Pros:Good DJGood soundGood lightsCons:Where to even begin...Pre-show: Long line and slow moving. Security is ridiculous. Worse than the TSA. They should spend less time worrying about vape pens are more time looking for weapons. Still looks like a foreclosed LABEL or something. Your brand starts outside. Invest in making this a better experience.Once inside: Clearly oversold on the floor. Truly packed on all sides. Paid $80 bucks to upgrade to VIP and had friends with table bottle service. Overpriced bottle service. This isnt LA.VIP folks pay a lot to go there and not get stepped on, spilled on, or treated poorly. Bar backs need to be MUCH more careful in this section. One toting a trashcan full of red liquid sloshed it all over my white shirt and white shoes. Terrible.VIP Restrooms were BLOCKED OFF OUT OF ORDER. Is it even VIP if you have to go fight the huge crowds every time you have to use the restroom? You are charging for services and not delivering upon them. Unacceptable.

Very nice venue that has really great artists scheduled year round. Sold out shows are tight as you would expect but still room to move and breathe. The mix of under 21 and over 21 tickets sold allows fairly easy access to the bar if you are looking to get a drink. The only issue I have with the place is their organization and system (or lack thereof) of getting people through the doors as they line up outside. Doesnt seem that there is a reason to buy a VIP ticket as our line was actually moving significantly slower than the regular ticket line. No priority was given and we actually ended up being the last ones in.

UPDATE: See Tickets confirmed they have a no refund policy and I would probably not be receiving a refund as promised by World. Terrible customer service! What a complete disaster of a show last night at Armin Van Buuren. They way oversold tickets for this event with NO AC on the hottest night of the year so far. It was unbearable to be in there. The fire department was in there due to the over capacity. Our problems were only met with attitude by the staff. When we spoke with the manager about a refund she responded “for what? Yeah it’s a little hot” and then walked off. Another employee working at the door became aggressive with me and kept asking what I wanted them to do about it. Finally an employee approached me later and asked for my email so they could issue a refund. She just typed my email into the notes app and gave me no proof I would ever see my money again, but told me I would have to leave immediately. As of now, still no refund in my account.

Always wait in a line for 45 minutes to an hour. It feels like the venue is always oversold. Have sucked it up until the Armin show. Besides being oversold, Fire marshals showing up and the AC going out they ran out of water. I had to go to multiple bar tenders before one would give me a cup of tap water(I even offered to pay for it and was told they weren’t allowed to give out free water)!! The only reason they are still in business is the headliners they bring in. They are more worried about making a profit then creating a safe environment.

Not only was it oversold but the air conditioner was not working on one of the hottest days of the year thus far. We paid $80 for VIP tickets but we pretty much paid $80 to go in a sauna. I have never been that uncomfortable or sweat that much in my life. It was extremely dangerous and unsafe to have that many people in there with no air circulating. Looking down on GA you literally could not move. My sister who was completely sober threw up from the heat.. it was that bad. I have no idea why they dont move these shows to the filmore when they know such a large crowd will be attending. I am sure none of us will get refunded but we should for that BS and for them ruining Armin for us!

I bought VIP tickets for myself and a friend to see Cosmic Gate a few months ago. It was great to bypass the regular line and get in right away through the VIP line, but when we got inside and went upstairs as directed, we realized that VIP simply meant we had our own bars and restrooms. There were tons of empty, roped-off tables, and we asked several employees how much one would be to purchase or who we should talk to, no one seemed interested enough to find out or give us an answer. The sound and lighting systems were great and we really enjoyed the show itself, but the apathetic employees really left a bad taste in our mouths. Charged false tips to my debit cardThis nightclub either has a malicious practice towards writing in false tips on customers debt/credit cards or they have a few bad employees. A water is $5 and I get that its a nightclub, yeah, it’ll be overpriced. But i never tipped with my card that night. My husband and I tipped only in cash and we wrote in the exact amount of the drinks we purchase on the receipts when we paid with a card. Let me also include that i was sober that night so there is no way I wrote in a tip and forgot about it. The night of the Flux Pavilion concert, July 20th 2018, i bought two waters at the bar in the VIP loft. Each water was $5, but on my first water, my card was charged $6 and on the second water i was charged $5.88. It is obvious to me that someone wrote in a tip and change the amount i had originally written on my receipt. Someone changed my 5 to a 6 and someone changed my 00 to 88. I understand that i am partially to blame, I left the tip line blank. I should have crossed it out or wrote in “no tip.” And yes, its only $1.88, but who knows how much money this club is making off the hundreds of people who attended. I contacted the club by email, I was unable to reach them by phone, and they said they would look into it. It has been over a week now since they contacted me back and I have heard nothing from them nor have I received any refund. So please, if you’re not going to tip with your card, make sure to cross that line out.

