Its a nice and quiet park with a covered table for eating. It has a nice 2.5mi hiking loop, with a single overlook of the old mill that was on cub run. If youre hiking this in the spring or summer, just know its home to a lot of lonestar ticks. So wear the proper bug spray and treatments. Mountain biking friendly too. One side is pretty muddy most of the time, so be forewarned.
Ticks!! We didnt see any on the paved trail, but if you try out the lovely full trail in the summer, make sure to wear big spray! I removed about 40 ticks from my legs today and my husband had a similar haul. We did a grassy segment of the AT last week in simar weather and only picked up three. Otherwise its a nice little shady respite and the facilities seem decent. We spotted a pretty cute box turtle and some deer. Note you should keep driving past the golf club to get to the playground and trail.
Very scenic and peaceful.nice escape and great people.
Its a nice place for children to play. Can enjoy with family...
Hidden but nice little park with its own parking lot. Park has a playground (climbing structure, slides, swings, tire swing), a covered picnic area with a grill and trash can, an open field, and paved walking trail. Two geocaches here. Would be nice if it had a bathroom or port-a-potty.
Even when its wet my daughter still has a wonderful time. There is plenty of places for her to roam and explore.
Its ok got a little place for kids and a picnic shelter with a grill not too much wild life
Absolutely beautiful!
Nice park
Nothing special.
