Not bad but not the best place because it can feel small during peak times. Great for locals. Only one area for all dogs. Water and dog bags available.

Good size place where all owners can have line of sight on their dog. No lights after dark. Very dusty when dogs run around a lot. Friendly environment with plenty of benches to keep social distancing.

Wear shoes, not sandals. Theres plenty of space to sit down and watch your dog run around and play with the other dogs. There were also probably a little less than 20 dogs when I brought my dog, so your dog should be able to meet lots of friends.

AWFUL PLACE TO BRING YOUR DOG! so many owners bring aggressive and untrained dogs. My puppy was attacked by a giant lab/mix. Whos owner picked up my dog to make his jealous. There was also a man who was bitten during a dog fight and had blood drawn.

Its a nice little park for my dog to play with other dogs and run. Some humans are snooty but thats like any dog park and I dont pay any attention to them. I dont mind the rough housing and horse play (dogs will be dogs), but one of the dogs likes to bully my dog for some reason and the snooty human never does anything, so I finally stepped in one day and told that dog to eff off! (Bully dog isnt shown in the pics).

Place is awesome. Always has been. People complaining on here have no life. Grow up.

Great space. Lots of benches in the shade. All mulch footing. The double gate entry area is large so it doesnt feel cramped. People and dogs have been very friendly.

Dirty small and you can feel the radiation bleeding off the giant high-voltage wires over your head. This is such a weird place for a dog park. Its not really a park, more of a urine soaked cage. Everyone there was very polite, their owners were okay too. It was an interesting experience but I dont think I will be back.

Nice owners, nice dogs. And a beautiful sunset. The wood chips that everyone mentioned actually seem to work quite well for such a heavily trafficked Park. We will be back!

Avoid at all costs... If I could give zero stars I would. I have been called awful names on multiple occasions here from irresponsible dog owners who only put others pups and people at risk. If you take your dog to ANY dog park, you should be able to monitor and control their behavior. If you cant, dont go. Simple as that. My pup who typically loves to play with others is now very skittish around other dogs because of the multiple times hes been bullied or attacked at this park. If youre willing to have your dogs and children around aggressive dogs and equally aggressive owners, this is the place to go.

Great place! Good sized area, all amenities (water, scooper, bags), partial shading, benches and a fantastic mountain view for humans!

We were in and out within ten minutes. Everything is gross, not to mention people telling me horror stories about pets contracting so many diseases. Some owners bring aggressive dogs. I stepped in the middle as my dog was trembling and was almost bitten as well. The owners of the aggressive dogs just laughed. There aren’t separate areas for smaller and larger dogs. All in all, poor quality park. We will continue to drive to Temecula for their dog parks or to Del Mar for the beach.

Small dogs and big dogs have separate area, but during slower times everyone mixes it up! Our Dobby dog had a fantastic time! Parking on the street, could see it being busy during weekends!

Not a fan of the wood chips, but its cheap so I get it. The best time to go is during the week when experienced dog owners go. The weekends are full of amateurs who dont understand dog behaviours. Only reason Im giving a 3 instead of a 4 is because my dog has contracted the dog herpes there twice in the last year and each time I have to quarantine her for 3 months after the cauliflower wart falls off. Most people dont quarantine their dogs properly and spread it around. Its annoying.

Great family dog park. We go all the time. Well maintained, friendly people and puppers, great space, never muddy, and great sunset view with most of Oceanside

This is a decent dog park. Decent location, if you live in or around Carlsbad Village. Decent sized parking lot and decent sized park. Decent mix of people and pups; there are always exceptions, everywhere. Decent number of benches, with and without sun protection. Theres running water and a couple of garbage cans that arent overflowing. The only complaint I have is with the wood chips. Theyre probably cheaper and easier to maintain than grass, but they leave my shoes dirty and my pups paws stinky. In a pinch, I appreciate that its there, but this wont be my go-to.

Nice little DP adjacent to a trail system and a nice view. Patrons were relaxed and friendly too.

This dog park is horrible! The park is small and covered in old wood chips mixed with dirt, poop and urine. After leaving my dog is covered in a fine dust. This has caused eye and ear problesm due to the poop in the dirtTypically there is a roaming group of Huskies that terrorize other dogs. For this reason I would not recommend it for smaller dogs. Overall the park is disappointing for a city that has the ability to create and take care of a quality dog park.

Been bringing my dog here for ten years. Morning people are friendly and generally good about watching after their dogs. Late afternoon crowds can be less so as theyre getting off work and dogs have penned in all day.

Friendly people and dogs in this fenced in dog area. Plenty of room for our puppy to run around. Water was provided for the dogs and there were plenty of benches for the humans.

