It was great. We saw the movie Freaky. We reclined in the comfy chairs and enjoyed the movie.

Been here countless times. Most of the time it has been very positive. The concession staff were plentiful and very friendly.The only confusing thing was that seating was “sold out” except for seating upfront even though the movie has been out for quite awhile and it seemed unlikely as we noticed quite a few of those seats went unoccupied...

Love the dream lounger seating and the remodel is very high end .

No fountain drinks available. Bottles of soda twice what you pay in store. Missing ceiling tiles. Air was not cool in theater. One bathroom sink not working. Informed employee could have cared less. Concession worker less than friendly

The Dreamlounger seats are amazing! So much room and very comfy. Concessions, as with all movie theaters, are way too expensive.

I’ve been calling the Marcus theater for my refund because they locked the doors before I got there. Then the number to this location is inaccurate. It does not work. Customer service does not answer at all. The website is talking about we can’t get a refund after the movie time. Very conniving and unprofessional and I will no longer be a loyaL customer of Marcus threater after I get my refund.

Great theater with awesome seats! The seats are so comfortable. Service is good. Their food is ok. Hot dogs suck. Prices are what you expect from a big theater. The outside has a lot of trash all over. I’ve been back days later and the same trash is everywhere outside. It’s a classy theater on the inside.

The seats are comfortable and the viewing angles are good but the volume especially on previews and ads was uncomfortably LOUD.

The cinema is pretty nice, it was pretty dead when I was there. I think the dream loungers are pretty cool and make watching the movie more enjoyable. 12 bucks for a ticket is kinda high, but I get that its necessary. Overall, 5/5 will definitely go there again.

This is the best theater in the city. The chairs turn into love seats, are heated, and recline. There is a bar up front and an a small arcade upstairs. The snack stand serves actual food that is very good. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because they dont show 3D movies. I posted a picture of the awsome Monster Burger I got.

Katie, the greeter is the best. She is very warm and welcoming. The seating is good. Sometimes the seats wont move though. :( I do like the prices on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Those are the best days to go.

Overall good. Always enjoy this theater. But I had gotten gift card from friend. Came with $5 concession cards. Found out after ordering $50 of stuff I could only use 1 per transaction. Thats why they get 3 stars. Not exactly providing a convenient process. Next time I will give each member of my family 1 and all order separately. Place was more customer friendly before Marcus took over.

The only real con about this place is the price. It has extremely nice Dream Lounger electrical reclining chairs. The movie selection is always up to date and offers any major titles of late. However, its so expensive that I usually prefer other theaters, which tend to cost less than half as much for the same movies and still have comfortable seating.

Previews much too long. Movie scheduled for 11:00 didnt start till 11:35. Captive audience to show future movies. . Not Interested!!! Saw everyone and commercials on TV! TOO LOUD! Im not deaf. Not even hard of hearing.Back to my wait for it on TV or buy on CD.

Comfortable heat seat n recliner

This theater is known for its great seats. And I love that you can RSVP specific ones. Losing a star because the bathrooms have much to be desired and have been quite dirty each time I am there.

It was a very pleasant experience. The chairs were comfortable but after two hours in them I was glad 2 get up & out of them. Can make it difficult. I am old so no pun intended..I will highly recommend.

They have freaking RECLINERS, people!!!So much leg space in between seats.Popcorn tasted fabulous. Theater entrance has definitely been updated in the last few years (yeah, itd been a while since I got back here to catch a show at this location). Impressive updates, especially the pizza kitchen & swanky bar area.Only downside I found is that I couldnt get either sensor-activated faucets to work in the south womens bathroom. User error, maybe?

Its really expensive, but the dream loungers are so comfy and nice. Great screens and always has a good number of movies and times. Of course the concessions is expensive but thats everywhere. Outside of cost, its a great experience.

My first time there was awesome. Loved that you could order actual food, not just normal popcorn and candy. Reclining chairs were a nice bonus too.

