If you like the ambience of farm-to-table food with a beautiful visual appeal search no further. Landon and Candy were our waiters and they were beyond attentive( I recommend requesting them). They knew the menu well and made sure to check on us the proper amount of times if we needed anything. We ordered two flat white coffees which were a nice mellow expression roast. For food we ordered the Japanese pancakes which were fluffy biscuits style pancakes with a delectable strawberry whipped cream and edible flowers. The food not only looks stunning art- it’s delicious on the tastebuds too. My husband ordered the poached vegetarian eggs on an English muffin with pesto and greens. A great flavor composition that resembles California farm-to-table breakfast with Mediterranean seasoning. Highly recommend!

Loved it!! The place was awesome. Loved the artwork and the Vibes. The food was delish. Spinach Ravioli was amazing. I also tried the Lions Mane with pasta. I enjoyed it. I would have preferred a few more veggies mixed in. The chef Ken was cool. We had a great conversation and talked about some of the other items and he also told me he would make something that I suggested the next time I visit.

Service excellent. During Covid, observed staff maintain health guidelines. They make their own hand sanitizer with a nice fruity smell; scent will not overpower your fellow foodies in case they dont like it. Food...Wow! Who knew pancakes could be so fluffy. Sweet enough to eat without syrup, but not so sweet it tastes like dessert. Moist in the middle to perfection. Can cut with the side of your fork and still keeps enough of its shape to eat without crumbling as you lift your fork to your mouth or leave crumbs all over your plate. Fellow foodie enjoyed their meals too. Will be going back to try their gnocchi and other unique cuisine.

Food is okay but management handled a situation very poorly. I came in with the intention of buying 4 of their gift card promotion deals ($25 for $50) and clarified with the server we could use 2 gift cards that night. We ordered accordingly and at the end of dinner the server came back and said only 1 was allowed per table. Manager came out to our table, offered no solution and said it was a mistake because we had a new server... I completely understand mistakes are made but it wasnt our mistake to pay for. The manager gave us a lousy excuse that the system wouldnt allow the two gift cards to be on one table and she was unable to remove it. I had no idea computers had so much authority over management-wow!Salt could have added so depth to the food. I got the mushroom trip which was good/creative. The lions mane fettuccini (vegan style) was a very strange dish that came with snow peas and red bell peppers. Those vegetables made no sense in that dish and felt confusing...Anyway, Im not going back due to the service. Cool space and I was very excited to advertise to all my friends about it BUT customer service is super important to the success of any establishment.

Such a fun spot! The staff there could not be nicer, the first time I went in to buy a gift card Kevin and Sarah showed me around the restaurant and were incredibly personable. I couldn’t wait to return. The food is unique and delicious, I did not leave feeling hungry as I have at some of the other vegetarian-focused restaurants around town. Highly recommend the Mushroom Trip and the Tea Bird cocktail.Decor is also A+, patio is massive, and I love that it is part of an art gallery. Completely different than the usual edison bulb, exposed brick template you see everywhere else in South End. Definitely worth checking out, can’t wait to go back!

I ate lunch on the patio there on Saturday and it was a top class experience. The service was immaculate and the food was outstanding. As a newcomer to vegetarian cuisine I found the menu at alchemy delicious and had plenty of choices. If youre not vegetarian they can add a protein to any dish but if you are vegetarian then you will have plenty of delicious choices. The foyer of the restaurant is an art gallery which is really cool and gives you alot of beautiful art to view while you wait for your table which is a great concept. I would give Alchemy a 10/10 all the way around.