Great dog park. Although its smaller than some of the other local dog parks, I think its just the right size to actually be able to keep an eye on your dog, and still have plenty of room for them to run around. Most of the people here are nice and responsible pet owners. I have seen some aggressive dogs here, but very rarely. Pro tips: dont fill up the water bowl all the way until its spilling over (especially if your dog likes to swim in it). Nobody wants their dog play in the resulting mud puddle. And last but not least, pick up after your dog! Its pathetic when you see Fido squeezing one out while his owner has her nose buried in her smartphone, completely oblivious. Pay attention! Otherwise, enjoy this great dog park!

Very rude people attend this park, they will blame you for their own dogs actions and try to pick up fights with you for dogs doing natural dog activities such as showing dominance in a nonviolent way. Many dogs, including the dog of an owner who came up to me, were expressing the same behavior. Not even going to mention her dog snapping at other dogs. So unless you want a random stranger cursing you out for nothing, wouldn’t recommend going there. That person handled the situation very immaturely, It doesn’t hurt to ask nicely for me to keep a dog away from another’s dog if you have an issue. Would’ve gladly put him on the leash and left if asked politely and not cursed out immediately without any previous confrontations. Definitely didn’t feel welcome at this public park, my dog is a sweetheart who loves other dogs and it’s a shame it had to be ruined.

This dog park is small but surprisingly nice. The view is amazing and the peoe and dogs we met were all very nice. There are toys that are available for anyone to use. There are also nice benches with shade to keep

This park is perfect for kids of all ages. The whole playground is covered in shock absorbing padding for if the fall off the equipment. Theres also a nice little trail that leads up to a dog park. Will definitely be coming again

I really liked this place even tho my Frenchie was being roughed up for a little bit by the much older and bigger dogs.. I thought it was funny but my Frenchie seemed to be enjoying herself except when they would team up to sniff her lol ...she had fun for her first time being with other dogs

I had a horrible experience. I have a smaller dog and there is only one pen for all dogs. There were very agressive pit pulls and huskies that were getting in dog fights with other dogs. The owners were ignoring them and laughing a out it at one point. Its also all wood chips which blends in with the poop that had been left. My dog wanted out if there asap as she was terrorized.

No separate areas for big or small dogs but it is a nice facility and I love coming here after trying many dog parks. Many owners at other parks let their dogs be Jerks or they bring dogs that should not be around big groups of dogs. So far my experience here has been positive because the dogs and owners have all been responsible and well mannered

I love the dog park I take my dog there Monday through Friday at 8 in the morning the only problem is that a recent change of the gates being locked which is gotten a lot better so I really enjoyed taking my doggie there and if people see this my doggy is Jade and if you know Jade you know shes the playful one

Love this place. Its a gem. Its too bad its so far from us (live in vista). The dogs are mostly big dogs but all are welcome. Ive made friends here. The dogs are so sweet and they recently put up covered benches (I like studying or reading on a slow day).

Kinda small and there isnt a small dog area so my poor chihuahua was surrounded by larger, albeit wry well behaved, dogs. It wouldve been nice to have an area with dogs more his size. Im just concerned that he mightve gotten ran over or stepped on.

I like to go here just about every day if I can. I like that there is always about four or five huskies running around.

We are camping at South Carlsbad State Park and went to this dog park to give my pup a chance to run around. He had a lot of fun running around and chasing tennis balls. The park isnt very big but it is long enough for some good running. The ground is covered in bark dust probably about eight inches deep which is sort of unpleasant to walk on because it is too squishy and I ended up with some pointy bark chips in my shoes.The park has a water fountain with a bowl right at the ground, six and a half foot tall chain link fences (ruins the view, why are they so high?), and lots of tennis balls to play with. Not very pretty but nice to find a truly off leash dog park.The only kicker was that when other dogs began arriving they were rather aggressive and didnt play well with my border terrier who likes to chase and wrestle with other dogs. We probably got unlucky but I do wonder if less aggressive dogs tend to go to dog parks that arent completely enclosed in this area.

Posh people yelling and cussing about my dogs while their dogs were equally crap that afternoon. It happened 2x in a row, not to return. Sensed (or observed these 2x) it had a lot of local peeps w. Power (=money) and used it as sort of a day care, while absorbed on their cell phones or at least used to be always right. Lots of rules posted, which are normally unwritten practices, they used it to blur it to newcomers faces after being ripped of their phones.

I didnt bring my dog, but the dogs there were very cute

There were dogs that were acting unruly towards my dog (humping, fighting) and the owners did nothing. I was trying to leave because the owners were continuing to let their dogs act like that and as I tried to get his leash on and walk him toward the gate, one of the dogs was still humping him. Owners still did absolutely nothing. It was awful. Other people tried to help out, but never the owner. Unacceptable, I will never come back here.

Such a small park, its common for two dogs to not get along. I recently moved to Oceanside. Its so sad that this is the only nearby dog park that I can take my pup to.
