Super thankful theyre open and showing good movies, but tonight it was too warm in theater. No AC... due to cutbacks? Or maybe couldnt afford the bill? We dressed for a cold theater, so it was a bit miserable.Movie and popcorn were great!

The place looks cool but the lady at the front desk was mean for no reason. She was mad heated because I had a skateboard. It’s was late and there was like no one at the theater. She said I couldn’t enter very rudely. Better staff and this place is alright

I love going here! This one is closer to home and is much more nice. I used to go to San Marcos, but prefer this location a lot more. Their seats are super comfortable and recline. I would recommend going early for the best seats or reserving them before. I dont recommend the front row as its too close and will hurt your neck. Also, its right next to the mall which is perfect!

I see why this mall sticks around in the age of the Internet. A fun atmosphere and great variety of stores make for a fun afternoon. Quality knockoff toys are always a plus too!

This is the best of the regal theaters which says a lot about the chain. They are always understaffed and it can take 40+ minutes to get a food order. Guaranteed 20-30 for a simple popcorn and candy. Mind you, youre paying outrageous theater prices for the bad service. These times have gotten worse since they closed the box office and made you buy tickets at concessions. Location is great at the mall and the recliners are nice though. Just plan to be there extremely early or dont get concessions and buy tickets through the app.

The hot dogs we ordered were not good. Staile bread and old,dry and cold winnies. The soda was flat and warm. Pizza was okay but I dont think it was cooked all the way. Besides that, customer service was good and the theater was clean.

My son and I and another couple were the only ones in the theater. They sat at the bottom and we sat at the top, masks on the entire time. My son, Noah and I were stoked to finally be able to eat movie theater popcorn. We soothed r popcorn withdrawls!

Great theater. Plenty of parking, ton of restuarants, great location at the Shoppes mall. Big comfy reclining seats, great goodies and drinks. Nachos and jalapeños my favorite. Employees always super friendly and smiling.

Great place! Nice and clean and open during Covid

No more refills on large popcorn or drinks. No signs that I saw mentioned this and the cashier didnt bother to tell me either. I wouldnt have gotten it had I known. Also, they switched to Pepsi. Yuck. Honestly, for my family, not much reason to go to the movies with these changes.

Thus greater has reclining seats that are very comfortable. Theater was clean and staff was friendly.

As home theater equipment gets better and better, movie theaters are making the movie experience more home like with reclining chairs and menu items far beyond the popcorn and Coke of my youth. The Regal in Carlsbad does this as well as anyone in the area. The seats are comfortable and the snack bar is well stocked with a variety of junk food. To be sure, they have actual meals, but clearly on the junk food side - hey, its a movie theater. Food is acceptable, but if youre coming to the Regal to eat, then you should be reading a review of mental hospitals and not movie theaters.

My favorite. First affordable reclining theater. Am a member and earn free tickets, popcorn, soda, and reduced rate items too. Bring a blanket and curl up. Every holiday, I ask for gift cards for this place. Surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants from high end to fast food, of which theres is fresh to go!

Order your tickets and pick your seats before coming. This theater is at the mall so shows gets fill often. They have very comfortable reclining leather seats, but you will be paying the premium for that comfort.

They have really updated the whole Mall very nicely.The Regal cinemas is very comfortable and clean.The seats recline and are very good.We had a great dinner at the Yard House then the movie.

The seats are disgusting. Its a fairly new theater but the inside really looks run down. Some of the recliner seats are even broken.

One of the best movie theaters in north county! Its definitely a great place, always nice and clean. Popcorn is always fresh with a splash of Coke or Sprite!

Really enjoy going to see movies at the Regal. The seats are comfy and the place is clean. If you havent been to the one in Carlsbad you should go check it out.

Stadium seating, very comfortable, getting reservations guarantees a good seat, popcorn was very fresh, soda was cold, what more could you want? Oh yeah, Knives Out is entertaining!

Very chill a little warmer than usual.

Still a fairly good place for the movies and the recliners have been changed out, so you dont have worn leather or ones that crumble in you hair but the bathroom and concessions areas are still bad. Bathrooms are never clean and the concessions take forever. The lines arent crazy long because please give up and leave. Its like they put the newbie trainees there to cashier. They all have deer in the headlights looks in their eyes and dont really know how to hustle.

