This is a great park that has a rec center basketball goals on the outside. I would recommend who likes to stay physically fit and active. Also soccer and baseball fields. They finally putting the basketball goal back up.

Removed the benches to help clean up the bums. Enjoyable play to play tennis, disc golf or walk around.

Love this park. Simple great park to work out at or read a book.

Sugar Creek Park is a big area where there a soccer field, tennis court, frisbee area and a golf course. Sometimes theres a trail for frisbee but other time it ends. There was a trail in the woods that could easily be taken but the trail end up degrading and youll get lost if you dont remember the way back or wonder off the wrong path. But I got to admit I saw a crane last time when it was migrating. It was a real beauty site. Im pretty sure its because rarely anyone visits there that people litter there trash on ground and anywhere they can find. There are benches and bathrooms you can use sometimes locked or unlock because you have to make a reservation to be allowed to use the bathroom. The water fountains in the bathroom do work but the water take a long time to go down so. You either wait or have to flick it right away so the next person can drink without getting wet. Although the water fountain near the tennis does work. But not on winter days nov-dec. Even though theres flaws in this park its quiet and there even a playground for the kids as well as a basketball court that I forgot to mention. Plus Im pretty sure the natural theme of the park makes it beautiful, even though theres a bit of construction still happening at the moment.

Great community park. Well kept grounds for the most part. Clean restrooms and available drinking fountains. Also 3 areas designated for picnics with 2 grills per area. Will get busy during the weekends and on occasion during the weekdays. With 2 feilds and a basketball court its attractive to locals for games and practices.

This is an updated post. After visiting the tennis courts again, the tagging had been removed and there was a water fountain just outside the courts. Hope more people become interested in tennis!

Nature! Wide clear paths, beautiful trees, fresh air. My first time there. I was walking the disc golf path. Lol

Awesome disc golf course. But there was a lot of trash in the woods and several shady people around the back nine. Wouldnt recommend coming to this park alone.

This is a solid par 3 18- hole disc golf course with many challenging pin positions, elevated baskets and distances. The course itself actually a 3.5-4 stars. Very well maintained and thought out. What brings it down is the location which is in a lower income part of Charlotte and has a large number of homeless/ sketchy people that frequently show up on the course. It is what it is but, as a female, I would never play this course alone or in low light. Everyone should make sure to not leave valuables in their cars.

Great disc course. Nicer playground... sadly no swings. Animal friendly. The center has awesome programs for the kids. They do a lot for the community.

Nice park. They offer multiple recreational activities for kids as well as adults. It would be so much better if the gym could be kept at a decent temperature. It was extremely hot inside the gym. There was no air flow which made it nearly impossible to play basketball.

I went here for the disc golf course. The disc golf, or as the cool kids call it, FRIZBEE GOLF, was pretty dope. I was a little bit confused about where to start, I never did find the first hole, and also I somehow skipped holes 12-16, not really sure how I did that. Overall, the course is marked super well, and the signs are helpful for finding the baskets. They had one elevated basket, it was pretty coool. I enjoyed the various holds through the forest, I thought those were the dopest ones. Additionally, I think that this is a course that would be enjoyable for both beginners and more experienced veterans of the the FRIZBEE GOLF COMMUNITY. Definitely check it out, it is pretty great. Prettttty great.

Its an interesting park with a variety of different terrain. Wooded paths, ball fields, BBQ grills, and a frisbee golf course. Abundant parking. Good park for the locals.

Disc golf. Great way to past the time.

This is a great park to relax and enjoy the outdoors. It can get busy since they have softball fields and a basketball court plus the jungle gym for the kids. I have no complaints. My son’s football team will practice here since they have lit fields for little leaguers.

Very welcoming & accomadating environment! For someone who really doesnt like the doctors office I was at ease at this establishment! Wonderful team of professionals who are reassuring & offer premier care!!

My family and I had a great time at Sugaw Creek Park. We played the 18 hole disk golf course. It could have used a little more directions from hole to hole. Other than that it was a great day out.

Ok park. Decent size play area. Tennis courts are nice with viewing bleachers. Not a disc golf aficionada, but this park seems to have a nice course and is pretty popular with those who like disc golf. This park also has baseball and soccer fields. There are bathrooms inside the rec center, which offers different activities. The one thing I dont like are the shady characters. Otherwise, nice park.

You have to worry about homeless people Pickens fights with you while youre trying to enjoy your day of disc golf its like theres a homeless shelter without a building and the field is the shelter
