Me and my mom came in for my birthday to get tattoos. The place was very clean and I enjoyed my time. Tara was my tattoo artist and she was the best! We had a great conversation and she was so light handed. The tattoo didn’t even hurt. I am very pleased and will be returning! Highly recommend.

Matt did some beautiful work for me. I gave him some ideas about what I wanted, we talked through some potential ideas, and he presented something better than I had in mind. He has a great eye when working with color as well as shading work. My artwork took a good 6 hours and he knew I was feeling the pain but was so patient even using numbing spray when he must have known I was over it. A year later, all healed up, and more lovely than ever! Highly recommended!

In March of this year, I began corresponding with Kelly Corujo about getting my very first tattoo. I had been thinking about this tattoo idea for quite a few years, and after a brief consultation with the owner of Paris Tattoos, it was determined that Kelly, who specializes in color, would be the perfect artist to make my idea a reality. Kelly worked with me for a few weeks, swapping some images and discussing design possibilities. On the big day (April 8), Kelly unveiled the final design to me, and it looked beautiful. She was very detail-oriented, and took the time to listen carefully to my list of wants and needs, but given that she is an artist and a tattoo professional, she also gave her honest opinion about the BEST way to bring my ideas to fruition to ensure I was happy with the final design AND ended up with an amazing tattoo. And that is exactly what happened! Throughout the four hour process, she was incredibly focused, yet relaxed and confident. She would tell me what to expect through each phase, and ensured I was comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Not only did I have an incredibly smooth experience during the tattooing, but she also took the time to explain exactly how to ensure my recovery was smooth and problem free (which it was!). I cannot tell you how many compliments complete strangers have been compelled to give me on the design and the beautiful, vivid colors of the tattoo. I couldnt be happier with the result!

Matt did my sleeve as a cover up and its the most tattoo Ive seen, wherever I go people always comment about the detail and how lifelike the wolves and owl are. A little over a year ago I visited this shop with a friend on a whim and got the best experience ever. Walked in with no call, and Matt Trimble was able to draw up tattoos for me and my friend, and complete them both in a very reasonable amount of time. Prices were awesome for the quality of work we got, and I can say with confidence that the death moth tattoo I received from Matt is hands down my favorite one. This has to be the cleanest tattoo studio Ive ever been in! I got some work done here on September 5th and my artists name was Johny Pistol. This is guy is truly gifted, very respectable, great conversation and attentive. He gave me advice on my half sleeve and asked what I wanted to accomplish with my tattoos and he not gave me exactly what I wanted but more than what I couldve expect! After years of trying to find someone to cover up a mistake of a tattoo, I found Matt who was more then willing to tackle the cover up when I had been turned away by so many. I worked with Matt Trimble on my second tattoo. It was a complex, full color collage of my three main protagonists on my novels. Not only did Matt do a good job quickly, he knocked the artwork out of the park and blended them together perfectly.Ill be getting two more male protagonists added to my right arm once the books are out, and the upcoming female protagonists will be going on my left. My fiancé and I have both had the pleasure to get tattooed by Matt Trimble. Not only is he a complete professional customer service wise he’s phenomenal with a needle. I haven’t even had the pleasure to get a fresh tattoo from the guy, he’s spent multiple hours fixing and correcting a massive lion tribal piece on my back that now looks 10x better, he’s also fixed a heath ledger joker portrait on my shoulder and now he’s turned that into a great Christopher Nolan series sleeve.

This shop is clean, professional, and reasonably priced considering the caliber of work it turns out. Amazing staff, relaxed atmosphere and great location. I have been getting tattooed by Matt Trimble for over 8 years and would never trust another artist as completely as I do with him. I have more than a dozen tattoos by him and each one is better than the last. He is always open and communicative during the design process and is willing to do even the tiniest design tweaks to ensure the piece hes giving me is the exact piece Im looking for - but is also very well versed in color theory, composition, and has an understanding of how the tattoo will perform over time and throughout the healing process so he offered his professional artists opinion when necessary, but has never pressured me into going in his direction. I unfortunately live on the other side of the country now but when I fly back to Charlotte I am always certain to book an appointment with Matt because I know Im going to get a perfect tattoo as a fantastic price. I have been to Paris Tattoo three times with a fourth scheduled. Each time I have seen tattoo artist Robert. I believe Robert is the most creative, talented an expert artist, besides Paris of course, in the Southeast, if not the country. His vision, for the tattoo you are asking for, is right on and he makes sure you are completely satisfied with his drawing and placement on your body before he starts. Robert takes his time when tattooing, for he has extreme pride in his work and wants to make sure you are comfortable. If you are looking for a tattoo artist, I highly recommend Robert. If I could give him a higher rating than five I would, for he deserves it.

