This was the first meeting/lesson my son had with Dr. Minkstimas and it went very well. The facility had hand cleaner/disinfectant available and Dr. Minkstimas wore a mask during my son’s lesson (we also wore masks). The rooms are private (as in most music schools) which really limits any unnecessary interaction with other people (can’t wait for COVID to go away). My son felt Dr. Minkstimas was very friendly and helpful. His instructions and corrections were presented in a way that has my son looking forward to his next lesson. And has him practicing & really trying to make the suggested changes in technique. It was nice to find an activity that is safe, instructional, and gets my son out of the house for a break from lockdowns.

I have been taking piano lessons from the director of the European Academy of Arts, Dr. Minkstimas privately for over a year and consider myself lucky to have found him. I would be hard pressed to find another teach nearly as good as him in general let alone in the DC area. He is a fantastic teacher and I have made huge strides in my own musical capabilities in a very short amount of time. If you are serious about learning any kind of music, not just piano, The European Academy of Arts is a place that will definitely provide the environment and the faculty that will push your limits and help you grow musically to where you want to be.

Dr. Minkstimas has been teaching our daughter for six years. We feel lucky to have found him! He is truly committed to teaching and profoundly sensitive to cultivating the artist in each person. It has been a wonderful journey so far. Northern Virginia now shines a little more brightly.

This is a great school. It is THE place to go for music. The teachers are experienced&professionals&devoted. The name of Edvinas Minsktimas is enough to know that you can TRUST the school. What a great musician! My 6 YO daughter made a lot of progress in such a short time. She is learning the musical notation and how to play piano. But the most important she is learning the deep sense of music, the love of music. Since she has started the classes, music has another place in her life.

The European Academy of Arts is an exceptional new school of music.  The director and founder of the school, Dr. Edvinas Minkstimas, is an outstanding pianist and educator.  He inspires his students to excellence and works hard to create a very positive, nurturing environment for young musicians.  My son always leaves his piano lessons feeling positive and energized.  Dr. Minkstimas has created a school with beautiful, professional facilities and fantastic teachers.  I highly recommend this school.

I have no doubt that the European Academy of Arts will establish itself as a resounding success owing to the tireless efforts of its founders and the professional caliber of its teachers. Dr. Edvinas Minkstimas has taught both my daughters for several years, and they are progressing through the ABRMS piano exam system. The commitment to and enjoyment of teaching are top notch.

Our son was able to study piano with some exceptional instructors over the course of eight years and had become quite talented; however, his interest in playing had begun to wane significantly until he was introduced a couple of years ago to Dr Edvinas Minkstimas. Dr Minkstimas is not only a truly exceptional and inspiring pianist and instructor, but he also cares deeply about making sure that our son enjoys what he is studying and playing, which is something both we and he have appreciated immensely. Studying with Dr. Minkstimas has truly been a blessing. We highly recommend him and the new academy.

My son (age 12) has been learning the piano under Dr. Minkstimas for 1.5 years. He had two other previous instructors at a well known & respected music school in the DMV. Though my son enjoyed it, they just were not able to pull out his true talent & confidence like Dr. Minkstimas does with ease. He has the ability to connect with the student & get results without pressure. My son has improved immeasurably since he has been with the European Academy of Arts! I am truly grateful to find this gem ! If you are looking for a music school for any level/age, you are in great hands at the European Academy of Arts.
