So we were recently on a vacation in Pittsburgh (from Texas) and decided to make a trip to the Pro Football HOF. I want to say it was about an hour and a half drive from the Burgh. Being that my family all loves football I didnt have to drag anyone here, which is a plus because my wife, son, and daughter was also very excited to go, and wanted to see everything. There is more to see that I had originally thought, and having someone hurry you through it all, would kinda put a damper on the whole experience (just in my opinion.) Pulling up to the building, our first reaction was it looked small, with a nice sized football stadium directly behind it (where they play the HOF game every year, obviously. Except this year, there was no game.) As far as the actual building, I think in our minds we had just built it up, but none the less, it was plenty big and had hours of stuff to go through, movies to watch, and brass heads to see.On the first leg of the tour, is the football trading cards, that rightfully you cannot take pictures of. Some of the cards were from the beginning of football and in nice condition. Theres enough cards here, if you looked at every single card and studied them, it would take atleast two hours or so, I would think. Then you move on to a multi-level area filled with amazing artifacts, players actual gear, and more fun facts about players and the game than you can imagine. One of the first items you come across is Jim Thorpes actual letterman sweater! After this area theres short movies, super bowl rings, walls of brass heads, and much more to check out.At the end of it, we spent about an hour and a half shopping in the HOF store. Here we were told of some possible upgrades coming to the Hall of Fame, like a hotel, restaurants, and possibly a water park or something, Im not exactly sure but she said it would be worth it to come back in the near future. My biggest disappointment is that you cant go onto the field to take a few pics, but I understand, and its definitely not enough to lose a star over, although it would be cool to have a big window or outside area facing the stadium were you could see what it looks lik, and take some pics of it.Overall it was a great day, and we all had a blast! Maybe if we lived closer Id say we would definitely revisit one day. If they do end up building on to it, we may have to make another stop, on a future trip. My best advice would be make sure you eat before you get here, unless they do build a restaurant, youll spend hours here and the family will get hungry. Like I said in the beginning, they didnt hurry me along, because they wanted to see everything also, but everyone was starving and we would have stayed a little longer if this was not the case. Or maybe have some snacks out in your car in the parking lot? Just a suggestion, either way if you are anywhere in the area, and are thinking of adding this place as a stop on your vacation.......definitely do it, I dont see you being disappointed at all! Ill add some pics, but not near as many as I actually took, so you can get an idea, without me showing all the good stuff! Thanks for reading and stay safe everyone!

Football has been a passion of mine since I was very young. So to finally come here and see all the memorabilia, all the players busts, all the stories that I had read or seen that were finally brought to me in reality here, I was in heaven. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. I spent 10 minutes just looking at the Lombardi trophy for Super Bowl LV. I couldnt take pictures in there, which is too bad, but nevertheless it was an amazing time. I definitely plan on going back.

If you love football like I do, you will love this place. It has so many artifacts and jerseys. You cant miss the bronze busts. My favorite was Barry Sanders one because I am from Michigan. There is even the Lombardi trophy. I love the shop too. There is tons of NFL gear from all 32 teams. I will be coming again

It was great to see the busts. The Joe Namath hologram show was entertaining and had a great message about working hard and being a better person on and off the field. Some cool stuff but overall, pretty boring and outdated. I would say this is more like a museum. Almost nothing to do thats interactive. Definitely dont bring kids under 10 here. They have a Superbowl theater which the seating section rotates 180 degrees about mid way through the movie (not really sure what the point is) that was nice. Wouldnt recommend driving in from out of town to go to this place. If you happen to be there anyway then worth visiting if you are a fan of the game.

Took my 3 boys there yesterday. Two of my boys were adopted from China. They knew little about football but thoroughly enjoyed it. The hall takes you through the history and then through all aspects of the game. A great learning experience. I have not been since I was younger (about 40 years ago). It was better than I remembered. A fun day.

