One of my top locations for Mexican food. Everyone at our table was quite pleased. Ive had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back. The place has a great atmosphere.

First time there the food was great but took forever to get it. Not the norm at most Mexican places. If the food was so so we wouldnt be back but we will give them the benefit of doubt that they were having an off day.

The food there is delicious. All of it. I had the tamales and they are the best ones I have ever had. The service is fast and well done. There is something there for everyone.

WOW! Best Mexican in Charlotte hands down. So authentic and flavorful. Jose the manager was able to make a dish vegan for me and it was absolutely incredible . My husband loved the steak fajitas. Highly recommend!

Terrible food, and even worse service. My chicken wasnt cooked all the way through, and we had to wait 40 minutes to get our waters refilled, and none of our food came out at the same time and there were all of us (8) and 2 other tables with 6 people on staff. Such a let down!

DELICIOUS! We love the selection, sauces and the staff is really nice and welcoming. They did forget our fries with our torta which is worth the fifth star since it’s THE side but everything else has been on point!

SO. GOOD.I moved from San Diego about 12 years ago and hadnt found good Mexican food until we ate here. It was great. Fajitas, Sopes, even the rice and beans were spot on.

Got Postmates order, everything was perfection. Great value too!! My favorite was the chorizo taco and the sope (I had never tried before but highly recommend!) They also gave me complimentary chips, idk if other Mexican restaurants do that but the chips were fresh and crunchy. Happy to have found this place

They have a pretty good menu and they have taquitos. They feature live music on the weekends Im led to understand and they have a candy store. Points off for crudely cut and chopped vegetables such as radishes and especially onions which should be kept small were rather large and unappetizing. Id go back back but I would mention the onions..

This place is really good. When Im around this part of Charlotte and craving authentic Mexican food, I go to La poblanita. I usually get the carnitas, or the fajitas lunch special but everything else Ive eaten from here is delicious. Their staff has always been friendly and courteous.During this COV 19 pandemic, they only do to go or deliver. They were prompt for my carry out. I got the chicken fajitas. It came with rice and beans and tortillas. It also came with their three different salsas AND chips and salsa that they usually provide if you were to do eat-in.

Best Mexican since I lived in Los Angeles

We decided to come here for lunch and it was our first time visiting this restaurant. Weve visited plenty and had our fair share of Mexican restaurants, enjoyed many plates and had plenty of left overs to take home. This restaurant in particular was somewhat different, seemed very particular about their food and their platter representation. I ordered their taco combo which is a plate with refried beans, yellow rice and two tacos of your choice of meat. As you can see my picture shown here there was a small amount of refried beans and yellow rice and of course my choice of two tacos which were steaks which had no flavor what so ever, had to use salt which I never do on any ordered meal. What didnt come along with these tacos as I received my order were cilantro, onions or lime. Luckly for me I knew to order this which in any other restaurant they would ask the customer if theyd like these toppings or at least they would bring them as a side if it is something a customer would not like on their tacos. I also had a plastic fork for a utensil while my husband had metal utensils to use for his order. He ordered a chicken soup Mexican style of course, usually would come with tortillas of your choice and lime for flavoring. Which we had to ask for as well and when our waitress came to get our drinks, brought our drink orders and then asked for our food order that was the last of her seen. I had to ask for her twice to some other waiters to have her bring condiments, another drink order and it took her so long just to attend to us. Smh. I would only recommend this place if youre starving, have no where else to search for or just in a rush for Mexican and are craving for it. Other then that I will not come here again for lunch or dinner and or even for just a drink. Hope others had better luck or will have better luck then we did.

This place has a great family atmosphere..it is owned by local people from what I can gather. The wait staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I particularly am not a fan of spicy cuisine however I make an exception to myself just for this place. Great food excellent bar...will recommend to anyone from the whole family or just a few drinks to watch the game or shoot some pool..

Best Mexican food I have found in Charlotte. I have high expectations from living in the southwest for 10 years. Highly recommend.

I came her with my wife originally on a Sunday, and the experience was great. The food was tasty, and had more authentic options. The was a live performer who, while loud, was endearing. Weve since been back twice trying to get that same experience and failing. Both times the food was cold. It was competently made, so there is no good reason for it. Both times since the original visit have been an ordeal after the meal to get a ticket. Just bad experiences. I hope that they figure out whatever is causing this.

