They are a professional agency who receives the SAG projects breakdowns. They made me audition and send them a self tape audition to see my level of talent and to make sure I would be able to audition since 99% ask for a taped audition. Also Im happy that the majority of my auditions have been Union.

It’s been years since I’ve auditioned for them. From my personal experience(at least during that time, around 4-6 years ago) if they like you and you’re the talent that they are looking for they will sign you on the spot and will not ask for payment up front and represent you right away and your payment to them will come from the gigs they book you on. This is ONLY if you’re what they’re looking for.If you are not what they are looking for at the moment, they’re still going to try to hustle you out of paying up front for representation/“development” and this is how they make money off those who are just simply not qualified. Rather then just telling you “hey you’re just not what we’re looking for in this field” like a real modeling or talent agency would do or just send you on your way. They are a real agency however it’s just a tad sketchy with how they work. Could be better. I gave up modeling as it’s a very nasty world to go into. If you are looking to expand your portfolio as an actor, evolution talent would actually be a great place to start. As far as modeling goes, I would just get out of Charlotte. Go to New York. Or become an influencer on Instagram. Lol you are much better off and will make more money and have more exposure since everything is digitalized now and done solely on Instagram. Talent agencies are starting to phase out anyways for modeling .

As a beginner actor with zero experience Evolution Talent Agency made it possible to get my foot in the door. Im still far from where I want to be, but I know that Beth and Julia have my back. Theyll have yours as well if you choose to sign with them. Now, I know what youre thinking so here it is: Evolution WILL NOT ask for money up front, BUT acting/modeling does require an investment. Headshots, training, etc. So when youre asked to pay for headshots and pay for training, which can be expensive, just know that youre investing in your future, and its an absolute must. I promise you wont be disappointed!

This is not the ideal place to visit if you want to pursue modeling!Went here in mid January (when it was freezing cold) for an open call; they made us stand outside and fill out a piece of paper with our names and stats (measurements). They dont even take time to see your walk or if youve even acquired a new look that differs from their photo. In all honesty, I was extremely dissatisfied with the overall casting process and have seen many more efficient ways to handling the castings. Unprofessional and Not worth your time.

So just a heads up to those who are new to this and seeking someone to represent them, if you’re sick and you live on the other side of Charlotte like in Ballantyne and you’re thinking about going to an open call here I wouldn’t try it. Doesn’t matter if you’re extremely pretty they’re looking for people who have taken classes for acting you must take at least 8months of the acting classes to be considered and if you’re there to model they only do 20% there which is what I was there to do. My reasoning for 2 stars is due to the fact that this information should be posted somewhere on there website to keep people from wasting there time or gas driving out that way. Whenever I went to the open call there were a lot of people there that a lot of people had to stand the whole time so this kind of communication is important to post on your website to keep people who don’t qualify from wasting their time showing up and taking a seat from those who do. I also had an issue with the fact that he told people including me to memorize the script even though being there for modeling and then came to cut people anyway without auditing them even though we had memorized the script. I didn’t give it one star because I like taking risk and discovering what I’m up against.. I will check out the classes and contact a different agency to represent me. I’m one of those people who are extremely big on communication and him telling me to go remember the script and not auditing me on it instead of saying they can’t really use people for modeling is huge no no in my book. Whenever you call someone back in a room you should be extremely blunt with them and let them go right then and there NOT tell them to go back out into a sea of people ask them to remember a script and cut them without auditing okay Im deducting it to one star for my time being wasted lol!

My experience with evolution has been great. (Signed May 2016). The open casting is actually a workshop. This is to bring in new talent they can sign you on the spot or recommend you get more experience like their acting classes or other classes. Its not a scam. Those who say its a scam is due to the fact they dont have enough experience or a look they are looking for at that time. You dont have to take their classes you can do community theatre or other classes of your choice. (The workshop can count as an audition techniques class ).

When I went to Evolution Talent Agency I went inside they gave me a clipboard to fill out after that I had to study a line about Sears and how its appliance heaven and after that they took me into a room I had to read the lines to the man that was in the desk and. He said dont worry if you need the script read the lines and I did that and when time went around the clock this when people start Ted to get cut he said people thats about to get cut they didnt have a strong resume guess what I was the first to get cut and they loss a good money maker because I dont. Quite at all they would see me later on a tv screen watch

I dont know about acting but if you are a model do not go here! Me and my friend went to be models and when we got there they said we only do like 20% modeling they give you a script and if you are 18 or over you read about Sears appliances, Im 18 and still in high school please tell me what do I know about appliances. So they asked me about myself and stuff and they recommended me to do acting, I said yes because I didnt want to seem like a brat, but if my interest is modeling what makes you think I wanna act, the only models that act are the supermodels, so me and friend sat down and they called her FAT, because she was a inch over, so unprofessional!!!! I feel sorry for her right now because she is bulimic now just to lose weight for this irrelevant agent. After they made cuts they tries to offer a free workshop but said the class was to big, I was literally the first person to audition and they told me to comeback that Monday for my workshop, it couldnt be because I was the worse because I heard some terrible lines being spoken. I would not recommend this agent for what they did to me and my friend especially. Im just going to have to tell her to do the cotton ball diet.

Any agency that would charge you to join up is a scam. They hold open casting calls and slide in snide comments when they can. After you fork over your hard earned money for workshops that are not geared toward improving your acting ability, you are then sent to a competition. This competition is supposed to expose you to several other agencies which will help you get work. They then wait and offer you a contract. Mine was never faxed and the production company that offered me an acting job went bankrupt a few months later. I wasnt even told this took place after I was offered the job. Everyone who works for this facility should be ashamed for playing with the hopes and dreams of true artists and actors.

This agency is a scam. Any and all professional agencies do not hold open call auditions. Most will ask that you submit your headshot and resume in addition to other basic information and they will contact you back if they are interested in pursuing a contract.

Hard working and always helpful with questions. Provide timely responses.

The local acting studio Talent Inc is owned by the same owner as Evolution. When you attend an open call they refer you to this studio they charge you $1900 for training even if they know you have no shot at being an actor or model.

This agency is a scam. Do not come here for modeling because they will call you a pig, like one of the agents did to me. I am now depressed and bulimic and its their fault.

My children are both signed with this agency. Great staff, easy to work with and knowledgeable about the entertainment industry.