I really like how they are catering more toward adults now. The chairs are more comfortable, more like recliners than typical movie chairs. They have restaurant style food and beverages, including alcohol. Burgers and fries are awesome. You can order your food and go to the movie and they will give you a device that will light up and vibrate when your food is ready. Then you can take your food into the movie theater to eat while you watch.I had an issue once where the device didn’t light up. After a while I went looking for the food and they made up for it by giving me a refund on the food, so they’ve got good customer service.If I could make a suggestion, maybe they could bring you the food to your seat in the movie once it’s ready. There are assigned seats so it should work fine.

Great place to relax and enjoy a movie

Very clean throughout the theater and arcade. There is a full service bar out front and tons of food options at the concession stand. The dream loungers were wonderful and clean. The bathroom was a bit dark and needs a remodel but was functional.

Employees are very helpful and friendly. I am disappointed that their early shows seem to be gone. Being retired it was nice to save some money on early shows.

Great movie theater! Recently renovated with a bar & pizzeria and the standard concession. The Dream lounger love seat-sized recliner seats are great & you get to reserve your seats when you purchase your tickets. Very comfortable way to watch a movie.

The theater auditorium was great, very clean, picture and sound were good, and the recliners are awesome. We were watching a horror movie though, and were repeatedly interrupted by a childrens birthday party just outside our theater, and half the things in the restrooms didnt work. So the actual movie part is great, things outside the auditorium are hit and miss.

Marcus makes going to the movies easy amd relaxing. Their app is really nice, the seats are clean and comfortable, and they always have the most current movies. If you want to watch a movie in comfort and have a little extra cash to spend, you cant go wrong here

Was great havent been to Movie theater longer than great grand daughters age! It was awesome so different than my day as far as seats and games to play Still have drinks candy and popcorn (can only get at movie theatre) but have added more since my day (hint how long ago that was!)

I went to theatre Enjoy and Experience movie feel but, Every time i got Disappointed and getting Headache because lights inside theater was turned on throughout the movie. I complained to manager but they said lights were set to decrease lowest light not to turned off completely.

Great movie, great seats. Popcorn was burnt, even on the replacement. Why would a movie theater ever want to sell bad popcorn??? Bathroom was a mess. Half the IR faucets didnt work and after 2 minutes on a functional faucet, absolutely NO warm water. Then of course the paper towel dispenser was empty. The exit was filthy with pop or grease stains. Just gave the impression that they didnt care.

Would rate 5 stars if they turned the lights off in the theater. Movie is playing and shadows are being cast on the screen... Its been a consistent problem whenever I go there. Maybe theres been an issue with the couple-style seating?

The staff were all polite and the theater and restrooms were very clean. The reclining chairs were very comfy and the bar was cool. Well be back!

This is the only theater I want to go to now w/great food (highly recommend the fresh DONUTS=NONE THIS GOOD EXCEPT FRM the Fairs!!). And I only want to sit in the comfy recliners now! Not young enough for those old hard movie seats now.

Although I miss just being able to drop in to a movie last minute, it was nice not having to get there early since our seats were already reserved. Love the reclining comfort, popcorn was amazingly good and of course loved Frozen II...

They havent been upholding their policies lately. Ive had entire movies ruined for me because of talking, phone usage, and inappropriate activity during the film.Once they finally learn how to be strict Ill give more stars.

Very updated, very refreshing. I love $5 Tuesdays. Great member benefits. Recliner chairs are very comfortable- they make for a nice nap during bad movies. Love the upstairs arcade. Nice, big screens. Expensive concessions (normal for movie theaters). Popcorn could use more butter. Bathrooms could use some updates.

Good seats, however do NOT sit in the front, it is way close. Normally I like sitting in the front but these recliner seats seem closer than normal

Really nice renovated theater with fancy auditoriums (with the dream lounger recliner seating). A wide variety of food and beverage options for a premium movie experience. Tickets are a little expensive, as is food (like any movie theater) but it’s a very quality theater.

