Excellent view and place to enjoy a meal.

This marina has made me and my family feel right at home! Every weekend I see the same smiling faces and they always greet me at the door. They have become an extension of our family. I am so proud to have my boat parked at this place. Like every business, its all about your people! Don King has done a great job keeping this place clean and safe. Mike in the shop is a great guy and their repairs are always done right the first time. The staff in the General store are the best ever and I look forward to seeing their new facility coming soon

Rented a pontoon October 9th... Absolutely the best experience we could have asked for. My large family with a diverse range of age groups was accommodated and taken care of above and beyond. Genuinely appreciate what all the staff did for us. Thank you!!!

We are in from out of town visiting family.With so many businesses closed during these times we were happy to hear that the marina was open. Everyone was super nice and even filled up our tube for us.Now here is where the business shined...Almost immediately after pulling out of the marina we started experiencing a high pitched noise.We were able to trouble shoot over the phone and decided to head back in. Turned out to be low oil.They had a new boat ready for right then and when we were leaving they surprised us with double our down time for a future visit!Lastly, our child forgot some of her stuff in the 1st boat and they had that for us also.Thank you Wes and R.T.!The Copelands from Atlanta

We were able to reserve the pontoon the day before and that was great. Our reservation was from 3-5 but we didnt get on the boat and out until 3:30 and when we asked if we got an extra 30 minutes because of that, they said we would get a credit for the next rental but this was a family trip and had no plans of coming back anytime soon. Before we left, they advised us to be careful not to get the anchor caught up but when we stopped to drop the anchor my son let it go and it sank to the bottom. It was not tied to the boat so we ended up having to pay an extra $130 for it which we felt was a scam. This was our 1st time ever on a boat and felt like they hustled us for that anchor and the time we paid for.

Reading all the good reviews we decided to rent a pontoon from these folks and do some tubing. The boys getting the boats ready, assisting in instruction, etc were great. We rented the larger 25 pontoon in order to pull a tube and paid extra for a tube. When we arrived we were informed that due to the Covid restrictions they couldnt rent us a tube....had we brought our own they could blow up and tie on for us to use. Nice to know after the fact considering this was the whole reason to rented a boat. They informed us they would credit us for the tube and due to the strict times we didnt delve further and would figure out later. We are only talking $25 or so...although I might add that the whole reason we rented and paid for the larger boat was strictly to pull a tube.Almost one month later and several phone messages we still dont have our credit. Keep in mind we are talking $25. Did not want to squabble over paying for the larger boat. We had a good time and the boat was nice. It is the principal......$25. Sad and horrible business considering the reputation they had prior. Perhaps new people in charge? Either way....beware of business practices for them and dont leave if you have money coming to you until you have it.

My son was stranded on our boat (bad impeller) and they responded very quickly and towed him back! Grateful for the quick response and amazing service!

We dont have our boat here, we use JBSAs marina. We do use the Canyon Lake marina for gas and parking when we go to The Baja BBQ Shack. At Canyon Lake this is hands down the best facility. They just updated all of their slips, the gas is reasonably priced and they really take care of the place. If we couldnt have a slip at JBSA we would be here.

Rented A pontoon boat for the second time two of them .they fail to ask us if we needed a anchor we made it halfway out 30 minutes out took about another 20 to 35 minutes looking for the anchor on the boats once we realize we didn’t have one we had to go back . I asked him why don’t these boats come with an anchors they said you have to request them who would think about requesting an anchor when you’re renting a boat that should be already on the boat.. They’re full of excuses..So we drive back and the anchor did not want to anchor the anchor seem to be a little bit too small for the boat also defective we spent another three hours trying to anchor it...Horrible customer service and horrible equipmentNot to mention a lot of people that worked on the outside There not real attentive.My brother-in-law saved a little girl’s life because nobody there was paying attention to this little girl he had to jump in and save her when he jumped in she was 2 feet in the water when he got her outStill no staff to be found.. Poor safety around the docks so please watch your kids..

Never again!We normally rent from a different place but since Canyon Lake Marina had a better price, we thought we would give them a shot.It was my sons birthday and he really wanted to go tubing. So a month in advance, we rented the 22’ pontoon and added a tube rental. I just happened to notice on their website they they weren’t allowed to rent tubes per Covid orders from Gov Abbot, however they gladly charged me for a tube rental. After I realized that I called to ask about it two different times and they told me they would have tow ropes available if we brought our own tube. (Never bothered to confirm our reservation). So we purchase a tube and go to the marina the day of our reservation and they informed me that our reservation had been canceled. I showed them my confirmation email and told them I did not cancel it. So they ‘upgraded’ us to the double decker with a slide which was a nice gesture, except we weren’t able to tube, which was the whole purpose of the trip. He also told me I had to come in 30 minutes earlier, giving us less time. I told them that didn’t sound right and he wouldn’t even look up at me, all he said was he could give us a voucher for more time another day. But of course he didn’t.Then as we were pulling into the marina right at the time he told me to we got a voicemail from them saying we were 20 minutes late.Not to mention we had an issue with the boat while we were out and I called the office several times but no answer.We planned our whole trip around this and they really messed things up. No one has any clue what was going on and the manager or whoever he was was extremely rude. I will say the young men in the red shirts were very polite.

The old man that was supposed to be guiding us in from a 4 hour trip started yelling at me when I was trying to drive it in. I was going very slow as to not hit anything and totally in control, but the wind pushed us in. I felt everything was fine until he and another older lady showed up and started yelling at me that I was going to crash JESUS CHRIST JESUS CHRIST. There was no reason for him to yell at me multiple times to get out of the drivers seat multiple times, we were already docked. I cannot believe the disrespect and unnecessary yelling this older man handled himself in a terrifying manner in front of my entire family and made my 11 year old sister cry. My wife had to tell him to calm down and take a breather and the younger boat handler kept telling him the boat was fine to calm down the propellers looked fine. It was a horrible way to end a great day on the water with my family.

