What a great place to take a walk or have a picnic. My daughters love all the turtles and ducks. We have even seen a bald Eagle fishing in the lake.

Here for the NC Chinese Lantern Festival. What an amazing and well run event. We were a little worried as rain was in the forecast but we actually think it helped keep some people away. Crowded but not too bad. Ample, well marked parking. My mom is having knee trouble so we were able to drop her at the gate to minimize her walking. Lots of refreshment options with food trucks and concessions. Lanterns were amazing. So colorful and unique. Lots of opportunities for family pics. The hourly events with Chinese acrobats were pretty amazing too. Definitely great event to attend!

We came with a group this Sunday evening to attend the 2019 Chinese Lantern Festival. The parking staff was super friendly as well as the staff at the gate. It wasnt too crowded tonight. They have shows at 7, 8, and 9. We really enjoyed all of the talent, lights, and art!! It is fun for all ages.

Awesome experience..free parking as well in case youre wondering. me and my gf went to the Chinese lantern festival, and it was simply amazing. The lines are pretty crazy, but with patience it goes fairly quick. They have alot of neat displays to take pictures of, and the food is very good. They have a live show every top of the hour, and it blew my mind what they can do. It takes about an hour to fully tour the whole place. I will definitely come back again! You wont be disappointed.

The Chinese Lantern Festival is a MUST see! What a fantastic display of lights. Of course the 200 long 30 high dragon is the main attraction for the lights. The show they put on at the amphitheater is fabulous! This was a great show all the way! Definitely make this a must stop trip if youre anywhere near the area!

Instead of going to go see traditional Christmas lights we went to the NC Chinese lantern festival and it was so fun! This is my 2nd time going and my family really enjoyed. They also had a concession stand and food trucks. Every hour on the hour they put a show with traditional Chinese acrobats! Definitely worth the experience!

There is a Chinese lantern festival here at Christmas every year. This thing is amazing and worth checking out at least once in you holidays festivities. It is better to go either before the two weeks of Christmas or two weeks after. It stays for a while. They have shows you can watch at different times. They have a food vendor that sells hot drink and light foods like popcorn and chips. It takes about a hour to walk around and look in a hurry. You really need about two hours to enjoy and take in all the sights and shows. The lights are crazy. You can see them from the road and in the day time you can see the floats out on the water. This hung is massive and just unreal till you see it for yourself in person. I recommend working this into you holiday with the fam. I know I will every year.

Brought family in from out of town for the Chinese Lantern Festival. They loved it. Weeknight is much less crowded but a great environment nonetheless. I went ahead for tickets earlier in the day as online prices have high service fees so go to the kiosk ahead of time!! Big hit with the kids 3, 6, and 10. (so were the Mr. B doughnuts).

The Koka Booth is a gem of a place in Cary. The surroundings are beautiful and such a great place to relax, catch a concert, and to kick back. The only reason I am giving this place a four star is due to the seating. We recently attended a concert and paid for seating in one of the sections near the stage. The seating provided is somewhat uncomfortable and you feel a bit crowded. Otherwise, a great venue. I highly recommend the Chinese Lantern festival as well!

Low sound levels. They say general admission, but people bring chairs and claim spots. Simply the worst venue for a concert I have ever been to. I’ve seen about 5 or so shows here over the past 15 years, and the venue has always sucked out all of the energy. Even Red Hat is better, and they suck too. Please play at DPAC, Carolina Theatre, Walnut Creek, etc.

We visit Koka Booth almost every year for the Chinese lantern festival. It is awesome and kids would love it. Its pretty well organised and the crowd management is also great. Did not have to wait long to get inside, since we went during the first week of opening this year. There was the Chinese acrobatic performance as well. Overall it was great. Not sure why one would have such a high convenience fee of $6.33, per ticket, for online ticketing for a $20 entry fee. Except for that, it was great!

Koka Booth Amphitheatre is the perfect venue for the NC Symphony Summerfest and a number of other annual events. Typically on the 4th of July there is an impressive fireworks display and live music. The venue is fairly small but it was very organized and the acts on the stage continued non-stop so no matter when you arrive, you can probably catch them all. There are a few vendors with very reasonable prices and a snack bar with some great snacks including sidewinder fries and hot chocolate spiked with Baileys (especially great because the evening was fairly chilly). Lots of lights and displays to see so kids will love it as well. And parking is free so thats a plus. It was a nice event and something different to do during the holiday season.

Chinese lantern festival is FABULOUS! Running from November to January really cuts down on big crowds and allows any night to potentially be enjoyable without a huge rush. Expect to spend 1-2 hours, or longer. Excellent displays and performances. Weather may vary. Concessions (hot dog, gingerbread, hot chocolate, coffee) and (potentially) food trucks available.

For the Chinese lantern festival, the event is wheelchair accessible to a point, but it requires a lot of backtracking because there are paths that end in stairs. Dont think that is the festivals fault so much as poor design of the venue. Also, beware of the steps around the amphitheatre; easy to not see the tiers of steps and take a tumble. We saw two different people have that issue tonight.

Its a really neat smaller scale amphitheater and good parking. Its in a pretty location. Its not the easiest to maneuver around for those in wheelchairs or handicapped. Thats the only reason for the 4 stars. The area is grassy and somewhat hilly. So, if youre in a wheelchair, using a cane and have mobility issues, or anyone who may be pushing a stroller, its a bit challenging. Theres a lot of good bands who perform here.

First visit to Koka Booth Amphitheatre. Koka Booth Amphitheatre was easy to get to. Parking was easy, too. We went for the Chinese Lantern Festival, which was pretty spectacular. Saw the Chinese acrobats perform on the main stage. This looks like a great place to see bands: the amphitheater is not big, so every seat must feel close to the stage. Most of the seating is either grass or brick, so plan to stand or sit on the ground.

Disappointing! Last year’s Chinese Light Festival was amazing, therefore I was excited to to take my holiday visitors. We expected a long line but were surprised there were no accommodations for the handicapped, not even a bench to sit on, while we waited in line. We considered leaving but my handicapped mother and daughter refused. We pushed mom, on the seat of her walker, down and back up the hill, but our handicapped daughter, who has difficulty walking and standing, had to stand in an endless line, so by the time we walked through the gates they were both exhausted. They sat on a bench to rest, therefor they missed most of the festival, because there was no accommodation for the handicapped. Second, we bought tickets online, and paid an extra $6.25/ ticket ($62.50), but the people without tickets pealed off into a much shorter line. (They had our money so they knew we would wait.) I thought it would be worth it when we saw the displays and show, but the light displays were less impressive than last year. There were fewer displays, they were less interesting, less colorful, and some displays even showed wear and tear. Numerous white pandas do not make up for actual displays. There was no “wow factor”, compared to last year’s festival . My last hope was the fire breathing dragon, but instead it was a fancy chicken. Appropriate for this disappointing Festival. I apologized to my visitors. We will not return.

The Chinese Lantern festival this year was as beautiful and unique as it has been the last few years I have visited. The lights and displays are the main features of this festival. They also have live performances on stage, that are only worth watching for a moment, and if it wasnt for the Chinese themed music would not fit into the festival at all. You can fuel your holidays spirit with food and hot chocolate at the concessions. Great for singles and familys to enjoy. You will spend about an hour to an hour and a half seeing everything.
