. This place is so down to earth. 10/10 would return.
