Course was in great shape September 2020. Its a difficult course to play the first time due to the many doglegs. You kind of have to know the angles. The on-cart GPS touchscreens can be helpful. Would really like to play it again. Very nice people. The range is small and not long enough for me to hit driver (no big deal). Theres also a practice area with several sand traps and 2 practice greens, but those practice greens are not set up to roll like the greens on the course. Not really the purpose of those, anyway. Looks like the course stays pretty busy. Ill be happy to play again there sometime.

Great course if you enjoy narrow tree lined fairways and deeeeep rough. Bring plenty balls and a ball retriever. Amazing new state of the art clubhouse...easily the nicest in Indiana!

Beautiful, well-kept course. Great GPS tech in the carts. Well-priced too. This course, however, is NOT for beginners... Nor is it for anyone hoping to break out their driver for more than half of the holes. If youre a senior or a more experienced player, you might like it. Just not for me. Giving it lots of bonus points for how nice the facilities are. It might be right for some, but the course design feels difficult and outdated to me.

Course marshals need to do a better job of monitoring slow play. Group of four in front of us on Tues am had 3 holes open in front of them. We had to wait on them every shot.Course is in great shape. I appreciated that they let our twosome have individual carts to comply with social distancing (two club lengths).

Played front 9 on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Greens are in HORRIBLE shape - impossible to putt accurately. Nobody fixes their ball marks. Holes looked like they hadnt been moved for a week - edges were ragged, with lots of foot prints, spike marks, and other blemishes in about a 6-foot radius of the hole. Every putt started bouncing when it got close to the hole.Maintenance is needed! Not a bad deal for the weekday online rate, but definitely not worth the weekend rate!

Carts in by 9:00. Snack bar closes at 7:30. They don’t tell you that the cart is due back at 9:00 pm sharp, even though you paid to play 18, teeing off at 5:50 pm on June 19th...when the sun is out until 10:00pm. Nice course but come on management let the last few groups play.

I could golf for a lot less at a construction site, and not have to contend with any more backhoes, mowers, blowers and anything else that these people have running around the course making as much noise as possible. At many other courses, the maintenance crews will idle if not shut off their equipment when golfers are near, but turning fuel into noise seems to be the prime mission of this place. Very disappointing.

Review №16

Good for the price. Not much in the way of yardage markers so unless you get a cart you may want a rangefinder, and greens were in pretty rough shape. Layout is a bit odd (tee box on three is completely blocked by trees and guides you to hit at 8 fairway, #7 basically requires a 190+ approach). Strangely when I tried to walk on today at 6:55 after work but was told that people are unable to tee off after 6:50 pm. When it’s light until 930/10 pm, that is a very strange rule- especially for a walker who doesn’t need to return a cart- most courses have twilight rates or buy 9 and play as much as you can. Surprised they didn’t want my money. Lastly, while putting, I heard someone managing the cart kids get upset that there were two players that drove onto the range, and he yelled to his staff loud enough for anyone around the clubhouse area to hear that they needed to get out there and “get those guys the f%*k out of the driving range.”Still like the chipping and wedge area- and the course is not bad for the price. Just kind of strange management.

Not a fan. The fairways are all close together. Few holes you can use a driver on. Most dog leg and you cant tell where the greens and fairways are that your supposed to hit. The greens were not in great shape and the bridges are in definite need of repair.

Very rude staff. Rick is the worst. Major theft problems at this course be careful. I left my sunglasses in the cart, called from the car 10 minutes later and they were “already gone”. Seeing from other comments here it makes sense. Course is overpriced for being below average. It’s better to drive the extra miles to purgatory or pebble brook.

This is a wonderful course. Nestled right in the heart of Carmel. It has beautiful elevations dog legs water in a well-manicured fairway. The fees are quite reasonable and the golf cart and GPS system is highly effective. The only thing I would ask is that there is a beverage cart that goes around to help those of us who needs some swing oil while out on the course.

I typically never write a review, but felt compelled after having such a rude/sketchy interaction with the staff.I was in town visiting a buddy and went golfing here and accidentally left my $150 JBL speaker in the golf cart. Now I know this is 100% on me, but I called the next week and spoke to a women (Carol I believe) who told me that she had it (after giving the exact description). She took down my name/number and I told her my buddy would be coming next week to get it.I then called when my buddy was on his way and spoke to Rick who quickly told me he did not have it. Ricks tone right off the bat was short and bad-mannered. He even mentioned they have been having theft issues with their employees. Step one is admitting you have a problem, but how about taking some action, Rick. He then spoke to Carol and said that they picked it up. Considering I gave my name/number to them, I dont know why they would just give it to some random person who walks in. Sounded like an excuse just get rid of me and push the blame. I were a betting man I would say Rick is jamming out to Pink Floyd right now on my speaker as he duffs golf balls into the water. Guess I will just eat the $150 and deduct it on my 2019 tax return under charitables to Rick.Moral of the story - staff is a bunch of kleptos that think the lost and found is theirs for the taking and wont help you out.

Definitely have been going downhill. Use to have a good time there and now with the construction and lack of services its really not the best golf outing experience. Also keep in mind they will not allow carts after rain so if you want to use cart then watch out for the weather. There are way too many courses in Indy to put up with these limits. Maybe after all the renovation is done it will get back in shape, but I dont recommend here unless you just want a quick game rather than an outing.
