Is a great campground, thought the bathrooms would be open later in the season, so it cut my stay short. 60 degree days, but still a beautiful day and night

Great rustic campsites available along the Cedar River, trees and fields. Electric and full hookups available in field type setting.Flush toilets available. Poor shower facilities.Fantastic connection to dedicated paved bike trails to downtown Cedar Falls, connecting to great trails in George Wyth trails. Under used trails.

We camped here and loved how much room there was on the site. It was spread out enough from the other sites and all the facilities were very clean! Absolutely loved it.

Was a quiet campground. Lots of open sites for some reason. Even caught a few fish as a bonus. Sites are spacious. Appeared to have been flooded at some time. Maybe thats why there werent very many campers especially for a holiday weekend

You can do camping, boating fishing, shooting (of wide ranges). We even flew kites here on a sunny day. With toilets etc. Beautiful place.

Took my kids there they love it so in turn I love every visit i/ we have there.

Nice place, but last the DNR on duty last was very rude and disrespectful. Came over to our campsite unannounced yelling and being very rude. We were up late playing a game but nothing out of control by any means.This is your first and consider it your final warning. Shut the game down. You guys will be out of here. We were just like whooo what just happened?I mean theres a certain way you should treat people and this guy was out of line. If he would have come over and been civil about it there wouldnt be any issue. Family was in town from the Carolinas and we were just having a low key good time.Very unprofessional of the guy.

Does anybody know of any other outdoor free bow range in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area?Black Hawk park has been frequently closed this year. The frustrating thing about this is that their website isnt updated to let us know when their range is open.

Very clean and well maintained. Really enjoy shooting at the pistol and rifle range, very clean and the best public range around here. It appears that they really care about how the park looks.

Great county park with lots of activities. Full RV hook ups and tent camping and bike trails. Has a boat ramp with Cedar River access. Offers a free shooting range with nice benches for short and long range, trap, and archery. Lots of picnic pavilions to host small gatherings. Super cool park ranger

Nice place! Too bad it floods so much.

The park itself is large with lots of space, quite roads, river access and a large gun/bow range. I go for the Fire Trail which is a three miles long trail (6 miles out and back). The trail is often under water in a few spots and only mowed a few times a year, but if your up for the hike its very quiet and peaceful.

Clean. Showers need work. Would love if there were more dump sites. Cars shouldnt be a loud to save spaces without campers.

I enjoy Camping and Going fishing there.. The Grounds Crew is always busy doing something around the Park and theres lots of places to enjoy . And you will see a lot of different animals and birds. All around the Park.. All around great place to visit..

Was a very clean park lots of trees and wild life to enjoy.picnic was comfortable with electric for keeping food warm. Very modern park

The park has keys been beautiful. Been going there since I was a child and now I take my children there as well . Didnt have much luck fishing, but the youngest loves the playgrounds!

I love this campground because it is in to woods and has wild life all around you. Mosquitos are a problem though but no more than can be expected. We went just after flood waters had receded and the picnic tables had yet to be put back at the campsites. Thw larger playground was not playable because of the sand being moved around by the flood waters. The camp hosts were very accommodating though!!

Great county park that is, for me, close to home. Always able to get a last-minute camping trip in if I want. They have a lot of different things to do and a large variety of camping spots, from primitive to full hook-ups.

This is a county Park with camping. It is a great place to stay while traveling across country. There are showers, flush toilets and only $13 night for camping. Very quiet after the shooting range ends at dark. Nice people. We did not explore the rest of the park but some here were staying a week. There are 2 parts to the campground. We stayed on the tent side but the other side had full rv sites and cost more. On the tent side you just put your tent wherever you want.

I love camping here. Full hookups are nice. Gun range close by if I so chose. Large park. My wife loves walking and exercising here.

Its really nice to have a public shooting range in Cedar Falls. Pros: no cost, nice shooting benches, lots of distances and activities. Cons: often flooded (check the Black Hawk County Conservation Boards Facebook page for closures), no range officers so you have to take safety into your own hands, can get muddy, and the target stands get shot up pretty bad. Overall, Im glad to have the resource. Just make sure you communicate safety standards to those shooting near you!

Nice park with two camping areas bike trails picnic shelters boat launch shooting and archery range. Great fishing on the Cedar River and a couple ponds.

We camped here when I was a kid. Had a great time fishing and camping. Still a great place.

Love Blackhawk Park. So many things to see abd to do. Fish the ponds or the river. It has shooting range for. Guns and bow Arrows!!!

Its A Great Place To Be In

We camped in Fogdall Campground on a site that had water and electric, large site backing to woods. There are good walking and biking trails and plenty of playgrounds and pavilions.

Camped for the weekend. Kind of pricey. Still, a good time.

Wonderful place to enjoy nature, there are also several playground for children to play!

I go tubing and get out here. Its perfect.
