Choose you launch times carefully!! Weekdays you can typically get in and out without much wait. The weekends on the other hand... be prepared to go early for parking spot and be ready to wait to come off the water. Consider other launches on the weekends.

My wife and I grabbed a meal to go at one of the local restaurants and drove to the Pier to enjoy our dinner and the sunset.

A decent boat launch to access Canandaigua Lake. The buildings definitely need renovating.

This is the launch we use to access Canandaigua Lake while boating. Has a pretty big parking area as well as overflow area. Gets busy on weekends and holidays, but theyre pretty good about monitoring the green and red flags to optimize the traffic. Restrooms are always clean that I see and staff there are always friendly.Admission is $7, but there are several passes that allow you to get in for free. Theres a free senior pass that allows free weekday admission, and a purchased pass (Empire, I think?) that allows free any day admission.Convenient launch!

Nice boat ramp, fishing was good out on lake. To busy on weekends there. Boaters are all over the place then. Water to rough to fish, anchor or just taking a ride.

Its a nice place to watch the boats and people and walk around. You can enjoy a hot dog,hamburger and soda from the great Tonys stand at the end of the Pier. Very enjoyable place to relax.

Great Canada Goose and Duck Hunt

This boat launch is on the north side of canandaigua lake. During peak season and time of day VERY busy!!!! We have a Yamaha twin engine and are always concerned with jets sucking in debris and tall weeds. Wish the launch was monitored in some way for annoying, rude, etiquette nieve boaters. Most launches do have bumpers which helps manage bumps and dings.

Can get really packed but a nice launch for boats and kayaks

Great slip, although I recommend arriving early. Its a little hectic during peak hours.

This launch is handy for Canandaigua Lake, right off the main road into town. Can get very busy and hectic on the weekends. They offer free entrance for seniors during the week. Bathrooms are generally kept very clean. Watch for knuckleheads at the ramps who dont know what theyre doing.

We love this cool town. It has the quaint boathouses and breweries and restaurants from $-$$$$.

The people, fellow boaters are great. The docks are in disrepair from missing cleats to missing bumpers, the lots and drive are a pothole-ridden mess, and the gate custodian is a total idiot with too much attitude for his lowly position. I love Canandaigua Lake, but this launch really leaves much to be desired.

Wish a car without a trailer didnt have to pay

With the Lake Ontario flooding, boat owners from that area are bringing their boats down to Canandaiga Lake on the weekends. This is causing much congestion, confusion and waiting. Most boat owners are inconsiderate and ignorant because they dont have their boats ready to launch when they reach the launch ramps. WHEN YOUR BOAT REACHES THE LAUNCH RAMP, ITS SUPPOSED TO BE READY TO GO IN THE WATER. NOT, load coolers, tie ropes, place their bumpers, inflate tubes or load flotion devices. These people cause long lines, congestion and annoy knowledgeable considerate boat owners.
