This is a beautiful place to disconnect from your daily activities. The place has many things to offer. It has beautiful apartments with nice decor. The bathrooms are spacious. Kitchen is fully equipped. This is a very secured placed. It has several pools with a heating pool, arcade, miniature golf course for the family, a small conviene store. This is close to Canyon Lake and Brazos river. This is a great place for a quick family getaway.

Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. From the front desk to the grill. The cookie decorating is $15 per person. We thought that was a bit much but whatever they had many other awesome amenities. The putt-putt is free and the Autumn/Halloween decor is PHENOMENAL!! The course was challenging but super fun for all ages. I will say there are elevation changes with a couple of steep declines. We enjoyed it but just something to keep in mind. The pumpkin bowling and shuffle board was fun too. The resort does call every morning to push their timeshare event. Didn’t bother us.They lose a star with us because of room cleanliness. The door knobs, light switches, door casing and chair rails were visibly dirty and gross. I was surprised because they claim extra cleaning due to COVID. I went out and bought bleach and soap to clean our room. Also the big pool by us was closed due to maintenance but the pool in front was big, nice and spacious. We had to cross a busy road to get there.

This is a big property with a lot of fun stuff to offer. My kids loved the pool and mini golf. The only down side was after checking in (which took 45 minutes) we drive to our room (which we had to drive down the street to) and our key didn’t work! They fixed it and were nice, but it sucked after a long process to have to drive back to the lobby building. The main pool had fun music, jacuzzi and a bar with food service. It was a great value. Just be aware- they might offer you “oh, it’s your first time, we will give You discount tickets to fun places” — but they want to make you go to a timeshare presentation.

Stayed at a 1bed villa, very comfortable room, no problems with staff they were very polite and helpful. 4 stars because we were allocated very far from restaurant/main pool/ reception, made it hard whenever we wanted to go there. Restaurant could use an upgrade with more options and watch out for them charging your card the wrong amount. Had to complain about this twice. Besides this it was a lovely weekend, participated in the sunset dinner hosted by the activity group and really loved it.

The customer service is great and all the staff is very friendly. This is a great spot to visit with the family. Grass cut pools clean hot tub game room food all you need is here. We are here not with our 4 girls and they are having a ball. We encounter a problem however. Our room was not that clean and water drip all night with broken tub handle. Our mirror was stained and tub was half clean. We made a call to the front desk and 5-6 hours later they fixed all problems. I hated my girls had to see the bad part but we will be back.

Stayed in a 3br Ambassador. Terrible customer service. As an owner, I expect better. First off, our unit was dirty with several issues including a plumbing issue. SHEILA was terrible to deal with. We talked with her for over an hour as she explained to us why we should do a 4th quarter update. Due to an exemption, my wife and I do not wear masks and we did not while talking to her either. We were refused an update and turned away by rude staff such as LAYLA and then spoke to LINDA who was the manager. She asked why we weren’t at our update and was quite rude to my wife. We wasted over an hour. We asked to speak with the GM or Assistant Manager several times and that never happened. Jeffrey and Desire attempted to help us, but we never got answers. Our unit shouldn’t have even been available for use based on the dust and dirtiness of the unit. We enjoyed the resort, however, some updates are needed throughout the resort. The main pool was heated, but had heating issues the first few days. That was finally fixed. They need to make the ambassador and presidential pool heated.**** UPDATE 11/22 I have not heard back from the resort management. I am quite disappointed by this. I am going to guess the RESORT MANAGER does not see these reviews.

We waited over 2 hours to get booked in our rooms. I booked 2 room and asked if they could be next to each other and they put one room in building 1 and another room in building 2. I had my grandkids with me and we where having to walk over to each others building for different things which took a lot of our time up. There was not enough towels for our stay and to be told that we need to wash them was another waste of our time there. One of the rooms did not have bedding for the fold out bed, we called right away and didnt get them till the next day. I was charged $34 for a alcohol drink a kids drink and pickle. I think someone must of put a good tip on there.

We rented 2 lodge units with the government rate. We were upgraded at checkin to presidential villas which were wonderful. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and included a washer/dryer we loved. The only negatives were there were a few dirty utensils with coffee stains out back into the drawer and the bathroom faucet leaked. . The pools were well maintained and social distancing was enforced. We were able to use the tennis courts by taking our own tennis gear. We enjoyed a long 3 night stay/weekend. we will return.

I didnt like that I couldnt bring my own drinks to the pool they stated due to the corona which doesnt seem logical to me- since they still are willing to serve you from their bar area in disposable cups which people left out as trash around the area....overall its a nice place but for the price I would of expected nicer pools and accommodations.

We went there as a guest of a friend . The friend staff was nice and they provided us a room with good view. But the room was not clean, they claimed that they sanitize entire area before stay. There were stains in the toilet and they claimed it is the stains of hard water which is not believable. The temperature dropped to 39 and we were freezing inside for 4 hrs with small kids. In addition to the stay we have to pay extra for every activities and room service. We ordered bbq from grill and it was so bad, they said they will refund it and havent received it yet. I even notified the corporate office via their instapage about the service and response yet.

