This place is AMAZING. Has a place for the younger ones and then a place for the older ones. Has 2 slides and in another area a diving board. Very nice place and has very nice people who work there. Great place to run the kids energy out.

Went there to play some basketball during open gym (according to the web site and the front desk) and got kicked out half an hour later by a womens basketball league. This is unacceptable! This rec center has the worst scheduling Ive ever seen! After getting kicked out I went up to the front desk to ask for a refund and the front desk manager Liz gave me a snotty attitude. She was of no help whatsoever.Going to this rec center makes no sense for the average person because the only areas open (excluding weekdays between 5 AM and 4 PM) are the weight and cardio rooms. Why waste $7 per visit, when you can get the same amenities at a local gym for $10 a month? If this wasnt a government funded facility it would be out of business.

The facilities are very nice however the pool area doesn’t post rules for rude children and their equally rude parents.I’ll watch Dad’s and Sons hog the slide floaters for an hour straight and not even offer it up to a child or one of the little girls waiting patiently for one to become available.I understand the solution is not necessarily more slide floats but rules that civilized and mindful people and children need to follow.It’s downright depressing watching the parents do the same selfish thing and also letting their sons slide backwards on the slide.Rules regarding pool floats should be posted such as a cool off time in between sliding where the float is returned so that every child can enjoy the slide without feeling like they are dealing with a mass of Neanderthals

This place is much better than the MAC. The pool is bigger and has more activities for the kids (and grown up kids). There are indoor basketball courts, racquetball, and a weight room.It’s a bit older than the MAC but it seems to be well maintained

This is one of the nicest community centers you will find. I am so proud of our small town for its dedication to this community center. Our family, especially my kids, love the pool. The slides are always a hit.

Great place. Went on a Sunday for a kids swim party. Not super crowded and plenty of things to do. Kids had a blast. Fun play structure in the pool area. Only thing that irritated me is that the lifeguards were not on the same page: one was okay with my son being in the hot tub as long as I was standing next to him (I wasnt swimming) supervising (literally 3 feet away) and then another lifeguard came on duty and kicked him out even though I was still in the exact same spot (not on my phone or anything) supervising. Get your rules straight.

Great community center. My family has used this place over the years and we are all very happy with it. Everything is clean and well maintained. The pool is well known in the Castle Rock area. Very reasonably priced for access as well.

I use this facility as my primary gym. I can work out for free because of Silver Sneakers. They have yoga, all kinds of cardio, weights, and so forth. Also a very nice pool.

Great place to go! Staff is friendly and its kept clean. Kids love the slides in the swimming area, however theyre in need of more tubes. My little guy loves the kiddie area. I like it because its a indoor swimming pool, so it doesnt matter what the weather is like.

Giving this two stars due to high price for a rec center. (Other Rec Centers in surrounding municipalities are much cheaper)It has similar amenities to Castle Rocks 24HR plus a pool and basketball courts. However the weight room is lacking. The plates are not standard size and they have elevated ridges that make them a non-disc shape. Ie: any movement involving putting a barbell on the floor is incredibly annoying (think hexagon plates). Also the barbells are cheap and lack any significance of knurling. Obviously they purchased this equipment to discourage heavy lifting (deadlifts in particular).Also, the hot tub and/or sauna is out of service at least once a month and the mens locker room is generally pretty unclean.Depending on what you put value in, this could be a good place or there are way better options for the high membership price and having limited hours of operation compared to other gyms. Im cancelling my membership and going elsewhere due to this.

Great kiddie pool area for my young ones. They love this place and never want to leave. On busy days it can be hard to find a place to put your stuff poolside.

This has been one of the most memorable places in Castle Rock until its (fairly) recent expansion. The gym is ok the equipment isnt anything special but it gets the job done. There are pickup basketball games throughout the week as well. Lastly is the pool which is the best part of this place. The hot tub and steam room are really nice and the slides they have are fun as well as the lazy river. Overall its a nice place and definitely worth a membership if you are able to go often enough.

I love this rec center. The gym equipment is great and well maintained. There is an indoor running track, though I wish it was longer and coated with something to make it like a track instead of just hard floor. The classes are great and fun and there are so many! The pool is great and the kids pool is fun with two great slides. Theres racket ball and basket ball too. The only thing I wish it had was an awesome indoor playground like the MAC in Castle Rock has.

Very nice facility. Nice swimming pools and large gym. The senior center is attached and offers a lot of activities. Our grandchildren love the pool and slides. A lot of bang for the buck.

A very nice community gym and pool area with baby sitting facility. Good bang for your buck as well. Friendly staff but lack knowledge, maybe because some of them are super young. Not far from peeps living in the meadows and nearby area. I would suggest getting an annual membership if you would be using it on regular basis.

This (new) rec center is a fun place to spend time with young family member. We rented a room for my nephews 1st birthday party. He loved it and it was decently priced.