I went to order a drink and as I’m waiting to pay for my drink, Two bouncers came up to me told me I had to go, dragged me out of the bar by force... and I asked multiple times why I was being kicked out and was not given a reason. I have scratches and bruises all over my arms. Had I been drunk / belligerent I would understand, but I wasn’t. It was 10:30 for goodness sakes and my night had just started when I got there. I called the police and was told that since it’s a private club there’s really nothing that I can do. Given the amount of people in the bar & the amount of people waiting outside in the line I really get the impression that maybe they were at or about to be at capacity and were just kicking people. The main act hadn’t even started yet.

Today I attended Armin Van Buren. We dropped $150 for vip tickets for my lady and I. We had to wait in line longer than expected because there is no organization. Some people who did had tickets had to be up charge as vip at the door just to get in? It’s not their fault that World over sold the event. Plus the AC was not working tonight. They need to refund for that piss poor of a job they provided tonight. As I was walking out the fire marshal was outside. Hopefully they do something about it.

One word to describe the Armin show; dangerous. Ticket sales should have been stopped weeks ago as the venue does not the capacity to hold that volume of people. To add fuel to fire there was no working AC after 90 degree day. Then they “ran out” of water bottles. Here is a possible solution; GO GET MORE WATER!!!!! If someone would have passed out from heat they would have been trampled and seriously injured. I have seen Armin several times and felt safer at Ultra surrounded by thousands and thousands of people than I did there last night. Why would a club spend what it costs to book Armin and have such a disgusting atmosphere?!?!? I had never been to this club and won’t be back.

First of all there was absolutely no more room to stand and because of this we had to stand in the entry hallway and weren’t able to enjoy the concert we paid for. Second of all it was dangerously hot due to the excessive amount of people in the building. In fact the Charlotte Fire department had to come and tell world that there were too many people in the building. Well, when we went to have them scanned it said that the tickets had been scanned 3hrs before we got there and that they were general admission tickets! The staff was very helpful in assisting us. I felt a little rubbed the wrong way when I started to feel the impression we were trying to, I guess, scam our way in and I kept having to show my receipt saying I had JUST purchased the VIP ticket showing my payment of $30 NOT $15 right before I approached the club. With that being said the blonde manager and a girl with curly hair waiting the door were great at doing their best to resolve the issue. They let us in despite the error instead of turning us away. Thank you! They forgot to tell us to get VIP bands, so we went around as instructed by a polite bouncer who led us to even more polite staff who gave us our VIP bands without issue and apologized even though it wasnt necessary. The security guys were pleasant also. I always enjoy myself there. I understand the venue must have nothing to do with the tickets, but there needs to be a more efficient way in handling that type of situation (why the 4 stars). It was very hard to not begin feeling offended as time went on trying to get in. I know these ladies did their best to figure it out and I do greatly appreciate their effort trying to solve somethin that was clearly the ticketing websites issue.

Unbelievable, that’s the exact word I would use to describe what unfolded last night for the Armin show. It was so bad that telling people the stories people think you’re making it up lolWe reserved a table last night for 10 of us to attend the Armin show. We arrived at about 11 and I would say at that point the club was extremely full (at or near capacity) and very hot. We get to our table and our waitress was extremely pleasant. By the time Armin came on, about midnight, it was unbearable. They oversold the show tremendously, if they say they didn’t they are greedy liars ... No AC, our table had a vent blowing directly at it that I could reach up and touch, there was nothing coming out. People passing out, people throwing up from heat exhaustion, puke all over the dancefloor (the temp inside was easily over 100 degrees) they ran out of water, which is laughable because you can just drive somewhere and pick up more. The bathrooms had condensation from the heat on all of the mirrors. Every single person in the establishment shed as many clothes as they felt comfortable shedding.I don’t know how the employees or Armin just didn’t quit. The only reason we stayed because we all love Armin and we, as a group had a great time with ourselves. If we didn’t have a table up top with a door that we could walk out and get a breath of fresh air we would have left, mad props to the people on the dancefloor all night and also our waitress who had a smile on her face the whole time.It was impossible to truly enjoy the night as we should have had the ability to do. And it’s a shame. With absolutely no communication from management/ownership or any attempt to rectify the problems it disgusts me. No bottled water, no manager coming up to tables spending thousands of dollars across the room, not owning up to your mistakes. Not even something like “hey guys thanks for spending $1,500 and have a great time trying to dance in Satan’s nutsack.”We will never return to this dump that puts money they make over the safety, well being and enjoyment of their patrons and I hope many of the artist you try to book in the future Go to more respectable establishments.

