Loved this place! We visited in October for mountain biking and to see the lodge, which wasnt open. (I was sorry to see that they turned the large fireplace into a display, no longer for its intended use.)There is a beautiful brook that flows along the trail for a bit. There is a nice view of water and hills toward the top. This trail has rocks and roots, but was so much fun.Warning... some humans who walk their large dogs here, do not pick up after them, which ended up places it shouldnt have been.

Went there for the fall weekend. Up the mountain on the ski lift and walked down which was fun and easy. Great views of the ocean and foliage!

Good place to mountain bike. The trails that we went on were steep and mostly rocky. They switch-backed to the top of the small ski hill. It was good to get out on the bike and if I was in better shape it would have been easier. If youre looking for a place close to Camden for a quick ride this should work for you.

Tough on days open to ski but does have lights and can see the ocean so worth it for that, hiking biking trails and boat launch with a beach really cool in summer at Hosmer pond its more lake than pond but fun. I live next door so in winter Wed - Sat until 9pm

I had a great day of skiing here on a Thursday in early March. Not very busy, but all lifts were operating. Mostly beginner and intermediate trails were nicely groomed with plenty of snow - good cruising. Although I didnt partake, the terrain park looked pretty extensive for a small place. The lodge has a clubhouse atmosphere and a cafe with some good choices for breakfast and lunch, including salads and a veggie burger. Im glad I went.

The snow bowl is a great place in the winter for skiing as well as summer time for hiking/biking. They have lots of different types of trails and have such friendly staff. They also have different events here that are super fun. They have a little pond that you can go swimming at or bring a canoe on. Swimming isnt the best but it is a spot you could jump into. The directors here are amazing people and do good things for the community. All around, it is a really good place.

Fished from the dock on a wednesday morning, not a soul in sight. Beautiful Pond, we stayed across the pond at a tiny little camp. Probably the butlers quarters for some super rich people back in the day. As far as ski resorts go, ive skied at Big Sky in Montana, Snowbird in Utah, Telluride in Colorado, if my host in Camden hadnt pointed it out as a ski resort, i would have guessed that rich people didnt like hiking up small hills, so they had a chair lift installed.

Signed up for the beginners skiing group lesson with my sisters, who have never been skiing before. I was only slightly more experienced than them; however, Dave (one of the other instructors) pulled me aside and gave me a private lesson on the mountain for the rest of the session. He had a last minute cancelation that morning and could’ve easily taken the time off, but decided to give me some really great tips instead. It was my second year skiing at the Snow Bowl, but it is now a new annual family tradition. Great and friendly staff and incredible value.

Ski rental over here is such a joke especially with their attitude. Wouldn’t loan me ski boots and had to purchase the whole package yet if you go on the website they do rentals for them. The people selling tickets and at the rentals have absolutely horrible attitudes and no customer service whatsoever with the way they talk and treat customers. Shocking especially seeing that this is a family oriented mountain/establishment. I ultimately got a refund for the rentals and sold my lift tickets. Never coming back again.

I always thought this was a bowl (yknow, mixing, cereal, salad, etc) with a bunch of snow in it, which struck me as odd because theres a bunch of snow in Maine, as we all know. Ive got bowls and snow already, so whats the point of hiking out to Camden?IT TURNS OUT that this is a well-run and fair-priced family ski destination for all sorts of people looking for a nice winter experience. Wouldntchaknowit. Highly recommend it.

My family had a wonderful day of skiing on Sat...the last day that the mountain was open for the season. We have an Autistic daughter who does not ski, so we didnt know how the day would work for making it a family event. My husband and I approached the ticket counter, and keeping my fingers crossed, I asked Would it be possible for my husband and I to share a ticket? We have an autistic daughter who is 14 and does not ski and we also have two younger children who do ski. Would it be possible for my husband and I to share a ticket so that we can enjoy our children today? The women behind the counter was so nice! She said normally we dont do that, but since today is the last, I will allow it. She gave me a necklace to put the ticket on so that it would be easy to transfer the ticket. I was so grateful that I was in tears. My husband and I were able to spend some time with each child...I skied first and my husband hung out with our oldest daughter, and then we switched and I took our oldest snowshoeing. Thank you Camden for making our day so special. If I may now make a request? As a parent of an autistic daughter, I know the struggles that we (our family) deal with on a daily bases. Things like this would be GREAT, if they were something that the mountain COULD do on a regular bases. It doesnt cost you anything and you dont loose any money. My husband and I could not be on the mountain at the same time, so no extra bodies would be taking up space. However the idea that we could split our time and each spend time on the mountain while the other took care of our autistic daughter means the world to us. So I hope you see how important these little suggestions means to the autistic families in the world. Thank you :)

Family friendly, good conditions. Variety of terrain; beginner to glades. No expert terrain however. Even though an expert skier myself I didnt miss it as I was skiing with my family. Resort has plans to expand their base lodge as the original is cramped. New plans look fantastic. The toboggan run onto the lake is a must!

The terrain was surprisingly good off the big lift...when it wasnt broken down, which unfortunately was more than half the day. The small lift should probably be a magic carpet. The lesson program needs a vast improvement. I think this mountain will only improve year after year though. The Toboggan Championships on the other hand...that is the most fun you can have on wood!

Good mountain biking! Check with sidecountry sports for trail conditions! A little of everything, with a strong focus on techy non-flowy classic New England rocks, roots, twists, turns, and tight trees. Ocean view from the top. Not the best signage. Best spot in mid-coast for mountain biking.
