We absolutely LOVED the museum! Even though a couple of the exhibits had closed or were limited, the rest of the things to do & see were great. Having two very inquisitive 4 year olds & helpful, knowledgeable staff made the visit well worth the prices of admission (my personal favorite part was the aquarium!)

Our family had a lot of fun here my kids are almost 7 and 3..we also had a almost 8 and 12 year old as well as a infant with us and they all had fun. They have a baby quiet area but babies can get restless of course. It took us about 4 hours to thoroughly enjoy everything. Lunch prices are mediocre depending what you get but you get big servings the best deals are the kids pizza 5.00 and 4.00 big tray of fries or onion strings. Drinks are extra costly 2.00 for a can A CAN! We didnt know it but seen many people bring lunch in and we wish we would have. IF YOU HAVE EBT OR WIC its 1.00 to go and 3.00 extra for any exhibit featured for example the bug exhibit. Great day trip!

Great place to take the kids. I have a 10 year old and a 6 year old. They both had a blast.

Took the kids here, 7 and 11, last Saturday for an discovery event. They were left with a great impression and spent all car ride home and all next day talking about what theyve learned. To be honest, even I found myself mesmerized by facts and fun tasks. It was also really busy, so good to see that in 2019 there is still such a high demand for discovery and not just sitting on their phones.

Easy to find and plenty of parking spaces. Parking fee was reasonable.

Always a great time with the family. I just wish parents would do better watching their children. There needs to more staff on site to ensure safety and prevent parents from disappearing as if they offer free onsite child care.

Affordable, in the park location. Paid $12.00 for the day, we left the car in the garage and walked around the city for some lunch

The deck is fine and convenient, but the attendant on Saturday was pathetic. We didnt park there (although we had planned to) because the entrance was blocked with a Full sign. Circled the block and could see many vacant spaces. Still had to park several blocks away and as I was walking to the museum, he was just waking up from his nap and removing the sign. Need more attentive help.

I use this parking garage every time I visit uptown Charlotte. I arrived at 11:55 to get my vehicle before the deck closed at midnight. The parking deck had already shut the gates even with 5 minutes to spare. I take ownership in waiting until the last minute to get my vehicle. I do wish the garage would display the closing time in multiple places instead of just the bottom of the sign out front. I also found misinformation on a parking website which states the lot is open 24/7.

This place was very unique and greatly set up for children. I will say its more for younger kids but they will enjoys the activities they have there

Clean and bright parking deck right across the street from Discovery Place. There is also a crosswalk on the third level to access the center. Make sure to get your parking permit validated at one of the customer service desk inside Discovery Place

Great fun and loved I max.

Clean and easy to navigate parking garage. Access to Discovery Place is on the 3rd floor. Ramp to elevator is only on one side. Pushing a stroller required walking halfway around the garage. FYI garage entrance is for members only. Thus, you may need to take two elevators to enter the museum. One in the garage, one to go down to the lobby to get your tickets/wrist bands.

Great parking option uptown. Its close proximity to Tryon St. makes it very convenient. If you park after 5pm, its a flat $5 rate.

If you get here when the discovery place opens and stay in the downtown area for the whole day the $15 price tag is completely justified. If youre only here for an hour or two then perhaps find somewhere else to park.