I have been to Label many times before it closed and was reopened as World..The last few shows I saw were Markus Schulz and Cosmic Gate. Both experiences were sub par in regards to getting in 1 hr after the doors opened. In cold weather, Label also made no effort to have any kind of heat lamps outside the front door, or just let the crowd in at the time promised.I see complaints here simply about $5 water bottles.... well folks, if that’s the worst of it then that’s just fine. Most venues charge that for water bottles and if you go to the bar to say u need a cup for a friend who is basically incompetent then they won’t refuse. In my experience, requesting water for a less fortunate party goer, I haven’t been turned down.Anyway, the problems I hope to see World does NOT repeat are:Don’t over sell the show. Label did that at the end and it felt like a sweat lodge with shoulder to shoulder contact. They were really milking the guests for $ and depleting us of enjoyment and comfort of space to dance. The previous VIP set up was horrible, making the only public area the main floor and outside patio. I heard World has opened the upstairs to VIP.I hope this means the bottom level will be more GA friendly.Other than those thoughts, I’m looking forward to my first World experience. Hoping they haven’t just changed their “label” but also the experience.

People were throwing up in the middle of the dance floor from the heat and no one from the club would do anything about it. Got so bad that my wife and I tried to step out and get some air, but we couldn’t even get back inside it was so overcrowded. That’s when the fire department showed up and I witnessed them arguing with the club manager about how many people were in the building. So he had it the whole time and lied about it, but then upon returning what was mine and then waiting till I was walking awah, he tried to make it an issue of policy!!!Its my right AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN to carry nicotine products on me Im 29 years old, if its not an illegal substance then nobody has the right to take if from me and then lie about it to my face and have me searching the club for it!BEFORE THAT THE BARTENDERS TRIED TO STEAL MG GALAXY S8 PLUS after I left it on the bar and after liying about having my phone and watching me search for it the entire night they finally handed it over after the crowd was gone. I will never go back here, the staff is thieving and cant be trusted, bartender nor security and thats really sad but its very true. Im tired of having my stuff stolen and being lied to about it by the staff and Im tired of my rights being trampled on as far as vaping goes. The Charlotte underground wouldnt let me bring my vape juice in and let other ppl do it, but at least they were upfront about their policy, but when told that other ppl were vaping and had juice that I had to use bc they had mine they didnt care.

Nice venue, but having to pay to get a cup of water when it used to not be the case sucks.

Security is always sharp and alert. Management is great, they definitely know what theyre doing. & this club is the best club to go to if youre wanting the EDM feels. *That photo, my friends and I went to go see Illenium*

Ever since it changed over from label it has really taken a turn for the worse. Out of service bathrooms are a regular occurrence, security is inexperienced and over feels grimey.

Leave everything you care about in the car. Security will take your stuff and act like you will have it returned at the end of the night, only to act like they have no clue what happened to it when you return for it. Bunch of shady thieves working at the door

Horrible experience and no customer service. I was wrong to use my ecig indoors without knowing it wasnt allowed, but they took it from me and didnt give it back. Later that evening, somebody threw me really hard into a mosh pit, and I got kicked out for it....wasted $20 on a ticket and $50 on my ecig they never returned to me. I tried explaining my situation to multiple bouncers outside, but was cursed at and made to leave the property. I have called 3 times since the incident 4 days ago without any response. This is not how a night club should be allowed to operate. Will not be returning.

Lighting and music are decent. However, $5 for water bottles is ridiculous. No free cup of water. Even giant music festivals such as Ultra have free water.

I feel like this place is probably worse than label. The service was terrible, over priced drinks, and the atmosphere wasn’t the greatest since they do not do a great job at advertising events. I’d spend my money elsewhere. 5 dollars for a bottle of water?? Seriously?
