Lot to say, so pay attention. For those who have never been there, The Current Art Space is a little tricky to fine. Heading West on Franklin st., make a left turn between the Target store and the B Good restaurant on the corner. Proceed straight ahead, and the little side street leads you to what appears to be a left turn. Follow the little left turn; then stop. literally stop, and look up. You will see a large neon sign on the side of a building which says 123 W. Franklin St. That is the Current Art Space. You will have to negotiate the parking on your own. There are options. The reason Im in this facility is because I belong to a community based non-profit, called CEF(community empowerment fund) and we have created a cast and crew of about 35 members and advocates to present to you a musical calledAffordable Housing(The Musical). I am not a trained and seasoned professional by any stretch of the imagination, but this place, The Current Art Space, is an amazing place. The versatility of this facility just boggles my mind. The professional manner in which the resident crew manicured the Art Space to meet our every need, was jaw dropping. Today was our load-in day, where we brought in all of our props. And the house crew patiently established a light and sound routine for every prop and set. For our function, the house capacity is 177 per night, for two nights. Our cast and crew have been working on this project since August of last year. With the help of the Current Art Space crew, there is nothing but confidence in the success of our project.

This is an amazing space in a great location. Really well designed. Always something new and interesting to see.

Great new venue for theator, note there is parking under the building. So dont waste time looking for street parking.
