This is a hidden gem. The trail head is a short distance from downtown. The information on Google says it is a .25 mile hike from the trail head. I truly believe that is in error. It is all uphill and some pretty big boulders prevented this senior citizen from entering the waterfalls at the end of the trail. (The boulder was just steps away from the falls.) My 12 year old grandson managed this with ease and took some beautiful photos. My grandson said that this was a GREAT little trip.

Nice short hike easy 1/4 mile hike. I did it baby wearing and Im not a hiker. Beautiful waterfall, wish people wouldnt graffiti though and ruin the beauty.

A short uphill hike gets you this beautiful waterfall. Its crowded because its so easy to get to and very family friendly. We saw lots of kids on the trail. Unfortunately, we missed seeing the sign for the upper falls loop which is a little further up the dirt road (left). We did not see many people on that trail.

A short trail leads to beautiful water fall. Water was cold even during summer. Hiking is little up but not very hard to get on . Good spot to take few photos. One of my favorite falls.

I love this hidden gem , the place was so cool. It was out of no where and youd really enjoy. We went to south lake tahoe and it was really crowded so decided to take a detour and it took 45 mins from tahoe. Hike was medium less than a mile uphill. Better walk on sandals as it can get crowded to put shoes away. Go early and have some privacy.

Easy access. Well maintained trail. Upper falls trail is moderate - difficult with 1000ft gain in 1.3 miles. Lower loop is moderate and provides nice views of the valley.

Lovely waterfall, easy hike. Certainly worth checking out if you are in the area.Tame your expectations and you wont be disappointed.

Worth the short hike up the trail. On a hot Nevada day it was cool and moist at the falls and made the trip special. A gem that few discover while traveling.

Very beautiful hike depending on the time of year. Definitely be aware if you’re taking the longer or shorter trail to the waterfall. The aroma of some of the plants is amazing. Quite an enjoyable, and at times, breathtaking (literally!) hike.

The google map said .8 miles to the water fall there are no signs we never found it. If there were signs I think we would have found it. I am from out of state and found it very disappointing.

Easy, shot hike! The trail is about 15 minutes there. Trail is narrow and well maintained. Good for all ages and dogs! Dogs may be off leash as long as they are under control of owner. There are a few trails that branch off from the lower falls trail.

Awesome waterfall and plenty of parking at the trailhead. Only took us about 20 mins to get up there.

Short hike, little elevation. Falls are beautiful, but it wreaks of dog feces all along the trail and even up at the falls. People need to pack out their dogs leftovers.

Short and narrow hike to the waterfall. I recommend taking the loop if you want a better view of the falls. On the short trail once your at the top there isnt much room for good photo op and the trees block the falls. I will be going back and walking the loop. Also please drive slow, you may get to see the deers.

Very peaceful and fun trails! I took my 4 boys today and they enjoyed it very much. Weve never been there so we ended walking around two of the mountains (loop trail I believe) and lets just say we came home and crashed lol. Great experience, will be returning.

Its a well marked trail it goes around in a horse shoe pattern. You can Always see the hole carson valley while your on the trail. The waterfall is heavily shades with a pool you can get in.

My son, my daughter, and I took the waterfall hiking trail up to the falls. It was a warm day, not to strenuous, but needed a rest at the top... The cool breeze coming off of the waterfall was so refreshing! The waterfall, and the rocky stream below, were very nice. Loved the rushing water sound and watching the clear mountain water run over and between the rocks before falling down the brush covered mountainside. It was lovely. There was an upper loop trail, which we did not take on that day, but we will definitely go back and try it soon.

Loved it. Short hike, a few steep switchbacks. Worth the stop.Water was flowing strong. Cool mist once you get to Falls. Must see!

Its close to Carson and the hike is short which makes it easy to get to, which also means that it attracts a crowd that you may or may not want to be around. Theres also some graffiti painted on the rocks that makes it less appealing.

So close to town. Easy trail to the waterfall. Local trail enthusiasts and forest service collaborated to create an additional loop trail (waterfall trail is short spur off this loop trail). It takes hikers up one ridge, back down to creek above waterfall, then up along the opposite ridge and back down the the parking area. Really well laid out trail never gets too steep. About 1.8 miles total. Great views of Carson City and Westside hills. A must-do. Just follow King St west to the parking area.

I am so happy to find a place like this so close to home. Its approximately 0.3 miles of a slight uphill hike to the falls from the parking area, but well worth it. -Regina

This is a great short 0.3 mile hike to the falls from where you park. Theres little elevation climb unless you take the full loop which I highly recommend if you have an hour to kill. There a map sign that shows three trails to chose from.

The single most beautiful place in the Carson Valley area. A very easy hike up to the waterfall itself that anyone should be able to make. There is a also a ~mile loop around the hill that has gorgeous views.

Beautiful, easy 5-10 minute mostly flat hike to get to the main waterfall. There are a few more waterfalls higher up the trails that are still not terribly difficult to get to but the first one is the largest.

Been visiting this waterfall for years. Nice little walk to it if youre looking for a short workout, or there are longer options for the higher waterfall along withother trailheads.

Great for all. All different kinds of trails as far as difficulty. The 1st waterfall is only .3 miles to reach. Then there is a 1 mile hike that goes around the back side of the waterfall. The 2nd waterfall is a little more difficult. Its approx 3 miles of uphill walking. But the whole area is beautiful and well worth the trip. Just a few minutes from Carson City.