My experience of dining at Alchemy was terrific! I ordered the Seitan over Polenta. Chef Anna did an outstanding job creating seitan so tender and flavorful! You will not find delicious seitan anywhere else!My five year old ordered the Fried Lion Mane Fettuccine, she loved it and a meal to remember! The vegan cauliflower alfredo was so good we both were craving it a week after dining there! We ended our experience with the smores dessert! You toast a giant marshmallow over a small flame at your table, fun for kids and adults! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Came here a week ago (birthday brunch). having recently moved here from NYC (I mean NYC, not upstate or other areas ), I was somewhat skeptical about the Charlotte brunch scene. this spot is Top Notch.our server Landon & staff were very attentive without being overbearing. I even got birthday well wishes. I’m pescatarian, but that day had the portobello hash. Sarah had the prosciutto Benedict (I was tempted but when I asked Landon if the prosciutto was “real pork” not vegetarian style, he admitted it was in fact pork).the food tasted fresh (tho I added a pinch of salt to my dish), the presentation exquisite. our “adult beverages” were NOT watered down, they were strong. I ordered the purple miracle can’t remember what Sarah had but she too thoroughly enjoyed it.the only bummer was that they had no desserts (so no birthday sweets for us).extras: we were offered the yummiest smelling hand sanitizer (they didn’t have it on sale yet but we were told soon it would be retailing), outdoor seating with table generously spaced out, all wait staff & hostess staff were masked.I had looked up the restaurant and found that the Chef, Ken Aponte is Puerto Rican (wonder if we’re related..my mom is Aponte on her father’s side).the treat for me was as we walked out, I looked towards the open kitchen area and caught a glimpse of Mr. Aponte and I waved. He smiled and waved back. oh yea, they also have an art gallery. will definitely be back. mil gracias, Chef Aponte & staff at Alchemy 3c.

Love the decor and our food was VERY good (it’s vegetarian focused but I had an amazing short rib and my boyfriend had steak). They have a gluten free menu and are very respectful of different food allergies. The cocktails we had were amazing and our waitress, Ty, was the best. Overall a great experience and we loved the concept of the art gallery as you walk in. Only thing I’d change is dimming the lighting a bit in the main dining. Great date night spot! Would def come back.

I have been looking for an upscale vegan restaurant in the Charlotte area and this place is a wonderful alternative. The whole complex is a combination of shared working space, art gallery and restaurant. The restaurant offers an evolving menu with meat and vegetarian/vegan versions. The flavors are very good and the plates look beautiful. The service is excellent, the staff is constantly interacting and they make you feel very comfortable.

Ive dined at a plethora of fine dining restaurants in the area and this place, even being brand new, is in the upper echelon of the group in terms of taste and food quality. May they continue to offer risotto for infinity and beyond unlike many restaurants that remove it in order to simplify back of house operations. The chef came out of the kitchen to speak to us which was a nice touch. You can tell hes passionate about his craft and it shows in his food.

Alchemy was absolutely amazing!!! The food, service, and ambiance at Alchemy was excellent. Between my wife and I we tried 4 different momosas and they were all delicious. My favorite was the creamsicle mimosa and my wifes the blueberry smash. As for the food we had the Heirloom Tomato Benedict and the Japanese Pancakes. Both were absolutely delicious and highly recommended. We will definitely be going back soon!

Drinks were incredible. Get the Ron Swanson if you’re a bourbon fan and the tea bird if you’re a gin fan. Food was awesome. Plates (small and large) are pretty small so be prepared to order two entrees and one or two appetizers for a couple. Service was awesome. Our waiter, Jovanna, was awesome and had some really great recommendations. I also like that they asked about allergies at the door to accommodate all guests. The menu is mainly vegetarian based, but there are plenty of meat options as well.