Great place to see the lake, get a meal or just hang out on their large deck and outdoor bar overlooking the boats.It is an excellent place to meet and if your timing is right watch sunset over the lake.Lots of free parking and there is a small playground for the kids with amazing views from there too.Go there you will not be disappointed and they do rent all manner of boats at this location.

Reserved a two man towable tube w our boat. Upon arrival neither boat or tube was ready. Boat then arrived w/o a tube so they ran to get one. It wasn’t very inflated when it arrived and by the time we got out on the lake it was completely flat. Informed the dock staff upon return and they said thanks for letting them know. No offer of a refund ever given. Should be zero stars but the boat itself was good. Other than waiting on it and being shorted 40mins on our reservation which they said I could get a credit for on my next rental. They said the same thing the last time as well...If you prepare to not entirely get what you pay for, you will have a good time.

I don’t really write reviews but, to make the story short I did a reservation for a boat and called in advanced asking for information on what I need to rent a boat. They only told me to bring my drivers license. I was there with all my friends and apparently to drive the boat you need to be 26!!! Or have a course to drive a boat. They even took my payment before telling me that I can’t drive the boat. Customer service need to improve with first time visitors. Very disappointed.

We went 2 days in a row with some bad weather on day two. Braden(sp?), who is somewhat new to the marina was amazing. He help get us all set up on both days and really made us feel wagon. We hit some rough waters on day 2 and lost a wake board and they helped us look for it and everything. More 17 year olds need to be like this young gentleman. I sound old but im not, and I manage people for a living. This young man is a great example.

Very disappointed in Canyon Lake Marina. My family and I rented a boat for 4 hours and although we enjoyed our time there, the staff was very rude and unapproachable. There customer service was poor and they ruined the experience my family and I had.

Excellent customer service! Excellent equipment! We had some trouble while on the lake with weight issues. We gave them a call and within 10 minutes they brought an upgraded replacement boat and extended our rental time to make up for the weight issues. Friendly and approachable staff that makes this easily the best boat rental shop. Would definitely rent from them again the next time we’re in town!

Shockingly horrible customer service upon boat return. Getting Out on the water took 45 minutes past our rental time (1-5pm... we were in our boat by 145) they ignored us at first but then serviced another family as soon as they came out (we are Hispanic and that family was white). That was rude, but we let it go. When we came back from our rental around 520pm an old man was yelling because we pulled into the wrong area (first time at this marina and was a little confused, but no reason to be treated so poorly) heard him yelling from the docks, Jesus Christ. Then he yelled at my brother get out of the driver seat get OUT OF THE DRIVER SEAT!! The boat was undamaged, this old man was just losing his marbles over it. My little sister was so scared she started crying. It was HORRIFIC. I can’t believe we received that type of treatment. Absolutely horrible customer service. Don’t bring your family here.

Suntex provided an amazing experience today on Canyon Lake. The boat was clean and spacious. The management and employees were all professionals from start to finish. Canyon Lake on a boat is a must!

Believe the reviews when it says that the wait is long. It took us over an hour to get food for a 6 stop after being seated. There were 4 servers and maybe 10 different tables so it isnt like it was a packed in luck crowd. The barbecue was pretty okay, but the mac and cheese was freaking amazing. Summertime ordered the burger and said It was fantastic. It does have an amazing view, but definitely a place that I would not drive out of my way to go to again. However, if we were on a bike ride in the area I would stop in again.

Easy to rent waverunners. 95$ for an hour. Staff in the store and on the dock friendly and helpful. Only thing bad about the marina is no fishing allowed.

I always like the Canyon Lake Marina. We go there to feed the Ducks and just hang out sometimes. If you do go there and want to see the Ducks I would recommend bringing a small bag of dog food, the ducks do eat dog food. Plus its a lot cheaper than paying $0.25 for a few pellets of dog food looking stuff. They do have a little machine that gives you supposedly duck food but its such a small little bit that its not worth it. I recommend this place, just bring a bag of dog food. Preferably puppy food because the food is smaller and the ducks can eat it easier.

1. Gave wrong information when we called them on phone. When we went inperson, they said something else. (On phone, they said no certification needed for jet skii, but when we visited, they said certification needed)2. High price3. Unhelpful staff. When my friend slipped from the paddle board into the water (it was her first time), one of the staff was laughing, instead of offering help.Other than that, everything else was fine...

Closed too early for a holiday Friday. There is gas and a restaurant. We used the restroom at the restaurant. Nice staff. Wet slips to park for the restaurant.

Clean well stocked store, clean boat, nice marina. Great customer service, friendly counter lady walked us through the map of the lake flagging areas of concern. Awesome marina with restaurants and boat rentals

Our boat broke down just outside the marina wall. The people in the rental agency were absolutely fantastic in helping us out. First they tried to help us jump start the motor. When that didnt work, they managed to talk one of their rentals into taking my fiance back to the launch where we were parked (on the other side of the lake). When he finished driving back, they let him drive down their boat launch and towed our boat over to the launch. All without asking for recompense. If we EVER choose to rent a boat it will be from these wonderful, kind, people. Highly recommend them!

The staff were very friendly and helpful at this marina. I’ve been to other marinas who really are rude to the people who are not regulars but this place is anything but that. We rented a boat for the day and the staff were great about being friendly to my family and I.

Best place to be on Canyon Lake. Wish Service wasnt so busy.

Always busy, but normally pretty quick. Easy docking to fill up gas. Pump and pay inside. They also have aome drinks and snacks as well. If youre hungry you can head up to the restaurant for some pretty good grub.