Clean, comfortable chairs and arcade

This theater had a wide range of food and candy, an arcade area, and those nice reclining seats. When your watching the movie you have plenty of leg room and elbow room. They have air hockey tables and those games where you shoot at enemies on the screen with controllers that are actually shaped like guns. But, like most movie theaters, everything is overwhelmingly overpriced. The tickets, the games, and especially the food.

Love this place, always a good time, service is always friendly. Great place to take children of all ages, huge soda machine, upstairs arcade, even has a bar inside! Good for dates, or just a family chill day. Highly recommend you go here! You are also able to select your own seats. 5 star from me plus some!

The seats are great. The service was ok. However they have a new rule where you cant bring in purses that are tote sizes. I only own big purses. Had to leave mine in the car. Good thing they have those security guards that I could outrun to protate things. The food is good. However it is so overly priced, for a bottle of water is 4.75 however if you get a class of water it is over 5 dollars. Paid 21 for 2 drinks and popcorn. Overly priced I rather go to another movie theater for better service, cost effective. Better yet Ill stay home.

Love the comfort as if I was at home everyone was very helpful and courteous.

The only thing good is the new reclining seats. Otherwise the concessions are way overpriced. $12 for a med popcorn and soda. And Im not a fan of the reserved seating. If you dont Order them in advance you probably wont get a very good seat.

The way a movie theater experience should be! Nice comfy reclining chairs and youre not sitting on top of one another. No different than any other theater where you spend more on food than your tickets, but dont hate the player, hate the game! Ive been impressed with their ability to keep lines manageable. Never have had more than 1 party in front of me at concessions and theyre quick to open another lane if things back up. They keep things clean and its an easy in and out experience.

Awesome movie theater! We always enjoy going to Marcus Cinema. The seats are super comfy, and the fact that you can reserve your seats ahead of time is the best way to go to the movies! The bar selection is also super, and its nice to be able to have your drink in the movie with you. Highly recommended!

A great, modern cinema with a spectacular staff. The theaters themselves are as modern as they get, possessing large, cushy seats that recline, and include footrests. The theaters are clean and appeared to be overall well maintained.This cinema also has a bar and restaurant that is open evening during the weekday, and I believe most of the day over the weekends.All in all I would strongly recommend Marcus Cinema of Cedar Rapids.

I will never be happy at a normal theatre again. Marcus makes going to the movies a fun experience again. And $5 Tuesdays is a wonderful way to have a cheep date night.

Seating is very comfortable, although our row of chairs had a broken one and the solution was 1 free ticket for next time. Pricing is absolutely out of this world expensive! Tickets were about what you expect but $9 for a large popcorn and $5 for bottle of water is way too high.

Great theater exceeded all of my expectations. However, I wanted to see Pet Sematary with Mia and they were no longer showing it. Nate said we could go and she deserves it because Mia does a really good job. I will give 5 stars after Mia and I see a movie together.

My favorite theater in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area! The reclining seats and ability to choose seats is definitely worth the extra price for tickets. The seats are comfy and Im always impressed with how clean the floors are, considering popcorn is being spilled all day. Another bonus is that theres a mini-arcade area on the second floor of the lobby. They also have other food/drink options, which makes it a one stop place for a dinner/movie date. The only downside to me is their popcorn tastes stale, even if its fresh. The Marcus theater at Coral Ridge has better popcorn.

My husband and I love going here!! We love the new seats. I just hate the system of seating now. We have had 2 couples try to tell us that we have their seats when we bought them. So I wish that was somehow helped? Other than that, fantastic theater!

Absolutely love the reclining seating and self check in. Food and drink is decent but very expensive. The bathrooms are in desperate need of an update. The sinks and towel dispensers do not always work. Overall this is a fine place to see a movie but could use some improvement.

You can get early and watch some sports while waiting to see a movie, and theres good monthly package deals

Once you go you will want to return. Spacious comfortable seats with cup holders and place to put popcorn. Almost impossible to get view blocked even for kids. Reclining seats great but could not figure out how to turn on seat heater. No directions anywhere

Great amenities after the renovations. Awesome reclining seats with tickets still in the price range of an average theater. Also you can take food and drinks from the lobby restaurant into the theatre if youre craving a good beer with your movie.