Lack Of Employes But Other Than That Its Ok

I had to contact lost and found at this dump... and I stress that.... very dirty. After being transferred several times, the last electronic transfer hung up on me. No person to talk to... not even a message machine. Tried several times over the next few days hoping it was a glitch and they would fix it, but no. I had to return in person. Was told to wait at Guest Services, then waited 11 minutes. The lost item was not a big deal, but I could use my two hours back. Management here does not respect its customers.

Its an OK theater. Not very handicap accessible through. No nearby handicap parking, extremely long walks into the theater and down the long hall, We went through 7 headphone sets for the hard of hearing, trying to find even one that actually worked in theater 8. This caused me to walk back and forth from the customer service booth to one of the farthest theaters, completely missing the first part of the movie. Staff did not offer to come down and assist. I took 2 gentlemen in their upper 80s to see the Ford verses Ferrari movie. We noticed that all of the handicap seating was taken up with young people with small children and strollers, not appearing to be disabled. This caused these gentlemen to struggle up the stairs to the lowest upper seats that were available, even though we purchased our tickets 4 days in advance. This is an ok theater to go if you are in good health with no disability, otherwise I would not recommend this theater for the elderly or disabled

Brand-new seats in the auditoriums! They are very well cushioned although a bit narrower than the previous ones. The Regal 12 is now even .ore convenient than before, since now there are doors that lead directly between there and The Shoppes at Carlsbad.

Probably the most incompetent personnel working. Went with family to by tickets, girl behind glass window rings me up, then hands my card back to me and says sorry it doesn’t work. Calls manager and he walks in the booth then walks out. After standing in line for 20 minutes! You have to be kidding me! I walk over and stood in line another 10 minutes to use the self serve kiosk. Kiosk worked just fine. Took my input, credit card, and money without a hitch. It was probably more personable than the person behind the glass. Only bummer now is the only seats available were so close to the screen, it’s blurry! Literally laying in your back to see anything. Sorry, but customer service is number 1 in my book and this place sucks! Not one interaction from the people that worked here except “sorry it doesn’t work”. At least the kiosk said thanks!

You can pre select and purchase tickets on line, you sit in a recliner, a cute little swivel table attached, beer and wine at the snack bar... !

Love the stadium seating. It’s Good to get your tickets early. Some theatre’s are smaller than others thus there are more seats closer to screen than higher up , unless your good with getting a sore neck.

The mall location is convenient and the lobby and concession stand is clean and modern. However, this is supposed to be an upscale theatre with luxury recliner type theatre seating and the tickets are higher priced than a regular movie theatre so you would expect the theatre itself to be nice. The seats and side table tops were old, very worn and many had tears in the seats.Not what we would consider justification for the higher priced tickets. Their theatre is definitely in need of a facelift.

Great place to see a movie. The seats are comfortable and have the ability to recline to your comfort. There is ample space in each aisle and between each seat to make sure you are always in comfort. The lower amount of seats in each theater help the environment from seeming too stuffy or crowded, even in a full house. Each seat has its own tray so you have the perfect place to keep all of your movie snacks. And speaking of movie snacks, they have quite a few options to satisfy your hunger during your show. Prices are a little high for the tickets but food is reasonable for a movie theater.

It’s 9pm on a Friday night and there’s only two people working here. 20mins line to get food and couldn’t had to buy tickets online because there was no one working the ticket booth

Best movie experience ever! Super comfortable leather recliner seats, food trays and plenty of room in between rows. If you have more than 2 people, its best to purchase tickets early since it is assigned seats.

Great place to lay back & watch a good movie. Wide theater rooms & the snack line is always long on the weekends unless you come on a week day the your okay.

Man so much to say about this movie theater. The employees are always there to welcome you with a smile and the managers are the exact same way if not better. Also they have recliner seats which is nice. Also located in a mall so its much easier to do stuff

Not bad pricing. The chairs recline and has tables! Impressive. 7.1 surround. The parking is a little difficult. And they needed to clean the carpets. But staff was helpful. Good place to watch a movie!

Best times ever

West Field Mall has been getting better. It started with Regal 12. What I like about the theater are the assigned seatings, full range recliners through out, wide isles between rows. Im talking about even with recliners fully extended, people can still walk in the isle without bothering people sitting even a little bit.

Big and open lobby. Cool layout. Centrally located customer service area. Nicely decorated. Comfortable seating. Average friendly service, nothing special.Example, if the projectors goes down you will be moved to another showing or get your money back. No coupons or extra reimbursements for the inconvenience.