Love this place. Always visiting here with the wifu and getting drunk on their 2% alcohol margaritas. Sure, it took me 4 drinks to feel anything. But other than the expensive non alcoholic drinks they give you the food is wonderful. (Stick to beers and not the mixed drinks and you will get your moneys worth)

Never fails. I always call to let them know to have my table ready, sometimes a meal ready aswell. Not once was my requests fulfilled. I understand if it’s a first time client, but I visit often. Like twice a week sometimes & they never fail to make me wait 49 min before my food is served. Highly upsetting.

The food was pretty good. It took a while to come out considering there were not very many people, but other then that, I’d recommend checking them out!

Good food, and good service. Being a Californian. I have had better, but by NC standards they are pretty good. I love their Menudo.

Crunchy tacos were tasty. Soft tacos a bit mushy. Cheese chili relleno was outstanding.

As black Americans, my husband and I were treated horrible! The hostess initially tried to seat us in the very back of the empty restaurant. When we asked to be seated in a better area she got an awful attitude. Our waitress Karen was the worlds worst. The food was average. We should have left when we drove up to the place judging by the outside. The inside was 1987 and the glasses, utensils and decor was 1969. Terrible customer service and experience. Save your money and dignity. This place is not worth it. We were Karen’s only customer and she could not handle one customer just imagine If they were busy!!

Went in for lunch with a buddy and our kiddos after hearing a handful of recommendations for La Poblanitas and our experience did not let us down!Service was kind and prompt. The chips were fresh and the salsa was very nice. I got an al pastor chimichanga, my friend got carnitas, and we both got our kids chicken quesadillas. All of our food was very good!The al pastor was very well marinated and flavored but not wet. My friend said his carnitas was very good. The chicken quesadillas were very good and flavorful especially for food from the kids menu.We will certainly go back. Next time, I will try some dessert and check out the dulceria within the restaurant. I cannot imagine being let down!

What an absolute find this place was. Easy parking, very clean and lively lovely interior decor. The staff was welcoming and very pleasant. Prices were good on just about everything. Oh and the food, genuine, authentic, flavorful.They have different events throughout the week and it is clear the place probably really gets hopping..Do yourself a favor, make sure you give this Steele Creek gem a try...

I didnt get to visit the candy section, but I ordered carry out tacos, they were delicious, handmade tortillas with 3 choices of salsa and a bag of chips, I loved it; services were great the lady who took my order was the same as the one who greeted me at arrival and she was friendly. My partner usually, hates Mexican restaurants, but he made me endure Charlotte traffic at lunchtime to bring me here. WORTH IT! A good strong margarita took the edge off from the traffic, then tamales happened... I have no more words.

Good food & service

A+. Food is terrific and authentic. Full bar and the place stays busy. Its much more contemporary on the inside than the exterior would make you think. Service is very good. There is actual heat in the salsa they bring with the chips. Plus they bring 3 smaller containers of different salsas which I love. Lots of Latino customers, which is a good sign. I got the tacos and they got to the table in about 3 minutes. So good. This place is 100% on my radar.

I have lived in the area for years and past this place without a thought. A friend took me there for dinner and I was shocked! You see this place is one of those restaurants that don’t stand out. Their parking lot is dark and if you don’t pay attention you will pass the place. That would be a mistake because it is SO AWESOME. The food is great, the staff is friendly, the place is clean and comfortable and you will go back!

The food was excellent. It was different than the Mexican food in a typical Mexican restaurant. The have a Mariachi band on Friday. The Mariachi band was a lot of fun.

Awesome and amazing my girlfriend got every cents worth out of her chicken and avocado salad. The tacos are amazing. And youre kind of missing out if you dont hit up the candy store on the way out.

Fantastic, fresh made food. Abundant flavors in every bite. Great prices. Outstanding service from our waitress who was extremely friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the mariachi band and the extra flare they added to the visit. A new go-to spot. Above all else, the reason to visit is the food.

Such a wonderful restaurant. The staff is warm and personable. The food is delicious. Friday nights they have a very talented mariachi band playing.

Were fairly well traveled. It was great to discover excellent authentic Mexican food (alongside the usual American Mexican restaurant offerings). We sat at the bar and enjoyed conversations with the entire staff. Our waitress was attentive, and Jose was very gracious and personable. Our only regret is were just passing through the area and are unable to visit on a regular basis. Thank you for our amazing meals, and for making us feel welcome!
