This was such a fun experience for my husband and I for our anniversary outing! The time was perfect - an hour and the person helped us out with the clues whenever we needed them. I just loved it! I would say that this activity would be better if there are atleast 3 players or more but still plenty of fun and challenging!Glad cedar rapids is beginning to have fun options like this for date night activites

First time doing an escape room, surprised my husband for a late Valentine’s Day gift. Didn’t know what to expect. But the room we did (The Misfortune Teller) was so intricate and well thought out. We had so much fun, and the owners are really awesome dudes. It’s such a great place to go. I will recommend it to anyone and everyone who asks for gift ideas. Thanks for all you do!

Awesome place. The staff was cool and helpful. Went with my work Christmas party and had an awesome time. The rooms and clues were well set up and your in contact with staff via radio. Definitely go again.

We booked four rooms for a company outing. We had 8 people in each of the four rooms, and everyone had a great time. Highly recommend. Great team building exercise. The staff is great to work with and have done an excellent job creating a memorable experience.

The people that work at the escape room are so nice and the escape room was awesome! Did it with my best friend for her birthday (it was us 2 and 1 other person in the room doing it) and we definitely had to use some clues. Highly recommend!

We had a group of 12 do the underground casino game and what a great time! The staff was very attentive, friendly, and great story tellers. They were laid back and willing to joke around. The game itself was a blast. Very well engineered and creative. Everyone had a really good time and talked about it throughout the night. This was the only escape room that has a room for parties bigger than 8, and we didnt ever feel cramped. Will be going back to try the other couple smaller rooms in the near future. If youre looking for something different to do, look no further.

A very cool experience. You get to solve a mystery by finding clues in a room. There are suprises. Clues my not always be where you think they should be. It will keep you engaged and make you think and reason. And it is fun.

Had SUCH a great time. Staff was so great as well. We had 3 people for the misfortune room and it was challenging but not impossible. Hints were helpful :) thanks for the great time!

That was awesome. My son wanted to go so we brought him and I probably had as much if not more fun then he did. The staff was awesome!

The puzzles were well thought out! The room decorations couldve been better. Loved the game love the idea and love the story. The two complaints that I have is you did not know how much time you had left the only way you knew is when the game master talked over the walkie talkie in increments of 15 minutes. Also if you wanted a hint the guy had to come into the room to give you a hint I didnt feel like that was the best way to accomplish the hints successfully. A good place for newer people to go that are interested in escape rooms, but definitely not tech savvy.

My friends and I truly enjoyed our experience! I have been to a couple other escape adventures, but Go Free Escape Rooms was just a better experience. Lower budget, but well thought out escape rooms. After experiencing the archeologist room, we will be back to experience the other two rooms!

We came here for my sons 9th birthday and it was so much fun! It was super challenging, but there were tons of clues, so the action was non-stop. We had a great time and hes already begging to come back for his next birthday!

Went here for my birthday. We did The Misfortune Teller.I was disappointed at first that it was a one-room challenge but the experience far exceeded my expectations and it ended up being one of my favorite escape rooms Ive ever done. The staff were so friendly and cool, I cant wait to go back and do the other two experiences offered. Really great time.

Well thought out and run escape room. Have done a lot of escape rooms in Orlando and S. Florida and this is comparable. Definitely one of the better escape rooms especially for a non-franchise. Id highly recommend if youre looking for something different to do. Thanks Go-free for an awesome time!

Go Free Escape Rooms are challenging in the best way. Current rates at $22 per person; Id recommend about 4-6 in a party. Small, local business, the staff is so friendly and helpful. Rules for the escape rooms are fair, and clues are provided. Plans to expand later this year are underway.

We had a blast in the Misfortune teller room! It was our first time and the staff was fantastic! We used all three of our clues and managed to make it out with 1 minute to spare. It was challenging and very much a team effort. I would recommend no more than 6 people to a room. Cant wait to go back!

Ive been to a lot of escape rooms. And with it giving anything away, this one had a slightly different premise than most. I wasnt too sure going in, but it was really fun and the co owner who was there, Chris, did a great job of making it more fun.

Super fun!! We did the archeologist one with a bachelorette group of 5, and loved it! I’ve done a handful of escape rooms, and this one is certainly up by the top. With much more than 5 people, I think the particular room we did would probably be cramped with more than 5 or 6 people. It was challenging and quite creative. Would definitely recommend!

Had fun with the misfortune room. It was very fun and the price was fair. The only thing I didnt like was that I had to pay before hand to reserve the room :/ especially since i was not sure who was all coming in my party. The puzzles were hard. Good to have at least 4 peeps in your group. Go its worth it.

After being apprehensive I had a lot of fun this is the place that you need to have a group of friends dont go on a co-working thing go with people that you like and that you can have fun with. Its a great place for a bachelor party after a day of golf I know it seems random but I was very skeptical and pleasantly surprised.

Went here with a larger group and split up across two of the three rooms. Both groups had a good time and felt like the rooms were appropriately challenging. This is a bit lower budget than escape rooms in larger cities, but felt like they did well for the market here in the area.

Incredibly fun and puzzling!! The guys who run it really know their stuff. They give good hints if you need them. Great first time in an esacpe room.

The room was very well made and one of the better escape rooms I have ever done. The guys running it obviously have put alot of hard work and thought into GoFree. Cant wait to come try the new room when it opens in February!

My daughter and a group of girls on her volleyball team had a day of team building, and they had a blast doing the escape room. Would highly recommend it for any age group of 14 and older.