We felt it was very inconvenient to have to wait in line at the concession stand to buy our movie tickets, behind people not only buying movie tickets but also buying food. It could easily make you late for the movie.

Numbers are worn off the seats so they hare hard to find in the dark. Some of the seating also need referbishment. Other than that the sound system is good, picture quality is good, the theaters are a comfortable temp.

This Regal Cinema is kept very clean, is ADA accessible and the leather seats recline. I purchased my seat ticket using their app and when I arrived they scanned my ticket and my seat was waiting. It is so nice to be able to reserve your seat before getting to the theater.

Very nice place. Very clean, the recliners are great and cool that you can get alcohol. Also love that the bathrooms arent very far. I always have to go once during a movie and hate having to go all the way to the front.

In need of an upgrade for sure. The seats are worn out and leather rubbed off. The cup holder was gross. Concessions was horrible!!! Ive never had to wait that long!!! Over 20min wait in line!! Seats are fine. I dont like the way they changed the lines for the concession stand. I like one single line. It seems to go quicker. Plus, I always go in the line that takes forever. The womans restroom down the hall near the theatres was closed down.

Its a state of art theater. Big recliners, reserved seats, beer and wine, not great food though, just the regular theater food.

Everything is great. The cleaning needs to be inspected by a supervisor or something. Floors in theaters are sticky and theres still left over spills on some seats. Thankfully not ours. Everything else like the surround sound the video quality the chairs and tables are awesome !

We really enjoy this theater but my review is about an individual. I purchased a digital ticket to Midway for the opening day Friday. I had a family situation pop up and could not attend. I went to the theater with the hope of getting a fund but wasnt too optomistic. That is until I met Assistant Manager Ryan Simpson. He was extremely helpful and swapped my digital ticket for a paper ticket for a show the next day. He would have gladly given me a full fund too. He made this the most painless process that anyone could hope for. He genuinly cared. Thank You Ryan

Nice theater, recliner seating, clean and well staffed. I recommend this movie theater.

Staff are cheerful and the place is spacious. The seats are by reservation and are the kind which recline and have a surface for your concessions.Very cushy and comfy - I feel sometimes like I melt into their chairs.My one complaint is that its not easy to find the entrance. Its tucked close to the mall entrance with a small sign; theres a much larger sign visible from the street, but itll lead you to the back of the building, and the only way around is by climbing over hedges or going through the whole mall.Parking can be a bit tight if you go at peak hours due to sharing with the shops.

I was disappointed that the senior or early bird prices here are so much higher than other theaters. Its beautiful and the seats are very comfortable but not sure if thats enough for me to pay an additional $5.

Great Movie Theater! Clean, inviting and lets not forget the row of restaurants to EAT at with alcohol. But its in a Mall where you can always find more to do, and check out the Dave and Busters my kids love to go after the movies. If they misbehave then no Dave and Busters, lol! Its the best in Carlsbad and Ive been in that 15 mile radius and one again The Best of the Best as Movies and Location....

One of the best theatres in north county San Diego.

This is our closest theater and is very reliable for being clean and friendly. Some of the big chairs are starting to show signs of serious wear, though. Today we saw Lego Movie 2 and the whole family had a great time. I appreciate that in this theater I never hear whats happening next door and the sound system is always on point.

The seats are very old but comfortable

I loved everything about that place except me and my family sat in the second row and my neck was on the verge of breaking. I would strongly recommend rows C-E or 3-5 because it just messed up the movie. Otherwise really great!

I’ve only had to purchase tickets in person here once, and it was a quick and easy process. The lobby is big and open. It doesn’t feel cluttered and overwhelming from so many displays and tables. I can’t say much about the staff because we’ve only had encounters with the younger staff, and I know in first jobs they’re so worried about doing everything correctly that they forget to smile. But no big, they’ve all been courteous and none have made us feel rushed. Love the small theaters, and the seats are so comfy! There are 2-3 rows at the very front and most of the theaters are about 3-4 more rows after that. There is plenty of walkway room, and the lights on the stairs make it easy to see where you’re going. Restrooms are clean and well kept. And there are enough stalls that I’ve never had to wait in line - before, during or after any movie I’ve watched here. Overall, I’d say this is one of my favorite places to relax every once in a while.
