Excellent theater. We hosted a South Indian Barathnatyam dance performance. Seats do not recline, but were very comfortable nonetheless. There were no bad seats. Good view from any spot. Great acoustics. Exit doors at the back were a little creaky. Stage was clean and lighting was spot on (can be a little overwhelmingly bright though). The dressing room was ok. Looked a little run down. Had mirrors running the entire length of the room with a row of incandescent light bulbs above and below. The shower did not have a curtain and all the chairs were creaky. Staff was a pleasure to work with. Polite but also no-nonsense. They took care of us and the attendees very well. Our event was during Covid-19 time and they made sure everyone was wearing a mask and even checked everyones temperature before letting people in. Ushers were everywhere and helped all our guests. Seating capacity was reduced to prevent virus spread. Free parking garage attached to the theater and public outdoor parking was also easy to access. Overall, a great venue!

While I miss the old theatre at the art museum this is a perfect place to inherit the legacy. I have to admit Carmel has done more for venue than could be expected. We saw the elf. Excellent production and this new theatre wraps it perfectly. I grew up at the old theatre and now I am back home to see what this new generation will bring. I am a fan and will be back many times.

Beautiful theater + great show = a wonderful time! Ok, totally honest. This was my first visit to the Booth Tarkington theater, but it wont be my last. This is such a gem in Carmel, dont let another opportunity go by without taking in a show. Double bonus as youll be supporting the community and the arts. Youll have a great time right here in Hamilton County.

Great small venue. The staff is fantastic and very friendly. Nice restrooms. There is another restroom out near the elevators when the restrooms inside get busy.

Here seeing Elf the Musical and it is awesome. The facility is very nice and the production is first class. I highly recommend anything production that is put on here.

Had great seats and enjoyed the opera, The Elixir of Love. After the show, the cast members came out into the lobby in costume to mingle with opera goers and pose for selfies. Very cool!

Great show, well done sets, amazing choreography, breathtaking singing. Very impressed with the new theatre, well kept and clean. Nice and helpful staff.

Having been here for MANY shows, I cant say enough about how great it is! No bad seats, good sight lines, friendly volunteers guiding you all along the way. Cash bar, two sets of restrooms, elevator for handicapped, free parking in structure.....

I took my mom to go see Guys and Dolls at this theater. All I can say is WOW! What an amazing show! Such talent! Go see anything at this place and Im sure you will be amazed! Ive also seen James and the Giant Peach as well as Cat in the Hat. Loved these as well! Parking was easy, the concession stand was fully stocked, the costumes were beautiful and the singing was amazing!

The Cat in the Hat was wonderful. Very cute. I loved it as much as my 6 yr old did and I am not a Dr. Guess fan. There is a parking garage attached to the Tarkington bldg.

Family friendly and teen- accessible interpretation of Shakespeare

Our family had a wonderful time at Cat in the Hat! We are looking forward to Shrek. Our daughters are both six years old. Thanks for putting on a show designed for families that is also entertaining for adults.

Very good acting and nice line-up of shows each season. Itd be nice if they had more than one person working concessions at intermission.

I happened to fall into some free tickets and decided to give this place a shot. The performance was wonderful. The venue is well maintained. The only thing I would complain about is the drink prices.

The staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Every time we have gone, we have had a wonderful experience. The adult and childrens acting groups are all very talented. We were depeoly impressed with the children! They also give those less fortunate opportunities to experience the theater by donating extra tickets to the community. It is a wonderful and welcoming place.

Saw To Kill a Mockingbird performed here and was blown away with how well the room it was in allowed the actors to be heard from just about anywhere in the room comfortably.

Ive never been treated as poorly by your ushers and security person Who escalated a misunderstanding threatening me by calling the police on me using poor judgement Just to flex some authoratative muscle that escalated an minute situation into a hostile confrontation
