Love this place for our young children. Highly recommend! Located just off the freeway, it is easy to get to and an enclosed space for the young ones. It also has public bathrooms and a small, covered picnic area.

This is one of the nicest parks in the area. Several pavilions with 2 or 3 of them with a lot of play structures for the kids. A walking-hiking trail. They are in the process of making improvements to the park including ADA improvements lake but its all awesome now.

The park was beautiful. We were there to play disc golf. The course itself is around a 3.5. Kind of hard to find the next hole sometimes. Enjoyable though.

Cape county park is a beautiful place. Trails are very nice. Something for everyone to do.

Nice place to visit and there is plenty of tables and playground equipment for the kids.They do have running water but not all of the bathrooms are unlocked yet.There is a trail but it needs to be cleaned up really bad.

So many things to do, from great hiking trails, to great fishing spots and even great playground equipment

Perfect place to relax and watch sunset

We visited Cape Girardeau County Park North, theres also a Cape Girardeau County Park South, which we didnt have time to explore.We did enjoy our visit to CGCPN, as it has two beautiful lakes, nice picnic pavilions, a ginormous playground which has a fantasy/castle motif, as well as some smaller play areas near the picnic areas. Theres also plenty of wide open spaces. This was a very enjoyable stop for us, and next time we visit Cape Girardeau well check out the south section of the park, which is just down the road a bit.

Took my son fishing and the pond had a thick layer of gas clipping around the pond.

Nice open park. New play equipment. Working on side that we were on. Im sure it will be fantastic soon. Instructions on where to go confusing.

Great place. Love it!

I personally love this park! I took my almost two year old for the first time today and we loved it. Its completely fenced in and has to be opened to enter or leave, which is amazing since kids are so fast. It was very well kept and had stuff for all ages, I would highly recommend it!

Nice well kept park. The disc golf course is very fun and has a lot of interesting holes. The lake is pretty and supposedly its stocked. Conservation center is close by and a fun visit, and one of the nicest playgrounds in cape is here.

This place has paved nature trails

The gorgeous peacocks here, are my familys emotional support animals. We visit them, & feed them, everytime we go to Cape. They are so beautiful.I wish the workers could figure out how to get the eggs to hatch, though.

Grandchildren loved Melinas playground.on a hot sunny day the adults had lots of shady seating options. The playground equipment is unique and fun for the children. It was clean and well kept including restrooms

Just like all parks in Missouri this park is beautiful and above any standard for parks, be it city, state, or fed. Point is if youre ever in Cape Girardeau County Parks are worth the stop, worth the visit. Put down the cell phone, pack a lunch and enjoy nature.

The nature center, Melinas Magical Playland, disc golf, pavilions, trails, fishing, several other playgrounds, hiking, and the lists go on believe it or not, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!!! Start at the Nature Center and play your way to fun!

Very nice large clean well kept park it has two ponds for fishing one for kids only i love that also theres an awesome play area for kids the bathrooms were clean and stocked with all essentials needed they have a trail to explore covered picnic area theres also a walking path around the large pond

This is a very neat & clean park to picnic at for larger groups. Also, has a nice walking trail, licensed fishing & great playgrounds for children.

Nice displays, although some of the other drivers were acting childish. All the usual suspects are represented, catholic charities, memorial displays are particularly heartwarming. We enjoy taking our son to see the fabulously lit displays!

Shelter #4 was perfect for festivities wuth beautiful view of the park.

Exclusive area for the younger children to fish that give them a better chance at guaranteed results.

Great place to take your family for walking, activities and education. Conservation is of the utmost importance and my kids love coming here.

This place suuuuuucked. Hills everywhere and trees!? Everywhere trees!? Within minutes I was asking myself what is this place!?By the above star rating youve probably surmised by now that Im joking and have only positive things to say about this park. Its the baby bears porridge, its juuuuuust right.

Awesome stuff for 2+ years old.

Nice park. Actually attended the October fishing rodeo but have enjoyed the Conservation area on other side. Room for kids to play, walk, and/or fish. People can also bring dogs. Different/separate areas for parties as well.

Excellent park and clean. There is fish in that pond we caught 2 big catfish but released them back into pond

Yall dont monitor this park enough considering its litterally right next to the conservation hq. Saw a dude skinnin out bass that were bout 7- 10 inchs long in a cooler for about 2 hours. And just throwing back the skinned out fish.

This park has two sides- North and South. Each has multiple playgrounds and pavilions, different walking trails through the park and the surrounding forest, and a small lake in the center. It is great for a quiet place to walk and talk as well as for large gatherings. Cape County Park - North also has a playground specially designed for handicapped children.

I am impressed with the 2 parks ( north and south). However I wish there were more bathroom facilities on the north side of the park like the south side of the park.

Went to take my grandson yo see Christmas displays. Didnt seem like as many displays as in past. A couple were spectacular but I was very disappointed that most were so low to the ground that my grandson couldnt see them, even in his car seat.

Provided fishing poles and bait for our 3 year old. Everyone was nice and helpful.

The military recognition in this park is superb.

Kids love going to the park. Wish they would make it a bit bigger but it is a amazing. I even seen parents go in there with the kids and to play with them. I love that extra attribute about that park.

Beautiful, clean park!

I love how the playground is padded and has a gate around it with only two gates makes me feel safer for my autistic daughter to play without worry of he getting away from us or running into the road. It also makes me feel the kids are over all safer

Wonderful outdoor activities for all ages and skill/endurance levels! Lots of educational material made interesting to learn.

I fish there almost everyday. There are big bass in the lakes. I caught a 2.5 pounder yesterday. Big bluegill and sunfish... Of course I let them go so other can enjoy...

Kids pond for 15u is good for catfish. Malainas Magical Playland on the north end is a good play area for younger kids.

A beautiful park located around a very well kept lake. There are many different play structures here as well as walking and biking paths, and even a disk golf course.

Growing up it was the best local park for school outings could use some modernization

Pretty standard park. Nice to visit. Make sure to stop by during Christmas when all of the displays are up.

Always maintained. The playground is outstanding. The nature center and walking trails are always wonderful. Certainly a cut above most parks in Cape.

Melainas playland is located at the edge closest to the highway. If you are taking a long drive, consider stopping here as a pitstop. It is an all-accessible playground and has a full restroom with changing table. The park also contains a Nature Center run by the Mo. Department of Conservation.

Wonderful place for peace and quiet. Walking, playing, fishing......doesnt matter