Definitely one of those bucket list experiences that didnt disappoint! I had been wanting to go here for a while and so the fiancee and I went to Ohio for my birthday weekend. This was our final stop and it was a blast! The tour started with a detailed history of the games origins and development over its century of existence. The videos were informative and interesting. There was also a section going up the stairs that included the development of the uniforms and equipment used during different eras.Perhaps the most memorable part of the tour was the room of the bronze busts of the members of the NFL hall of fame. I could have spent hours in there! We ended our self guided tour with a glance of the games super bowl champions, including a display of all the teams championship rings and a video of the most recent super bowl. They also had a nice gift shop with a wide selection of purchaseables, including NFL gear and souvenirs. All told, we had a great experience and it didnt even suck up the entire day! We were there for about three and a half hours and were more than satisfied! So glad to have gone here! If youre an NFL fan, or are close to one, make their year by taking them on a trip here!

What an awesome shrine to one of the icons of American entertainment. The staff is helpful, incredibly knowledgeable, and very friendly. They do a wonderful job of engaging the kids. While most of the exhibits are a testament to the rich history of the game and all its parts, there is enough recent and current player involvement to keep the younger fans interested. And the 2 shows are cant miss! Cant wait to come back in a few years and see the progress on the village.

Review №43

It was completely different than when I came about a decade ago. If Im being honest Id say it was a little overrated and a letdown. I expected a lot more being the NFL especially since they just stuck a lot of money in the renovation and especially since it cost around $27 after taxes and fees. It was better the last time I went when each team had a helmet and display for representation. The original entrance was also much better. The biggest disappointment was the Madden Cruiser not being there. That needs to be a full-time display. The league needs to spend less time running off Kaepernick and more time working on this museum. If youre in Canton, visit the site where the league first met downtown, visit the old Akron Pros site at the former League Park lot, and visit Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon. But dont spend much time at the HOF.

Been to The Pro Football Hall of Fame many times...Great location that is easy accessible, parking is fairly sizable and can usually park pretty close. Awesome out door area which has a small turf field that they allow you to play on, great for throwing the football around with your pals.Once inside there are numerous exhibits which takes you through a chronological history of the sport from the early days of footballs origination in Canton to a Modern Day Room of recent players. You can see next years Lombardi Trophy, all the previous Superbowl rings, and of course the famed Hall itself with the bust of those enshrined.Capped off with a revolving theater, that showcases the latest seasons highlights and Superbowl, and ends, in an incredible NFL Shop with enough gear for everyones favorite team and signed memorabilia. The Pro Football Hall of Fame is a MUST go for any fans of the game.Negatives-Things to look for :Team events arent always what theyre said to be. I went for a Raiders weekend, and they handed out HOF towels, which was a great gift, but had nothing Raider related. There also wasnt any great mementos regarding such, outside of the turf from immaculate reception which wasnt a positive. Team weekends were a huge let down!Becareful to check for ongoing events, as sometimes the lots can be overcrowded due to such. Took my grandfather once, and ended up having to park an incredible length away from building, he had to walk a terrible distance that he was incapable of doing, and we ended up actually going elsewhere for the day.Outside of modern day changes, new annual bust, and the theater screening changes are not overly a ton, which is understandable. I visit every couple years to keep it fresh.

Went during the COVID pandemic and all things considered, most of the interactive things were still available. The interactive things not available were: trying on shoulder pads, putting on a QB helmet to listen to coach play calls and the replay booth. If you are a football card collector you will enjoy the variety of cards they have on display when you first start the tour. I honestly found this to be the most interesting part of the tour because I am a card collector. The rest of the tour is focused on the history of the league and it helps people understand why the HOF is in Canton. As a Browns fan, I enjoyed how much they seem to put the Browns in a positive light considering all of the suffering the fanbase has gone through for years. They even point out the Browns perfect season that nobody seems to remember. Theres all sorts of tidbits of info youll pick up along the way that even as someone who is an avid sports fan, will likely be news to you. Im purposely avoiding putting that info in here as you should just go check it out yourself. Was it worth the price of admission? Yes. The one disappointment in the whole thing was the Super Bowl theater as the movie they played was focused on only a recent super bowl and it wasnt even a good one. I was expecting the movie to cover more than 1 super bowl. For kids and adults, theres also a virtual locker room movie with players and coaches giving inspirational stores. I found that to be the best movie they played. All in all it was a great experience and I took no pictures as you just need to go see it for yourself.
