I could not get my newly purchased home defence shotgun to fire reliably. At the range. I could not get much help from the manufacturer or the shop where I bought it beyond the suggestion to ship it back to Maryland for warranty repair. I found Bart Miller at Legacy Gunsmithing where they were friendly patient knowledgeable and got right to it by offering to test fire it. 5 minutes after I arrived they had the problem verified analyzed and explained to me. All this without an appointment! But IT GETS BETTER. I thanked them for their prompt attention and asked how much I owed them and they said: Nothing. Please keep us in mind if you need any assistance in the future. So in closing. You should keep them in mind if you need any assistance with your firearm or if you are looking for advice about purchasing or handling a new firearm. Theres no one better in the Denver metro area.

I brought in an old Remington model 514 .22 bolt action rifle. The stock was severely water damaged and the barrel was pitted and rusty. When I got the rifle back it looked brand new! Michael Mitchell was the gunsmith that restored my rifle! Amazing just amazing the rifle looks brand new. My father gave me this gun in 1969! Imagine my shame to let the weapon get in such poor condition and imagine my joy when Legacy Gunsmith returned it to its original beauty. The people at Legacy Gunsmith are just the nicest you could imagine and they do absolutely perfect work. If you need a gun repaired or restored please take it to Legacy Gunsmith and let them work their magic for you like they did for me!!

I brought my DD5 in to get a muzzle device mounted. They got it done quickly. I then, shamefully had a diva moment over how the washer(that came with the muzzle brake) used to time the device wrecked the aesthetic and function of my rifle. The next day, I went back and talked to the gunsmith. Not only did they take the time to listen. They understood my concern; even though it turned out to be wrong and petty. They explained the situation in both technical and simplified terms respectfully and patiently. They fully restored my confidence in the reliability and function of my rifle. And to top it all off, they quickly found a solution to the aesthetic issue as well. Not only would I recommend Legacy Gunsmiths services, I would recommend anyone providing services to the public to use Legacy Gunsmith as the surface plate to measure by.

I have to thank them for a tremendous job on my old beretta shotgun. He took the time to stop what he was doing and complete my work when I walked in and asked for help! I cannot reccomend these guys enough! Definitely passing this along to my friends and fellow hunters.

This review is strictly regarding the team at legacy gunsmith inside the gun club. I recently came into possession of about 7 different guns. I first took them to Cabelas to try to sell them and was treated like some idiot. I can only assume because I didnt look like a typical gun guy they wouldnt give me the time of day or any fair offers. (jokes on you as Im a military veteran with more gun experience than they seemed to have) what a refreshing change of pace coming into see the team here. They were all super friendly and let us drop off the guns and go about our day. When we came back, they gave us the market price on all our guns, even the ones they couldnt buy. For the ones they could purchase, they made a fair price (70% of market value) and cut us a check! Even gave us an offer for a gun they they didnt originally want but did it because we sold them the ones they did! Best of all, the customer service here represents a true American way. We love our country, our guns, and our family... They treat their customers like family. For that reason, we will only do business here moving forward.

I had some gunsmith work done by Bart. My issue was a nasty chip in my rifle stock that was somewhat large and in a very bad location that significantly reduced the value and eye appeal of my rifle. Bart was able to expertly repair the chip and did a masterful job of blending the new wood with the 50 year old finish. I was impressed by the craftsmanship and the price. Its very hard to find skilled gunsmith labor for a reasonable price in the metro area but I found my new goto guy for all my future gunsmithing needs.

Bart and team have always done great work for me. They are highly competent and professional, and I can’t say enough good things about their customer service. Their wait times and pricing will reflect the quality of work provided as they have a lot of work requests, but it’s worth it. Having work done on any of your firearms is not the time to try and cut monetary corners by going to a kitchen table gunsmith.I would recommend to anyone.

Simply put, the best gunsmith Ive ever used. Bart got a rusted old lever action 22 shooting well after 40 years in a basement and also tuned a carry gun. Incredible work and very friendly staff which is rare in the firearms industry.

I brought in a revolver that had jammed due to a portion of a copper jacket stuck between the forcing cone and cylinder, Bart took care of it in less than five minutes and didn’t charge me anything. He also took the time to explain how that can happen and gave me some good information on ammo selection. He also checked out the gun to make sure there was nothing else wrong. The people I dealt with at Legacy were very friendly and helpful, I recommend this shop and will be back again.

I recently bought a new handgun at Centennial Gun Club where Legacy Gunsmith is located. The gun had night sites. When I went to the range with it the first time, I noticed that the front site didnt glow. I took it back to the CGC to see what they could do. With all firearms sales being final, I wasnt very optimistic. They said to contact the manufacturer and tell them what happened. They also said to tell the manufacturer that they had Legacy gunsmith look at it and that Legacy offered to install the site free of charge if they would just send the front site to me.When I called the manufacturer and told them that the store had a gun smith who reviewed the issue and offered to install the site, they shipped me a new site with no further questions asked. I brought the gun and the site back to Legacy and within 15 minutes, they had me back in action with the new site. The service was great. The sites are dead on and Legacy saved me $70 in shipping the gun back to the manufacturer and having to be without my new gun for a few weeks.I highly recommend Legacy Gunsmith.

Recently had my Kimber Montana rebedded after a previous gunsmith bedded the action crooked in the stock. Legacy finished the job early and went above and beyond to not only bed the action properly but also fill the barrel channel so everything looked straight and then refloat the barrel. I couldnt be happier with the quality of work, customer service, timeline, and price. I will be taking all my firearms there moving forward. FYI Im a perfectionist that is good at nitpicking everything.