The suites were a little worn and dated but very well appointed. Very spacious. We had a 3 bedroom villa and it was great for our family. I wish all the pools were open longer. I would like to take my grandkids to the pool early. And the pool at our complex closed at 7. Too early. We were lacking enough bedding for all our guests so we called. It took over 90 minutes to get sheets for a pull out bed and when we opened the package, it was just pillows. I called again in the morning and told them and waited another 70 minutes for more linen. I liked that we could get snacks and drinks at poolside but that meant that we couldnt even bring in our own water. Or ANY of our own snacks.

Too loud and confusing. Also this was our first stay and the directions to our unit were no helpful at all. We did not know that the property crosses a street. There was nothing in the packet about pool hours and the signs were confusing. The sign had the 10pm closing time and the pool was closed at approximately 6:30-7pm. The lighting in the bath/shower/toilet areas are aweful...way too dim for people with vision deficits like me.

Check-in took a while for staff to find a clean room (5:30pm, check-in was at 4pm). Staff asked if I wanted to drive to room to check and see if it was clean (shouldn’t be my job). Previous occupant’s dirty laundry and trash (3 huge bagfuls) sat at our door until I called the next day to have them removed. Other than the shower not working and the rooms not fully cleaned we had a great stay and had plenty of room. Only one night did I have to park in another lot and walk to our building because our parking lot was full. Street lights or other lighting would have been nice.

The facility was in great condition of the views are amazing. As a business traveler I feel that because of this there are small details that would make this a five-star resort. Power washing the walkways and outside balconies would add to the beauty of the facilities themselves. Working on updating or increasing the Wi-Fi signal in the guest rooms would be helpful for business travelers. The landscaping is not poor but with small detailed updates could add to an already beautiful location. It is a beautiful place and we will return again soon.

We called at 6pm and they said sure someone would be there to deliver it. At 9pm, still nothing. Called and they said sorry they gave them to a guy on a balcony hours ago (we didn’t have a balcony). Now housekeeping wasn’t there, so they’d call the maintenance guy to deliver. At 10:45, still nothing and our kids needed to get to sleep. Called and they said “oh sorry we will get them to you in 15 minutes.”Someone knocked, left the bedding at the door, and ran off at 11:55pm. They said check in was at 4pm but they would put in a call to housekeeping and get the room ready. Well they called right at 4. The room was ok. Liked the space. The bathroom shower was full of mold on the ceiling. The shower head wasn’t even straight. The company trying to sell us an ownership but not even wooing the customer. We ended up going to big bend national park the day before we left. Ended up staying at another location that night. We were almost 6-7 hours away and called twice to see if the checkout time could be after 10am. So we wouldn’t have to get up so early to make the drive back. We called and they said they would extend the checkout time. We called again and they still said ok. We get back to the room to get our stuff and they have already locked the room and canceled our keys. Not real happy.

Our stays for the most part are always fine. If there are any maintenance issues they are usually resolved quickly. We have owned for about 20 years and have enjoyed most of our vacations. But since Holiday Inn Club Vacations have taken over we have lost endless escapes and free bonus time. Every time we do an owner update. Which is just an opportunity for them to sell us things that we already own things are being taken away. The point system is good but when you already have so much invested you just do not want to put out anymore. Did not appreciate Kristen keeping on questioning us after we had said no and Julie said okay sign them out. She (Kristen) knew upfront that we werent interested. Even after we said no she kept trying to debate the issue. I had to actually get mad and rude because she wouldnt take no for an answere and let us leave.. I do not appreciate this treatment. Brought my family here for vacation, and was VERY glad we chose this area!!!The resort has a great view of the lake (especially from the pool!). I especially liked the fact that the pool is treated with chlorine (or something similar), instead of a saltwater pool. The resort restaurant offers poolside and room service options, which is a nice touch. There are plenty of things to do, but COVID-19 has most options that require equipment available IF you bring your own equipment. The exception was miniature golf. Once COVID restrictions are lifted, I am sure these will be available again. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Also, the Canyon Lake area has quite a few restaurants and a grocery store within a very short drive. If you want to venture out for more options, New Braunfels and San Antonio are close enough to visit, but far enough away that the hassle isnt part of daily routine.

I’d give them a 0 if I could. I LOVE this location. I have stayed here before and enjoyed it but, the service I received this trip was ABSOLUTELY horrific!!!It was completely screwed up.They first moved me (the owner) to a small 2 bedroom, so far away from everything even when I told them I was handicapped and had a hard time walking far and climbing stairs. My son came in days later and they placed him and his family as far way from me as possible and on the 4th floor. A climb that was very painful to me. All this AFTER we wasted our time because they gave us the wrong building number that was in a totally different section of the complex. They were completely confused by where our correct room was. Or at least pretended to be. After talking to several other owner they had received the same treatment. I asked if they went to the owners meeting. All that decided not to attend the meeting were treated very poorly. This is an unexceptional way to treat people that have put money into Holiday Inn! I own 2 different timeshares with holiday inn plus extra points. I should not be railroaded into going to a timeshare meeting when I already am a Premium owner. I am so disappointed. You wasted my time with my family and put me in pain just because i didn’t attend a meeting. And if you feel that’s not the reason then please explain to the owners that were treated so poorly this weekend what the problem was and what you’re going to do to make it right for us!