The remodeling job turned out great. Concessions has so much to offer . The bar area looks very nice. I didnt check out the game area, but it sounded like everyone was having fun. Very nice.

This is just an amazing theater heated reclining seats. Its like being in your living room. They have delivery service to your seat if youd like some pizza or other snacks a bar in the lounge. What moe could you ask for how about a large game room upstairs great place!!!

We had a good experience at the theater. Friendly face greeting us. Fresh popcorn. We were frustrated with the fact that we didnt want to pay the online fee, so we ended up with tickets in the very front since its all assigned seating. The seats there are very comfortable and recline and turn into love seats if you prefer.

Almost $15 for a beer. No prices on drink menu. Total rip. This robbery is why you wait for bluray or go somewhere else. 24 mins of previews. Total BS. Never again.

Skip the Iowa city and Coralville Marcus theatres and come to this one, this theatre is amazing. Reclining seats that you can reserve, and they have an arcade to kill time while you wait for your movie. I love this place!

I visited for the first time last week with my son. We bought tickets online, but when we got there one of the seats was broken and would not recline. I found an employee and he literally banged on it but could not get it to work. He suggest I get new seats. However, turned it the theater was mostly full. I got great seats booking on line, ended up with really bad seats. The sad part is I still ended up paying the online booking fee.Otherwise, the theater was really nice. Comfortable seats, friendly staff.

I really like the movie watching experience here. One complaint is the main mens restroom smells terrible. With such a cool theater that is really disappointing. If that was addressed it would be 5 star.

The Movie Toy Story 4 was excellent! But the volume was Abit too loud for me. The popcorn was sort of too salty but was buttered well. We were guests of Eagle Financial and they supplied Movie, Popcorn, Candy and Pop. Made our Movie experience Most Enjoyable!

My favorite movie theater to go to when Im in town. My son and I saw Ralph Breaks the Internet. We loved the seats, so comfy when you recline. I was told that they even heat up?!?! I wish I would have known when we were watching the movie. I love that you can reserve your seats online. I hate waiting in lines and then getting into the theater and all the good seats be taken... NO MORE!!!We stopped at arcade upstairs before heading out. Games were very pricey. And 1 of the games glitched, causing us to lose a dollar. The manager was able to refund it back though. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the girl that took my order for the popcorn had a sour attitude. But other than that, PERFECT!

This is the nicest theater I have ever been in. Every time I go back, I love the experience. Honestly, its mostly the dream lounge seats that makes it great. I guess the bar is nice too, but I dont need alcohol with every movie.

A high quality service, truly worthy of 5 stars. The accomodations were comfortable and the recliner was indeed customizable, the video quality truly was crisp with vivid colors, and the sound quality immerses you into the environment as if you were physically there.

Awesome lounge chairs make the movie SO MUCH more enjoyable. Nice theater with full bar, large food selection. Food prices are high because its a theater, but not as ridiculous as some theaters. Also it is fairly clean especially the bathrooms which are often not as clean in some theaters. This is my favorite movie theater by far.

I had not been to a movie in cedar rapids in about 10 years. They have upgraded this place for how hyped the seats were I found them okay but I would rather just watch something from my lazyboy in my house vs coming here. You can pick your seats I went here on thanksgiving and saw a movie for around $6. If I went later in the day it would have cost more than $12. I saw the movie around 8am that day not many people were there then not much was open it was interesting to see how this theater has adapted to the changing media landscape. They had about a half hour of ads and promos on the screen before the movie even started. I think Disney may end up owning almost all the movie theater so then they would have a fully intergated firm.

Had less then 5 minutes to get to our movie after paying online just to have someone come in and sign to watch the movie. bad service. id rather go somewhere else to see the same movie that’s cheaper and has better service.
