My son and I loved Shrek The Musical! The actors were great, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the theatre was clean! The show was put together nicely. The tickets are affordable here! I am so happy we found this theatre! It is an hour away from us, but definitely worth the drive!

Broadway in your backyard. The quality of the shows here is phenomenal. Probably the best community theater around! This is a great place for Canton to brag about.I would like to see more diversity in the casting and directing. It would be a nice change of pace to see what other creative minds can do with the financial backing of the guild.

Impressive from every catagory..talent,costumes stage settings and phenomenal special effects...saw A Christmas a Carol.

From a distance: big, splashy, WELL-FUNDED; productions handsomely mounted but feebly acted/directed. Usually turns out consistently bland family musical fare because thats all Canton will pay to see nowadays.Up close and personal: I am scarred by my three experiences with the fabled PG of C. No exaggeration--even after many years in therapy for depression, I still bring these unpleasant occasions up.Nobody loved the theatre more than I did when I was young. And nobody wanted more to be part of the local theatre community. I found success everywhere I worked but at the Guild. What went wrong? Well, the ordeal involved more than their notorious lack of inclusivity (either youre family or youre nothing, and they choose, not you). It went above the coldness and arrogance of the staff, tech crew, and even fellow auditionees. It was greater than the artistic directors stubbornly casting himself in leading roles even after being reprimanded by the board for doing so, or his charging children exorbitant fees just to audition. It was something in the very air--a sterile hostility and reek of ego which permeated the place from lobby to dressing rooms. I walked in as a very young, vulnerable, sensitive gay man searching for friends and camaraderie. I walked away suicidal...because to say they failed to reach out would be a massive understatement.I think money and looks (which, arguably, I lacked) had something to do with it. Plus no propensity to party. But most of all, I believe it was simply their judgement of me as not up to being one of them.I would not piss on the place if it was on fire.

Christmas Carol is also the Guilds feature production of the year. Well cast as always! Sounds system is a little weak. Sat in couch row and had difficulty hearing non singing parts at times.

Top notch entertainment in a great community theatre!! Never a bad show!! Love it!!

And the past year I have seen four performances here. Summer musicals and somewhere not. The acting is superb. The smaller theater is really nice and intimate. I highly recommend the players guild.

Enjoyed a raucous performance of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Coat - highly recommended - but it gets very hot and stuffy in that basement environment - they need better ventilation!

Magnificent. Totally worth going to see a show here. Would be 5 stars, except for the fact that its not carry friendly.

The sets and costumes were awesome. The music and the acting? Not so much. I was disappointed in a Christmas Carol. It had decent moments that were followed by cringes. I doubt Ill hazard my money on it again.

Wonderful performance of the musical “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.” I loved every moment! The chorus was amazing! Everything about this place is welcoming and humbling!

A hidden treasure right in our back yard. You could go to Cleveland for a great show, but pass up the drive and stay local. The talent and directing are just as good. I love this place

Have seen several shows here over the last year.They were great.Tickets were afordable; seating comfortable; performances superb.

Even though I think the performances are enjoyable, one must navigate way too many stairs to access either theater and restrooms. An elevator would enhance the experience.

Recently saw an outstanding performance of The Chronicles of Narnia.

Take money and people who pay over devoted people. Staff were rude and only thing positive were the actors and the woman who I reserved tickets with. They have gone downhill fast.

Just saw A Christmas Carol, what a wonderful job they did. Please do yourselves a favor and try to see this show.

Just saw The Full Monty and it was stellar !!!! Loved it !! Cast was fun hard working and incredibly talented ! How lucky we are to have such a place in our own back yard Thank you Players Guild !!!
