This theatre is magical. Have had many wonderful evenings here. This was my first wedding on the stage!

I love going to the Paramount. It is so beautiful in there. They have a good variety of shows, musicals, and concerts. The prices vary but sometimes it seems a little expensive. But the Paramount is a historic landmark and beautiful. I love being here it makes me feel special

Loved how easy it was getting in and out if theater. Close parking and comfortable seating. Pretty expensive beverages, but show was free , so we felt $21.00 for 2 drinks and a popcorn was acceptable.

Absolutely amazing!! Very beautiful inside and very clean. Never been to a historical theater like this before! Perfect first time experience!! Saw Joe Bonamassa tonight at the 8:00pm show, AFTER MEETING HIM, SHAKING HIS HAND, AND GETTING HIS AUTOGRAPH @ 5:30!! Truly the greatest experience of my life!!! Treated my Dad to this amazing opportunity for his Fathers Day present!! Joe is his favorite guitarist ever!! Love you Dad!! Oh, by the way, I did not take photos of Joe during his performance, on purpose. I truly believe that something like this needs to be experienced in person and Im sure theres plenty of other photos of the concert out there.

Amazing show by Switchfoot! Never been to Cedar Rapids but this definitely seems like a gem of a place. Amazing theatre. Sat in the balcony and still had a great view of the stage. The acoustics are top quality as well. The restrooms are okay but nothing too great. They have a neat layout of stairs and rooms, as well as what appeared to be a full bar downstairs. Would recommend catching a show here. Only con is that there really is no leg room, the chairs obviously werent made for larger sized Americans.

Beautiful theater!! I love the architecture of the building! It was my first time here. From what i could tell, there really wasnt a bad seat in the house. Only issue was everyone getting crowded into the front small lobby before the doors opened (I was there for a concert). But I didnt have to wait that long to get in so it wasnt too bad.

Wow! What a beautiful theater! There was plenty of seating. We chose the upper level(balcony area). It had a great view of the stage. The lower level is handicap accessible, but I did not see if the upper level was. Plenty of handrails. The acoustics were terrific. We were expecting about 800 people for the grade school thru high school symphonies. Concession stand prices were very reasonable. Im not sure if they always have concessions. These appeared to be set up by school volunteers. Parking is a challenge unless you arrive early. Overall a wonderful experience at the venue. It was terrific watching our granddaughter play in the symphony.

Pork Tornadoes show was fun, well produced, feast for eyes and ears. The band is so polished and the arrangement and choice of cover songs is always evolving. This is our third year attending this February show and its s nice reprieve from the winter doldrums. The Paramount theater is such a great venue.

Wilco & Jeff Tweedy put out a masterful performance. Devout crowd, high energy and full of zest. The theatre itself is perfect size for an intimate yet numbered show.

This theater is kept clean, well maintained and the acoustics are great. The architecture inspires nostalgia from a time period long ago when theaters were constructed with a high level of detail and were very ornate. This place is a hidden treasure of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I have never been disappointed when I have attended a show here.

Very nice historic theater.

New to town so was quite interested in what the theatre was about and what to expect (modern, historical, etc ). After attending a show at the theatre, I was quite impressed with the setup and design inside. Very classic, renaissancey, majestic feel walking through the corridors into the actual theatre itself. I was definitely impressed and will go back. A true gem!

Its a beautiful theater with great acoustics. The staff is friendly and helpful. If your day was too rushed to catch dinner, they offer an assortment of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and simple food items. This theater does allow you to take your snacks to your seat.Ladies, if you need the ladies room at intermission, be prepared to wait.

Historic theater was very comfortable. Lots of great snacks. Easy to park on the street nearby although the show was only 1/3 full.

We traveled over 9 hours to go here for a Switchfoot concert. The concert was wonderful, and to top it off was that it was an AMAZING venue! This place is gorgeous! The details are amazing and well taken care of. We just kept snapping pictures because you just never see places like this anymore! The staff was very acommodating and friendly. They helped people find their seats and we even talked to one about the history of the place. Our seats were at the back on the floor (there is a balcony) yet we felt they were still close! I would highly recommend checking this place out and imagine any event here is made even better by this location.

It had been years since I last went to the Paramount, so I was pleasantly surprised at what the renovation had done. The seating was great and we had wonderful spots far enough back to be able to see everything, but not so far back I had to guess at what was going on. The ushers did a very good job of guiding us to our seats. We didnt have time to enjoy the concession stand because we stopped for dinner before the show. I heard good things about it though. The sound and lighting were just right for the show we went too. Im glad we have this type of venue around so we can bring these acts to town!

Follies has so many talented people, if I had any complaint it would be small. I feel some of the singers feel the need to sing so loud it takes away from their beautiful voices. Will always love the Follies been going since it began ️

Ive never seen a bad show at the Paramount. Theyre always very well staffed with people eager to help you find your seat. The acoustics are fantastic. They have at least three places to get drinks with the pricing being what you expect for an event. A glass of wine is about $6.50 and a pop is a few bucks. There are bathrooms on the main floor as well as the basement. Ive always found the basement bathroom to be the better choice as nobody seems to know it exists. Two things to consider.... 1.) It gets very warm during shows so if you take a jacket be ready to take it off or hold it all night. 2.) The seats are really close together with a shared armrest. If youre a bigger person, try to get an aisle seat or you may feel a little claustrophobic when the show starts. All in all the Paramount recruits great talent from here in Iowa as well as all over the country. Check it out, you wont be disappointed!

The Paramount is a treasure in Cedar Rapids! Its such an excellent performance venue. We just went to see Spamalot yesterday, and that was a blast. Id encourage everyone to visit the Paramount whenever they can!

Beautiful theater but the air conditioner was broke and very uncomfortable.

Profits over safety for their employees and attendees. Refuses to cancel events in wake of a very serious global pandemic during a national and state emergency. Discraseful!

The Paramount Theater is beautiful.Our granddaughter had a dance recital there and it was a wonderful experience.Plenty of parking space close by.

Community theater at its finest. Diversity and variations in the differences of actors and actresses added to the greatness of this group. If they were all cookie cutter perfect then the final product would be tarnished.

I rarely want to give something six stars, but this theater would absolutely deserve it. Beautifully and lovingly restored after insane amounts of flood damage (TWELVE FEET of water inside, AFTER filling the basement!?!) The results are wonderful. Highly recommend.

What a Wonderful production of the Cedar Rapids Follies held March 30 & 31 at the Paramount. The Music That Moves Us was equal to any of the Broadway shows shown at the Paramount. ***Fabulous***

The theatre is very beautiful. Unfortunately the seats are quite small and tightly spaced (this is coming from a relatively thin guy - so more heavyset folks will be extremely uncomfortable). Refreshments were good and it was nice to be able to get a snack at intermission.

Beautiful restored theatre. Wonderful piece of Cedar Rapids history. Getting to experience a concert done by high school musicians there makes the event spectacular!

Beautiful performances. One of Iowas most beautiful performance art centers. Would definetly recommend visiting. It does have quite a bit of construction going on around it, so make sure if you are elderly to get dropped off at the door in order to avoid having to walk around the block or get lost downtown.

Such a gorgeous venue, Cedar Rapids is lucky to have such a lovely place.

Its a very nice facility and much of the staff was very friendly. Not very happy that the staff at the concessions charged me $30 for real drinks that were $6.50 each and 1 popcorn. Didnt notice this until checking my credit card statement and they did not give a receipt. Will not be going back to purchase concessions. I recommend watching your credit card/prices they charge.

Great theater playing broadway/off Broadway shows with local talent mixed in. Saw Newsies and it was a great family outing.