This is a great place to bring your kids for the water park. 2 big water slides, but there is a height requirement. Sorry I forget what it is. Small lazy river, toddler play area with a little water slide. Jacuzi, steam room. And very reasonably priced. Great lifeguard staff too, very professional.

This is a satisfactory community recreation facility. The building, facilities, and equipment is quite dated but is still well maintained and usable. I think they are doing the best they can with the space and facilities that exist. Monthly membership is costly compared to a franchise gym.

Its a fun place to take the kids when theyre not in school. I really like all the activities that are available for adults and kids alike. Theres plenty to do at this wonderful place the town provides.

Awesome place with great, friendly staff! I am totally hooked on their group classes. Their instructors are amazing, the classes are always fun (and a serious work out!), and not intimidating/stuffy. We have a family pass and everyone loves it. There are always great activities for kids and the whole family!

An active welcoming and interesting senior Center. Wonderful monthly activities for every age. Great trips. Very community minded and helpful staff. Everyone over 60 should definitely join!

My family and I love this place and come here often. Most employees here could obviously care less about their job and the mood they put customers in, but one stands out. Maggie always goes above and beyond to make sure she always wears a smile and puts customers in a great mood.

We love the pool and the workout area!! It very nice. The bathrooms are clean and the people that work there are very kind and patient!! We recommend this place deeply!

The castle rock rec center is well furnished recreation area. It has decent swimming accommodations, a newly refurbished weight room, a cardio/track area, as well as exercise education rooms.

So many memories were made here when I was younger. I remember swimming for hours when enjoying a lime Popsicle out on the playground. This center is clean, the staff is friendly, and the pools are large and can accommodate large crowds. If you want something quieter, the first pool is great, and the second pool is better for louder fun.

Very poor customer service in the pool area. Specifically the short haird blonde lifeguard, very grumpy everytime I have seen her working.everything else is great though

Really great list of options for family activities. Some of the elements are a bit older, but its a great value for the cost.Tons of activity options including racquetball, walleyball, swimming, basketball, weights, classes. I highly recommend it!

Building needs some updating. Weve attended bday parties here and they have always been fun. The CPR certification that i paid for my babysitter to take wasnt that great. I havent had the greatest experience with some of the staff. Some are not that friendly when approached. It is sad because it is usually the people at the desk who greet you.

We love this facility. Why not 5 stars? Simple...membership price. Its as much as anywhere else with a lot less equipment. On a busy Saturday its really difficult to get a work out in with weights. That being said, pretty much everything else is great. Lap pool, big play pool for kids, basketball court, track and a daycare. The best part is their second to none classes offered. From Pilates to yoga to body attack and cardio they have you covered with great times almost all day. The instructors are fun as well. Kelly is the best!

Awesome leisure pool with hot tubs and slides, great classes and equipment. An indoor track. Bathrooms could be a little bit more cleaner and the price is pretty high, but understandable with all the stuff they have.

Lately, you never know what will be in operation in the aquatic area on any given day, lots of shutdowns, maintenance that just keeps on going, and a n aquatic staff that seems to be clueless, the hot tube on Sunday was full of foam?! You need to call ahead before you go to find out the status, do not count on things to be working.

Best place to workout in Castle Rock really. Cheapest per visit anyway. Good pool too.

Recreation Center is equipped with weight and exercise equipment. It has a lap pool with diving board sauna and jacuzzi and a kiddie pool area with a slide. Has a senior Center and is host to many activities. Has kids night out on Fridays. Plenty of parking.

I drive about 30 minutes to go to the gym here, mostly because of the on-site child care. Without it, a gym membership would be useless to me. The rate for child care is very reasonable ($3 an hour as I write this) and the staff are always pleasant.We also find the membership rates to be good as well, even as non-residents. The rates include use of the gym facilities, a wide variety of classes, a lap pool and a leisure pool. The gym meets expectations and while there are a lot of places it could improve, the value for the cost is great.Two places that could use some improvement. Its often hard t find a place to do exercises on the floor, things like push-ups and crunches. The weight room (free weights) is also a bit on the small side. It has a good selection of equipment, but it is sometimes hard to find space for off equipment exercises like lunges and deadlifts.These are not a big deal in my mind (hence the 4 star rating), just things to be aware of if youre checking it out. I recommend buying day passes or a punch card so you can try it out without a commitment first. As long as you dont expect a glamorous experience, I think youll be happy. Who needs glamor anyway? Its a gym!

Theres a total of 6 inner tubes for over 3 dozen kids in the pool area.... Not enough tables and chairs for the adults in the swim area. Hoping management will invest in more inner tubes and tables and chairs.

They charge for the parents to go down and sit while their children swim in the pools. Never had to pay to sit and watch my own children in a pool when we go to any other place.

The staff of kid lifeguards are looking out for everyone, and responsible for saving my 10 year old from drowning. Only to respond to my thanks with; its no big deal, thats what were here to do, its our job. I say WOW!
