Great theater with quality movie selection and a pretty unique selection of sweets and beer. The seats are all big and comfy but the smaller theaters have limited seats. Get there early. Loses one big star because they still don’t offer reserved seating which is like really old fashioned.

Great casual place to watch a movie, though as with many things in Kendall square/Boston, tickets and concessions are a tad expensive. For MIT students, this is a great place to watch a movie, as tickets can be bought for $9.50 (competitive price) from the MIT AC office in Stata and the location is walkable from campus. We went on a Tuesday night, so things were pretty quiet. The location is convenient, and there are many showings, so I think I will visit again often.

Not very busy but also a Thursday night. Movie selection was good. No line at the ticket counter. No line at food. All staff was friendly! Theaters were a good size but not huge. I hate being in a theater of 200+ people and these were less than 50. Chairs recline but I still prefer regals chairs as these didnt kick your legs up and I was always struggling to find a good position. 4/5 will go back.

This is a great movie theater. Its big and clean. Keep in mind that snacks are movie theater snacks - so theyre going to be overpriced. They may not get a lot of huge blockbusters in, but they show a lot of great indie stuff and art pieces that you cant see in more mainstream theaters. They have self-service kiosks to buy tickets, which is nice because it reduces time spent waiting in line.

I love that Boston has so many independent theaters, and this is one of the best. They renovated in the past few years and now have large leather recliners. Their ticket prices and concessions are more reasonably priced than the big chains and the quality of food is much higher! The employees are all friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that you cannot reserve seats, which is annoying once you are used to being able to do it at other theaters.

Its my go-to theatre. And not just because of the proximity. No brainless junk cinema here -- they run a wide selection of quality films from all over the world. Its especially good during Oscar season. Ive become a bit of a cinephile after I started patronizing this place. Also, good concessions, extremely comfortable seating, accessible location, and a cluster of good restaurants and pubs at One Kendall Square nearby, if you want to grab some F&B before, after, or between films.

This slightly out of the way theater has affordable prices, flavorful and fresh popcorn, and interesting snack bar variety with many local offerings. Oh yeah and craft beer! The movies are a mix of mainstream and indie. There are also special events with director Q & As from time to time. International films can also be found here. Today I caught an Irish film of perspectives interwoven called Lost & Found. The theater is clean, service is prompt, and the blue automatic reclining seats are so comfy. Definitely check out this gem of an indie theater!

Im pleased with the renovation having not visited this location in quite a few years. The recliners are clean and comfy but it didnt seem like there are any footrests. I didnt partake in any of the concessions but beer and wine are available in addition to the standard fare. If you do like a beer with your movie, take note that the bathrooms are on the second floor. I noticed muffled sound leaking from other theaters during quiet parts in the movie I was watching but other than that I had a very enjoyable movie-going experience. Patrons are directed to enter the theater through the garage due to construction nearby - just follow the signs when you arrive.

I don’t know what this place has against carbonated water but they have issues that cut deep.Several months ago I went and wanted soda water with my popcorn. The server informed me that I’ll have to pay the same price for the soda water as I would for a soda (with syrup) I said okay, with absolutely no reservations about it. I am happy to pay for carbon gas being injected into my water. She gets my popcorn and then asks again what drink I want and I repeat soda water and she almost has a cow!She jerked around and exclaimed, impatiently, “I’m going to HAVE to charge you full price for this water.”Having stated soda water twice I respond with, “why the hell do you care that I pay for soda water? I know what I want, why can’t I have the soda water?”She was taken aback and said I could have it and didn’t gripe about it to me anymore. Now this time, a few weeks ago, I go back and they no longer serve soda water. I think it was the same crazy lady who served me before but I’m not entirely positive. I bought a large soda cup and filled it with tap water from the drinking fountain.I like carbonated water. The carbon adds a sharp note to the taste. I do not drink soda and I don’t understand, if they have the technology to provide soda water, why they refuse. Neither do I understand that crazy servers exasperation at me ordering soda water. Strange place. The theater is okay but I’m going to go to places that offer drinks that I like.

Love the renovations here!! The seats are so comfy and they even recline. Online ticketing and the self-service kiosks in the lobby make it so you really never have to wait in line. This theater isnt cheap, but its a top notch venue thats actually worth paying money for to see a movie. Food selection is meh, but theyve got a nice beer list.Tip: the garage normally costs around $20, but dont let that scare you. Its only $3 if you validate your ticket before leaving the theater!

Love this place! They have a great selection of indie/foreign/etc films that are all worth seeing but hard to find in a regular cinema. We see most of the films we watch at this cinema. The reclining seats are comfortable and wide, but I find the head cushion pushes my head forward more than Id like. The sight lines are great, though. Most times the staff are pleasant and well coordinated. Occasionally, the person taking tickets could manage lines more effectively. The films shown are always in good condition and well curated. Parking is convenient and inexpensive with the self-validation provided in the lobby. Matinee prices are a bargain, especially compared to other big chains that charge more than $20 for similar amenities.I like an independent theater, and Kendalls Landmark ticks all the boxes.

Whether youre driving or taking the T this theatre is easy to get to for any commuter. There is a validation kiosk in the theatre for discounted parking for movie goers. They serve alcohol but its a one drink limit per customer at the time of purchase. You can go back and buy more if you feel the need to. Concessions are typical movie concessions (popcorn, candy, soda, nachos etc.).This theatre is great for independent films and well as hollywood blockbusters. I would recommend this theatre to all movie goers who seek deeper entertainment.

For Fans of Joni Mitchell. This was a MUST DO! The film was broadcast to select theaters across the country for Joni Mitchells 75th Birthday Bash. The event took place at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in LA & was filmed for a future theatrical release. Joni wrote so many iconic songs including Big Yellow Taxi ( Dont It Always Seem to Go That You Dont Know What Youve Got Till Its Gone, Pave Paradise Put Up a Parking Lot). That song is more relevant now than when it first came out in 1970.Lots of Jonis friends & fellow musicians were on hand singing their interpretation of Jonis legendary songs. Some of the artists were Brandi Carlisle,Glen Hansard, Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, Chaka Khan, Diana Krall, Kris Kristopherson, ,Los Lobos with LA Maisoul, Cesar Castro, Xochi Flowers, Graham Nash, James Taylor, Seal, Rufus Wainright. What a great evening to see & hear all this FANTASTIC MUSIC. What a great tribute & Fun Night at the Movies. It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. Youve been Upgraded.