Fell in love with this place. Enjoyed their food on Sunday night. I love the small plates concept because it allows me to taste even more dishes without getting so full.I enjoyed the Grape Scott cocktail and really couldve had a number of other ones.Enjoyed 5 small plates: the Tostones, Tomato Gnocchi, spinach ravioli, Pear Salad, and the Mushroom Trip. Each one was so unique and tasty. My favorite dish was the Pear salad. It was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy and crunchy. Then I got to enjoy 3 desserts: the Sorbet champagne, Lemon curd Pannacotta, and Grand Marnier Souffle. The bartenders were super friendly and knowledgable. They really helped me figure out what to get. The chef Ken was also a pleasure to speak with. Its so impressive to see someones dream come to life. You cannot NOT go here!!! Hurry! Youll thank me later. :)

The experience at Alchemy is truly special. The service was exceptional, the drinks were absolutely delicious, & the atmosphere was elevated. I can’t bring myself to give it 5 stars due to our experience with the food. Firstly, I want to point out that it was extremely hot in the restaurant temperature wise (so this might’ve added to our discomfort) as a few people at different tables had to fan themselves with their menus. In addition, our main course took a very long time to arrive, I’m not sure of the exact time but I do know it was a little over 30mns after ordering. Myself and one other person at the table ordered the lions mane fettuccine, he ended up receiving the wrong order and getting chicken but due to our wait he didn’t say anything. The fettuccine unfortunately fell flat in terms of flavor and tasted very bland. My fiancé ordered the short rib and it was delicious, but the risotto underneath was very lackluster (luckily there was an additional sauce on the plate that helped with that). I will say the dessert (pictured) was very good! For the price of the food, they definitely have some room for improvement.

Had a reservation for 11:15. Ordered cocktails that took at least 10 mins to get to the table. Ordered another round of cocktails as well as our food. I would say it was 12:15 at the latest when we ordered our food. 1250, still no food and our waitress made sure to let us know, “it wasn’t her fault.” Found the manager and expressed our frustrations and she assured me our food was then being prepared and orders were being made as they came in. This couldn’t be true considering we had ordered our food at least 45 mins prior and the place WAS NOT busy at that time. At 1:15 we finally gave up and left, still NEVER seeing our food. We were excited to try this place and it was a TOTAL LET DOWN.

The service left much to be desired. We made a reservation for 11:30 and were 30 mins late. The hostess let us know reservations are canceled if the guests show up more than 15 mins late, which we totally understood and offered to wait until a table became available. However, the hostess did not offer any further information on what the wait time currently was. After waiting for 25 mins, we figured we would just make another reservation for 12:30 since anyone without a reservation was being turned away (even though there were several reservations available online for 12:30, 12:45 and 1:00) and those with reservations were nearly immediately seated. Once we checked in a second time, the hostess told us they were still behind, but she would be with us soon. After waiting another 15 minutes, we decided to call it and leave. We had to flag down the hostess yet again to let her know we would like to cancel our reservation. We never even made it into the restaurant, but based on this experience alone, we will not be back and we will be sure to let others know what they’re in for if they choose to dine here. Please consider hiring more help as the hostess appeared very scattered and overwhelmed.

I loved the art gallery here! When I walked in the ladies were very nice and friendly. The restaurant however, is not as impressive. It’s very clean, but the wait staff is disorganized. I had to flag down someone to take my drink and food order and they both took a very long time to come, and it was not busy in there. I ordered a sweet tea and after it not coming for over 15 mins, I asked another waitress and she explained it was an unhealthy drink and they didn’t have it. In the middle of her explaining that, someone else brought a drink over which looked like a cocktail and I asked if it was an alcoholic beverage and she said yes and I told her I didn’t order it and I don’t drink alcohol. Then I told her I would try one of the sparkling water options. Then another waitress came back with that same drink and said it was sweet tea. I felt uncomfortable at that point because I do not drink alcohol and didn’t know what the drink was. She kept reassuring me it was tea but it didn’t look or taste anything like tea. The sparkling water also never came to the table. The appetizer I got was the avocado hummus and it was extremely salty and the chips served with it were in big pieces and so hard you could barely break them so unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy it even though we were starving by the time it came to the table. The burgers and sandwiches were ok, but the french fries had a strong vinegar flavor to them and we were told they don’t have ketchup as an option just a garlic sauce to dip... All in all I’d come here again to see new art, but probably not to eat