I’ve been tattooed by Matt, he’s a very dope artist. He did a cool spin off of MMOTM2 album cover by Kid cudi on my bicep. This was earlier this year and til this day I love it and get compliments all the time about how real it looks. I’ve gotten four tattoos over the last five years at Paris Tattoos. I am currently in the process of getting a Japanese finger wave right arm sleeve. The owner, Paris Pierides, created this sleeve without a reference, purely freehand. Watching Paris work and bring something so intricate and detailed to life without any reference to go on is unbelievable. If you’re looking for a truly personalized, no cookie-cutter tattoo experience, look no further.The studio is extremely well kept, and the atmosphere is welcoming. All receptionists and tattooists are professional, knowledgeable, TALENTED, and friendly. This place is amazing! Matt was very professional and fun to work with. The building itself is very welcoming and extremely clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I was very comfortable and more than happy with my tattoo!!! The coloring and everything was perfect.

My husband and I have both gotten our tattoos done by Robert. I cannot say enough good things about him! The amount of detail he puts into his work is amazing. This place is nice but a little on the pricey side. The piercing we got for my daughter was over $40 and wasnt the correct length. So we made a total of 3 trips. No, Im not mistaken. Paris Tattoo on South Blvd is the CORRECT place. In fact it was you, the owner who did the piercing. You have an accent when you speak and you sit at the table at the front door.

The shop is incredibly clean, and the staff is amazing. I have done several sessions with Paris, but I know the other artists/employees by name and they love to chat with any customer. They are proud of their work and put a lot of time/effort into getting the customer what they want. Paris works fast but is very patient with me as my sleeve takes several sessions to complete. He takes great care in making sure I have the best possible experience by making sure I take care of my tattoo in the healing process. Definitely the first place for you to check out in Charlotte!

I am very disappointed about my new tattoo that Matt did. I have waited a very long time for this tattoo and was super excited. My appointment was at 3pm but didnt get started until after 4 because Matt was late due to car issues. I feel that because it was a late start and they close at 7pm that it was a thrown together rush job even though it took almost 4 hours. I gave him the pictures months ago and he didnt do anything up until the day of ON A TABLET cut and paste. I was under the impression that it would be actually drawn up more that the stencil outlines right before he started. I should have taken the loss on the deposit and left. It looks nothing like what I asked. I had a specific mountain that I wanted and its shape and colors are nothing like what I wanted. The trees dont look real, the rhododendrons look like individual flowers instead of bushes, the trail has spots with no color and every flower and leaf is pink when I asked for vibrant fall colors. When I sent a message to Matt about coming in for touch ups after it heals his response was Wow its awful soon to be complaining. Thats negative and misguided Im sorry but for a $650 piece I expected better and definitely shodnt have to go find another artist to fix it. Its unfortunate that I cant post pics on here.

Ive just completed the fourth session on a 3/4 Japanese sleeve with Paris. Number one, the work is beyond expectation. I get numerous compliments daily from all sorts of people, be it at the office or just in public.Number two, the studio is awesome, both in terms of atmosphere and decor. While being a permanent makeup artist, she doubles as the nicest, most caring and helpful shop manager Ive ever witness at a tattoo studio!Lastly, Paris is an absolute pleasure to spend hours with...which is VERY important when theres a large piece involved. Lots of great stories from his time spent all over the world, and an extraordinary appreciation of cultures from around the globe...including the ones in this great country!I would (and DO) recommend anyone serious about getting solid, quality, professional tattoo work done, to check out the work at Paris Tattoos. Go by the studio, book an appointment, and be glad youre about to love your life!

Paris and his studio are Amazing. We began by discussing my idea for a full sleeve. He gave great advice, and honest opinions of my reference material. He takes great pride in his work, and wants every piece to be at their greatest potential. After only an hour of ink, I could already see how truly talented Paris is. He brought my image, which I loved, to an entirely different level...It was perfect. After the first session, the art that Paris did was beyond Beautiful. My fiancee and I were amazed to watch Paris work, seeing the time and consideration for detail. The following days, Paris contacted me several times to see how I was doing, and to make sure everything was going well. He truly cares about his art, and even more about his Clients. He recognized my fiancee immediately, and she was tattooed by a different artist in his studio almost two years earlier, thats the amount of pride and consideration Paris has for his clients. I have gotten a compliment every day on Paris art from random people at restaurants, shopping, working, etc since the first session. My fiancee and I are excited for our next tattoos, and take great Pride in the art that Paris and his Studio has already provided us. I highly recommend Paris and his studio for anyone who wants more than just a tattoo, because you get a work of art and a new set of friends.

Last week I had the privilege to be a client of Kellys at Paris Tattoos, and I could not be more thrilled. The studio is very clean and open, everyone I spoke with was very friendly, and my tattoos were more than reasonably priced. Im extremely happy with Kellys work, and she was an absolute dream to work with creatively. I came in with a semi-fluid idea and Kelly was very patient and helpful. She was so willing to work with me to get my vision turned into something that looks better than I imagined. 10 out of 10 would recommend, and Id definitely choose to return for future tattoos.

