Whether its a live show or a movie, the historic Carlisle Theater is the perfect venue, offering a variety of great entertainment.

Awesome local theater that shows movies I love. Even small films that are hard to find elsewhere. My only problem is that the theater is very broken in. Some of the seats are a little busted up and its not always the cleanest place, but all of this is worth it for the experience and the great people who work there.

Great local theater with interesting films and great community involvement. Price varies from show to show but it is generally very reasonable. It has a beautiful interior and good audio.

Quality movie experience. Picture and sound have been upgraded over the years, and the films are usually pretty interesting. Great local historic resource for Carlisle.

This old theater is beautiful inside, and the decor and architecture add to its vintage appeal. The movies shown here are not first-run movies, but more of a theatrical and artistic appeal (as in arthouse films). There are also classic and educational movies shown as well. Even with 900 seats, it is hard to find a bad one! The theater is run as a non-profit, but that does not mean it doesnt need your patronage. Donations are greatly appreciated. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars to this review is the fact that the screen is not big enough. I guess big screen showings have spoiled me, but the atmosphere here is still enjoyable. Do an internet search for the current movie listings at this theater and treat yourself to a fun night out!

Like most older theaters, the seating is a little snug, but its a great place to watch a show.

Interesting selection of events and movie showings. The building is a beautiful example of architecture. Its a shame it has not been better preserved and maintained.

Went to the Annual Susa concert,it was very nice and a free event.

Great venue. Really well-maintained all around; tasteful and not absurdly ornate decorations. The acoustics were great, at least for the show that I attended. Seating was arranged well, I could see everything in spite of a really tall person sitting in front of me.

We watched Anne of Green Gables and the performance was absolutely beautiful!

An arts deco masterpiece. Grand theater with excellent acoustics and operated by a superb volunteer staff. A Carlisle community jewel to be cherished. Well worth multiple visits for live shows and films.

Had so much fun on Rocky horror night. 10/10 would recommend.

Always great shows! Grew up going to this gorgeous theatre. Glad the town, keeps it alive. Check their calendar often. Some surprising acts and movies. We saw Tusk, a Fleetwood Mac cover band. Awesome show!

The accostic are great. I saw two awesome tribute bands preforming and if I closed my eyes I was in an amplitheate.

Beautiful structure, love the art deco style theater. My husband and I were there to see the West Shore Symphony.

First Symphony I enjoyed very much. Would have stayed for cookies but had things to do Thanks for having me it was a pleasant experience

Charming theater in downtown Carlisle with great film choices and ample seating with good views. The concessions are inexpensive and the volunteers are always kind and helpful. This theater accepts MoviePasses and the line can be long to purchase tickets, so its advisable to arrive early.

I enjoy coming to this theater for movies. Plenty of seating, beautiful building, friendly staff, and the movies are usually critically acclaimed. If you get the chance, watch a film here!