The shower door was dirty, rusty etc. I felt so dirty showering in it.Our bed had a dead fly stuck to the bed sheet and some of the pillow cases had small stains. When I lift up the bed sheet I saw a small aunt crawling... thankfully I had my febreeze and my sanitizer and sprayed all over. I did not inform the staff because we were so tired from all the driving and it was super late at night. These rooms are very dated and need to be properly cleaned and be renewed from the interior. The area was very calm and safe I don’t have complains about that. The new bar at the pool area was so fun! Carla kept us in refreshing fruit snacks all afternoon and Ryan shared his mixology talents with us. He even recreated my favorite drink from our honeymoon in Jamaica! The staff made this such an enjoyable week!

I had a wonderful time staying at Holiday Inn Club Resort. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about things offered at the resort, as well as, surrounding attractions. The room was clean and was fully furnished with utensils and dishes and everything needed for a temporary home! I would gladly stay here again.

We were really pleased with our stay but due to the Covid19 restrictions, nothing was open so the kids had nothing to do. When I was contacted the night before my stay, I was informed that everything was open. This was only a mere inconvenience but I understand the reason. Our room was upgraded to the presidential suite and I thank you for this. We found things for kids to do so overall stay gets a 5/5.

I like the property, but every time we check in there is some type of problem. This time was when we checked in we were told we still owed for one night though we payed online for both nights. )Come to find out the after we checked in the web site at first charged us for both nights and then refunded one night.) When I asked why we were being charged again at check in, the gentleman who came to help the representative we first spoke to was rude and acted like we were trying to scam them. I had no problem paying to stay, but at this time I though we had already payed as per the conformation email.Since Holiday Inn took over Silverleaf I have never had good customer service at check ins.

This is great for families. It was just my husband and I. We didnt need all the bells & whistles. Parking was so also an issue. Be prepared to spend 30 minutes to check in.

Rooms are great. Amenities are great. Checkin process is a nightmare. Waited 45 minutes to check in. This is after I did the phone check in. The staff at the desk were bad. Lady asked me where I was from 3 times.

We had a nice relaxing time last week at the Hill County Resort. We spent our evenings relaxing at the Ambassador pool. Wanted to give Caleb a shout out for providing excellent service while at the pool.

The Ambassor Suites were amazing! Very roomy. The surrounding views were also nice. Is an easy drive to San Antonio or Austin for sight-seeing and you can go tubing right down the street. My only suggestion is that they should probably start updating the furniture in the units. The living room furniture is all out-dated and worn down.

We stayed her during our sons Soccer tournament and the room was great, customer service was very friendly. We didnt get to use some of the property because it was rainy. The beds werr comfortable and the teenage boys did not complain about the fold out couch. The kitchen was decently stocked. My only conplaints were the shower curtain would not close in the master bathroom, and the knives were very dull

This place is a disaster!!!!! Started out as 1 star update to 3 because of the attempt to help fix the reservation and especially the friendly service of Jian Luca.Wasnt informed until check-in that the pool for the space we were in was closed. (They knew for 2 weeks before and never mentioned when they call to confirm reservation 2 days before) also was told that i was going to get one of the best rooms with a great view because im a platinum rewards member and it is my birthday ( my view is of a few grills and surrounding dirt.) We have 8 guests trying to find where we are staying because were put in a space thats down the road from check-in, the main pool, and any other activities we want to try while here. The lady at the front desk said for the inconvenience they knew about and didnt mention she could do something to take care of me. What she did for me was set me up with a vip space at the next pool over (since the close poll area was closed) but in order to get that gift she had to sign me up for 2 hour seminar on time share. So now i have to waste time on my birthday vacation with frinds to sit in a time share seminar that i know i dont want all so i can use a pool for my vacation with 8 other people that i planned months ago. After all of this i changed rooms from ambassador to presidential thanks the Jeffrey and it is such a better room then the last. Eventhough the fridge broke i am much happier ( linda was no help and very very rude to me for no reason when i actually was told i had pay out of pocket for my vip gift and so i tried to get reimbursed in cash after my meeting the next day whichshe just wantedto give me resort credit) Chris came to talk to me about my experience and he asked me what he could do but how am i supposed to know whst he could offer me to fix the problem created by linda. So i asked him what he could do and he actually did nothing as far as i know. Joan did my presentation and was very amazing with it i just wish i couldve upgraded with her. However the pastries offered during the meeting were molding so be aware of those.
