Older resort style hotel. Guest suites are fully furnished with complete kitchens. Basically a one bedroom apartment. Kitchen is furnished with everything you need to prepare and serve a meal. Very quiet neighborhood. Swimming pool is open until dusk. Sits on a canal, and they have put in a very pretty beach and patio area. There is large grill for guest use. White sand beach and coconut palms reminded me of my years living in Hawaii.

My wife and I have stayed here twice. The accommodations are old Florida and I feel at home here. It has a great location in Cape Coral. The pool is nice and warm. There is a canal you can hang out on under an umbrella. Out back on the canal there is nice sand and BBQ facilities. The staff is great and accommodating. The staff has always been helpful. If you like old Florida this is it.

This place is ok, nothing to brag about, it is more of a motel I would say. I didnt have much interaction with the manager during my 2 day stay, but I was disappointed by the fact that the pool looked dirty do to the old finishing, probably should be redone it would be more appealing to use. The morning I was leaving 2 women were trying to gain access to the pool, around 9:30 am to 10 oclock and could not get the gate open. It turned out to be a magnetic lock, and we working together could not open it, besides the sign by the gate, that did not give a time when the use of the pool was posted. I always thought it was dawn to dusk, which is usually the case. I mentioned that to the manager, stating what occurred with myself and the 2 women trying to access the pool and he smirked and kind of blew me off. Not the attitude you would expect or appreciate. The rating it received on Hotels.com is not deserved and should be lower in my opinion maybe a (6) and thats being kind. Tony S.

We were really disappointed with our stay at this “resort.” It was very old and outdated. The guy that checked us in was very friendly. However, the rest was far from what we expected. This resort looks nothing like the photos posted. We went to publix and bought stuff to grill while we fished on the deck. The grill didn’t work and the campfire was all grown up with weeds and grass. We ended up cooking the food in our room. There was dishes provided. However, only one fork in the room. So we had to go back to the store to get things to eat with. There was a group of teenagers out on the deck the entire time we were out fishing talking about smoking weed while smoking and drinking on the deck. I would not pay over $50 for this hotel. I’m glad I got my reward discount, but I definitely won’t be going back.

So we stayed the night recently. The place is easy to find but not right next to the main road so dont hear cars all night which was great. The suit is good sized. More or less a good sized one bedroom apartment. Full sized fridge, very clean, nicely laid out, and a good bit to do on property all in a very laid back environment. I only give three star because if I have a reservation and check in is 3pm my room should be ready when I show up at 4PM. Also some Maintenance issues need it addressed in the Room. I would have loved to have quenching this to somebody upon check out but theres nobody to mention it to. When we stay again probably but not our first pick.

Room unclean when we checked in, we walked into room and it was clearly not cleaned had used towels and other stuff in it. Then at 11pm another guest used a key and walked in our room, they were also given a key to our room which was apparently also their room. Seems like this spot booked and checked in two guests for the same room, so we left and went to another hotel. The manager was gracious, handled the situation quickly, and offered us a refund so that was greatly appreciated. I think it was handled as well as it could, but I still cant give this place a good review.

Horrible location. Not even a real hotel. More like an old apartment complex that they rent rooms out of. When I arrived, they would not honor expedia pricing without downgrading the room. Booked a standard room and was continually tried to ve convinced that i booked an economy room even though I showed them my itinerary. They are also not handicap friendly. They only have stairs and require you to pay an additional up charge to get a room in the first floor. Had to cancel my reservation and book somewhere else after driving 2 hours to get there.

We were so pleasantly surprised by this place! It has so much to offer - a clean, beautiful pool, large outdoor deck on the water with tables/chairs and a propane grill to use! There are fishing poles available for use, too! The room was adorable - loved the beachy decor. The kitchen was nice and had glasses and dishes in the cupboards. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets/comforter were bright white & clean! There was free wifi, but it was just a little weak. The tv had cable and worked ok, with a couple of times that it cut out. The bathroom was very clean. My only real issue was the ceiling fan that didnt shut off. Just needed a little maintenance. The property is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. I would highly recommend staying here if youd like a small, personal experience with all the beauty of the area!

My husband and I just returned from the Ranch today and LOVED it. We stayed in cabin 2. It was a cozy cabin with all the amenities described in its description. Posturpedic bed, Roku TV ready and claw bath tub to relax in. Coffee maker with complimentary coffee, tea and creamer. It did not have any spices or anything like that so if you want spices you need to bring them. The cabin was about 100 feet to the Lake. Long horns and steers pasture right next to you and no it did not smell . A great view from the porch over looking the lake or the pasture. Pete the owner, very friendly and asked us several times if we were comfortable or needed anything. A great place for families or couples. Cannot wait to return.

My husband and I, and our dogs just stayed at the Hideaway for 5 weeks while waiting for our house to close. We didnt have any reservations or have any idea how long we would actually be there but the staff and owners were so helpful and accommodating. We ended up staying in 3 different rooms over the course of our stay, and every room was different and with its own quirks. We enjoyed that each room had a full sized fridge and kitchenette, stocked with pans and dishes. The dock along the canal behind the hotel really was an oasis (and I even saw a dolphin on our last night there!) We didnt use the pool but saw many people enjoying it every day. All in all, Im glad they were there for us and any other hotel would have been a drag to stay at for so long!

Horrible communication. Reserved 3 rooms for 7 days. Gave card # to hold reservations. Husband called back a couple weeks later to speak with the owners and was told they couldnt reserve that many rooms for that many days at once so they had booked our held rooms to someone else without informing us. I cant understand that logic because either way theyre making the same amount of money. If we hadnt called, we would have been driving 1200 miles just to get there with no place to stay. If youre looking for reliability, dont look here.

We picked this place for its wonderful reviews. They must have been authored either by relatives or friends of the owners or they paid a fair price for a nights stay, which would be around $30. We paid almost $100, amount for which we could have stayed in better, nicer and much newer places nearby, particularly one a few blocks north on Del Prado Blvd. No sooner had we stepped in the room and my husband removed his sandals, that the sole of his feet were black as coal. The sheets were like tissue, the bed was lumpy, the TV set is too small, the air conditioning unit is noisy, the fan barely works, the bathroom is the size of a postage stamp, the showerhead is a joke, the faucet needs replacement. Get the picture? There has been some remodeling done but this place needs a good tear down and rebuilding. When it is obvious the floor hadnt been cleaned since the place was built, what, in the 50s? they warn you that you will be charged a minimum of $15 if you use and not wash the supplied dishware or cookware. Plus, they leave you an envelope for housekeeping. It wasnt large enough to fit a piece of my mind! If you like to be ripped off, pay more than $30 for this cozy place. Otherwise, take your stay elsewhere. The only good thing about it was that we spent there only one night.

If you are after character then it could be for you.The suites have plenty of space with a separate bedroom, lounge and kitchen. The ground floor rooms were a little dark but who is going to spend all day inside anyway.Nice deck overlooking the water that we didnt really use.The other side of the property is the pool which we did enjoy using. Nice that there is a basket of swimming towels provided.Quite disappointed on arrival to find that the kayaks that had been on the website (which were the reason for choosing the hotel) were no longer available.Having said that we kayaked out of Matlacha as a replacement which proved to be a very different and great experience.Room 104 I have to say was pretty noisy.