I cant say enough good things about this place. Came here on very short notice for my first tattoo, my artist was Matt and he walked me through the entire process, and made sure the sketch was exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be back for my next one

I came here after doing lots of research on Tattoo artists in North Carolina. I drove 1.5 hours to come here and it was worth it. The shop is clean and decorated nicely. Definitely not a dive shop. Being that it was my first tattoo, I wanted to make sure I was going to the best place around. My tattoo artist was Robert. I cant say enough about this guy. An overall very pleasant person with a great demeanor about him. He took my idea and made it better with his awesome skills as an artist. He was careful and made sure I knew exactly what I wanted before starting. While doing the tattoo he was meticulous with the detail and it turned out absolutely wonderful. After he was finished he described how to care for the tattoo over the course of the next couple weeks. I would suggest to anyone that wants an immaculate tattoo to head to Paris Tattoos, and to ask for Robert. You will not be disappointed.

Being new to Charlotte and ready to get my sleeve, i researched several shops in the Charlotte Area.. Paris has amazing work in his Portfolio so i decided to give him a chance... upon arrival i was welcomed into a clean and well lit shop, by friendly staff.. Paris spent 2.5 hours drawing on my sleeve before he started Tattooing (free of charge). he was friendly courteous and professional.. I have received countless complements on the work that is finished and am looking forward to the attention when it is finished... 3 sessions and My personal experience with Paris has been phenomenal!!! Highly recommended Talented Tattoo artist!!!

Everyone in the shop was really cool. Halfway through getting tattooed by Johny (mans legit) the other artist came back to just talk. I would recommend Johny to everyone

I finally got a chance to write this review but my tattoo experience at Paris Tattoos was the absolute worst.I looked at Robert McCollums profile and his work looked pretty good. So I booked an appointment and drove nearly two hours.When I arrived, I had to wait around 1 1/2 hours for him to draw the sketch. The sketch wasnt bad and I wasnt too picky about it since it is just a sketch-- doesnt have to be perfect. This was my first tattoo so I was excited. I chose to get a Princess Zelda tattoo since Zelda is a huge part of my childhood.Ever since getting the tattoo, I have had people make comments about how Zeldas hand is screwed up. My sister even said the hand looks like a crab claw, and it really does. Some people have said I should have been refunded. The hand in the sketch does not look like the finished outcome. There is a tiny arm is coming out from behind Zeldas HIP and the hand is claw-like. It looks very out of place and awkward and her proportions are not anatomically correct at all. She is also kind of floating in space with no sort of background shading or anything.The price for this piece was insane for the lack of detail that was put into it. I ended up paying somewhere around $1,000 total and it took two sessions-- one for the outline alone and the other for the shading. Everyone Ive shown this tattoo, including other tattoo artists, have said there is no reason why this tattoo should have taken so long, and that it is likely he took his time since he charges by the hour, to get more profit...Anyway, I really just want to get it covered up entirely but Im not sure how easy that would be. I have also thought of getting a different artist to re-shade everything and add more details, then somehow cover up the hand entirely...Again, not sure how easy that would be either. :/I hate how much the piece costed because now Im going to have to shell out what I already paid for it to get it fixed eventually. When contacting Robert about this issue, this was his response: Well when you sent the last message I figured I’d have you come in so I could hear you out although I found it hard to believe that I could butcher a hand the way you are describing. I take great pride in my work and am a huge stickler for anatomy. I wouldn’t have let you out of the chair unless I was confident that you had a nice quality tattoo. And now with these clearer images I can see the hand still looks good to me. I do understand what you don’t like about it, but for a stylized character with for the most part simple shading I think it all works. If anything I can add more shading so the shape and anatomy of the hand shows a little more. But covering up the hand is not something I am willing to do as it would destroy the piece. Touch ups are usually reserved for mistakes in the application, like if a line didn’t hold up. But I have to admit this is quite unusual to want to change a design that was agreed upon before hand. I’m sorry you are displeased, but anything more then a subtle change would be a mistake and result in something you like even less than now possibly.Stickler for anatomy: Peoples hands do not look like the one in my tattoo...Add more shading so the shape and anatomy of the hand shows a little more...Why would I want that when the hand is what I dislike the most about the tattoo?I have to admit this is unusual to want to change a design that was agreed upon before hand. The hand did not look like the sketch once it was finished. It looked worse than the sketch. I thought the ending result would look BETTER than the sketch, however, it ended up not even looking the same as the sketch.I just wanted to post this review so maybe someone will see this and wont have to go through the same thing I did. It sucks getting a tattoo you are not happy with. Tattoos are (obviously) permanent, expensive, and if you are going to pay lots of money for them, please go to someone more experienced. Otherwise, you will be in the situation I am currently in and will end up paying more to get it covered up.

It was the best shop I have ever been in. Everyone was friendly. I have had a few tattoos done at different places but hands down Paris is the best. Ricardo is working on a Celtic sleeve for me. I gave him the idea. To see him bring it to life is incredible. He is an amazing artist and is beyond skilled with a tattoo gun.

First tattoo and an amazing experience. Robert McCollum is a true talent and was able to skillfully render my design in the exact location I desired.

My experiences here have been top notch. The staff are wonderful, friendly and very talented. The shop is incredibly clean. I am looking forward to continuing to get my tattoos done here! Highly recommended!! =D
