Super impressed!!I’ve been in a lot fish store and I finally realized that this one is the best one in North Carolina.The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I Would absolutely recommend this place if you need anything for your tank or for your fish. They also have the best price and I would rather drive 50 minutes to get there than go to a nearby store.

Small shop, a little hard to find, but WELL WORTH THE EFFORT!!! Great selection, very knowledgeable staff and and good prices. We drive 1.5 hours and pass 3 other stores to go to this one. Do yourself a favor and visit this store!!

Went today with a couple friends to check out the store and get my buddy a new fish for his salt water tank. The staff was very friendly, knowledge, and helpful. They had a wonderful selection of healthy fish at very reasonable prices. They also had a great selection of both soft and hard Coral.

They are nice people that dont pester you a lot when youre in there.They are also quite knowledgeable and helpful when you have questions and need advice.I enjoy the visits a lot!

The store is nothing less than amazing, and the workers are wonderful and its clear they care about their fish more than just making money. We had such a fun time at the aquarium! I have 3 kids ages 18, 8 and 5 and they all had a great time! We got a treat and was able to see the jellyfish get fed! The kids loved that there were some fish they could touch too and learn about too!

TRUST ME! This place is Fantastic. Great exotic corals and fish that are sold for hundreds of dollars on the internet, but they sell it for ridiculously inexpensive prices...really affordable. I know because I bought from the internet and theyre expensive and they come dying. All of their corals and fish are healthy TRUST ME. I bought a lot of them and they opened 6 months ago and I have been there from day one. COLORS ARE RIDICULOUSLY BEAUTIFUL. Im originally from So. Cali. and Ive been in the hobby for over 22 years and Im 35 now. Ive been to wholesalers and fish stores and have seen the most amazing colored corals you wont believe, but once I moved to NC I couldnt find anywhere, which sold exotic beautifully colored corals. They were all the same all over the place and they sold me dying corals at very expensive prices...I wont mention the store, which recently sold me dying corals and they have been for years to me and beginners...Now, Im not an expert at this hobby even though Ive been in this hobby for a very long time, Im still learning a lot about corals, but when corals start dying always stop buying from them and report them to BBB. Now Fintastic doesnt sell dying things, if things go wrong it has to be your water quality, but you know what, Ive been in there and theyre SUPER NICE and they really HELP PEOPLE to get their water quality back on track. They really will I heard them talking to customers multiple times, while I was viewing their coral tank. David, Kevin, and Jeff are the owners, theyre what I call them the 3 Musketeers. Now, I know them by name because like I said Ive been going their from day one and I got hooked. Im sure you will to. They will never force you to buy something, lie, nor sell you anything sick. Just like my first words were to this post TRUST ME! DONT FORGET TO COME BACK TO TERIYAKIN!

I love fantastic! These guys are great! These guys go above and beyond for me every time. They really know their stuff. And I always leave happy with my purchases. I never had any buyers remorse.

We werent even sure this place was open when we pulled up. However, we went inside and checked out all of the fish. The tanks the fish were in were really dirty, red algae everywhere. The fish did not look bright and colorful like what was advertised online. We asked if we could get Live Rock from them, and they didnt know what that was, although they did give us an alternative called Life Rock.

A really cool place, great fish, best prices Ive seen around, and most importantly very nice people!

By far the best store in the triangle and triad area. The staff are competent on their product. The selection is awesome with new coral and fish every week. The sales are unbeatable and they stand by there livestock. If they dont have it in store they will order it and always have met or beat online prices. Im glad to see this place be successful and will be a weekly regular.

Of the three main fish stores that carry saltwater related livestock and supplies this one is my favorite and my goto store. The people that work here are all very involved in the hobby and they treat their customers great. They offer a military discount and have weekly sales. I have always received honest advice even when it means they tell me to buy it online! They have spent many hours answering questions and giving me good advice.

This store is the reason my reef tank is going as well as it is. All the employees/owners are very knowledgable and know me by name now. The selection of corals is great, and the fish selection changes often on a weekly basis. The weekend sales are what keep people coming back as they are great as well. Prices are very reasonable in comparison to other fish stores in the area.I enjoy Fintastic enough that I tend to come over just to hang out and talk with the owners. Very good store.

Not a good experience. Flew in from Cleveland and had time to kill and this place had good ratings. I do this during free time on the road and have coral from all over our country. I was seeking a small mushroom to go with my dime size blue and red. They have a couple small turquoise suitable for my nano reef tank which would have been great. But NFS- how can you own a store and dont sell what a customer came in for. In the future I will call stores first to see if they sell livestock. Duuuhhh

These guys know their stuff!! Overly friendly, full of knowledge about their store, their products, and how all this salt-life interacts with one another. They have quickly become my favorite saltwater store in the triangle area.

Pros: Better than the fishroom and other local fish stores. Honest owner and pretty good prices. Tanks are kept clean, corals are as pest free as you can reasonably expect, no hair algae or aptasia in display tanks. Staff are knowledgeable and will not lie if they dont know something. All the staff are customer oriented, not pushy, and really on top of things.Cons: Inventory is pretty much the same week to week. In the cases where they order new animals for weekly specials, the store only orders one or a few animals at a time so by the time you drive over, many times what you came to buy was already sold out, which happens quite regularly. While the owner is helpful and knowledgeable, he spends most of the time complaining about everything from picking up shipments to other customers. It gets pretty tiring to hear such consistent negativity.Ultimately, I think this store can really do better and and earn itself four or five stars if it were to make some small changes including using a different distributor. Triad reef critters, which I would rate as a 4.5, might be a good local fish store to look to, as their stock is always fresh, their orders are large enough to usually guarantee an item will be available, and their distributors provide animals that are much larger, healthier and in the case of coral, vibrant. Im not sure if this store is just using the same distributor as their sister store, but I would strongly suggest they consider shopping around and looking at other suppliers, as their shipments seem to be the weakest from all the local fish stores Ive visited in NC, SC, and VA.

Ive noticed over the past year that the tone of the store has changed. Before, Dave and the guys wouldnt sell an animal to a customer that didnt have the correct setup or wasnt ready and was pretty upfront about the animals needs and care. Recently, Ive noticed this has dropped off and on multiple occasions Ive seen employees selling animals inappropriately to inexperienced customers that wouldnt know any better. Im used to this at other fish stores in the area, but I really expected better and hope Fintastic changes this practice in the future.

Very good experience at Fintastic. Visited three marine fish and coral shops in Raliegh NC today, and two in Fayetteville yesterday. Fintastic had the cleanest healthiest looking livestock and the best prices. I will definitely be buying my fish and other livestock from them. Well worth the hour drive.

I was not impressed with the selection of fish or equipment. They are more about custom salt water aquariums then anything else. I was in this tiny shop for about 20 minutes and none of the staff even acknowledged my presence.
