This was a really great time. A fun activity for friends to get together or a family day out that doesnt cost alot of money. Adults are $10 and that includes several hours of skating and your skates. The rental skates did kind of hurt my feet being made of hard plastic so wear thicker socks. But we still had a really great time. For those not skating there is a viewing area along the rink with heaters and benches to sit on. The holiday lights are out of this world, some of the best holiday lights Ive seen!!

We went to Caldwell to see the lights and were not disappointed. My wife and I are now planning a date to the iceskating area. The ambience was fantastic. Add a little snow and it would have been the perfect winter wonderland.

We saw the Christmas lights at Indian Creek Plaza - it was beautiful!! Im so grateful for those who worked so hard to put this on for the community. Ive driven through Christmas light displays and parked by decorated houses to watch a light show, but I never walked through a holiday light display before. It was truly magical!! I highly recommend this family friendly activity to all!!

Had a good time with the family, took my daughter ice skating and got to see all the lights. Awesome place to check out this time of year.

1st Class urban outdoor facilities and Christmas Lights display along Indian Creek. A lot of new shops and pubs in a row block radius has absolutely transformed downtown Caldwell.

Overall a beautiful area - nice kids / beginners section.4 of the 7 people with us needed to exchange their skates because they were broken / sharp hurting their feet and ankles.My struggle is I have a child with special needs, we tried to skate knowing it may not go well. Needless to say it did not go well, and we needed to exit the loop. Around the loop there are many gates that are closed. We contacted an employee who refused to open the gates. We attempted to make it to the opening, and ended up having to put my kid over the railing.The gates do open, and should have been accommodated. The experience my son was going through, and comments and reactions of other skaters should have been enough to allow us to go through the gate.

Crowded AF on a Saturday night. Very beautiful display downtown. Not worth it because of the crowd tho. Maybe a weekday night would be good for someone who would also like to try to avoid a crowd.

I love to attend an ice rink but there is no staff enforcing their rules. I constantly see people stopped on the ribbon, people taking their phones out and it makes it extremely inconvenient to someone who is trying to skate on the ribbon. I dont mind dodging and weaving at an ice rink because of the open space, but this closes it off when no one enforces the rules.Other than that, its a standard ribbon that Ive seen in a few other places. Standard uphill and downhill and a stage to practice.

Caldwell and the business sponsors have done an outstanding job of creating a family fun environment that appeals to all ages. The services provided by the local shops and the Christmas lighting are springboards for a very enjoyable evening out with family and friends. Close in parking is a challenge on Saturday evenings so arrive early.

Downtown Caldwell has a great start in becoming a good healthy fun spot for families to enjoy an evening together.With lots of new eateries opening, the choice of food being served up is delicious.Dont forget the dessert! Or if mom and dad want to get the kids out the house after dinner, theres also an ice cream shop, candy store and many other business you can grab a cookie and go.It definitely an exciting time for downtown Caldwell, with many of the buildings being renovated, its only a matter of time before downtown Caldwell grows up.

This is one of the most unique ice rinks Ive been too. Ive never seen one that has slight up and down hills like this one does. It was a fun experience. Im giving it 4 of 5 stars because it was small and there wasnt really a space to do any real skating.

Great Atmosphere! The night was perfect and the outdoor activities were filled with fun for the whole family.They have local food trucks come out occasionally and serve the community, which is always a wonderful experience for food goers.The plaza has lots of music and outdoor entertainment throughout the summer and will transition through the fall and outdoor ice shaping rink in the winter.Amazing Fun for the whole Family!!

First time paying for a concert. They were very organized and practiced social distancing and wearing masks. We had a great time. Looking forward to more events.

Beautiful and relaxing with an abundance and variety of businesses to enjoy. From sandwiches, fine dining, bbq, ice cream, jewelry, books and more! Walking around is a pleasure with a serene, clean and safe environment.

Grit was a great place to have a nice brunch along with a bloody Mary.Ryan the bartender was amazing and friendly!

There is a coffee shop and an ice cream store right where the kids can get wet in the hot weather during the summer and they have movie nights and different occasions for other family nights. Its really a great place to go with family and friends

Very cool place to visit. Very crowded, but worth the crowd to go see the lights.

Looks like they spent a lot of money here, and the place is really nice. We came on a karaoke night and the sound is good, but echoes because of the shops opposite of the stage. They forgot to render the sky when we were here.

Great BBQ!! Had the Burnt ends, riblets and chicken wing platter along with the chicken plate. Cant wait to go back and try the sweet potato bread pudding!!!!

It was GREAT for the July 4th celebration. Lots of FUN ACTIVITIES!! Awesome band played some of the old favorite tunes, people danced - adults and kids alike. The kids played in the BIG water sprinklers. Just a lot of fun for everyone !!

The Plaza has great shops and places to eat. Plenty of outdoor seating and nice friendly atmosphere.

Since moving to the Treasure Valley 3 years ago we have been going to this Christmas light display at the Indian Creek Plaza. Cant say enough good things about it. The city people who organize it, put up the lights, and help with keeping it running smoothly do a fantastic job.

There is ice skating as well as music and heaters if you want a break in skating. You can warm up to.

Found parking easily, not quite what we expected, went to picnic with our dog and lunch. Grass is limited but nice, not much in the way of shades sitting / tables. Easily enjoy the creek. Pedestrian bridges were nice. The historical district sign reigning over the dust barren block was hilarious but really should be taken down until developed. Thanks for the grassy picnic, nice walk along the creek and the laugh.

I love to stop here for coffee or a rest during a shopping trip in the summer. Its wonderful in the winter time when the Christmas lights are out and the skating ribbon is in place.

Great little ice loop! There are 3 warming fires. One on each side, and one inside the loop. There is a stage where there is possibly performances and music. Lots of sitting and mingling areas. Little stores and shops on the outskirts of the plaza (The buildings block wind well too!). There is an inner rink inside the loop where they have the ice walkers and stacked buckets for little ones to hold on to and practice skating with. For very little ones, the smallest skate size they have is a 9. So they can put the skates directly on over their shoes (if it fits) but if you want a smaller size bring your own. No strollers or carrying of children is allowed so bear that in mind. Fun and family friendly! Very safe. They are good about not any rough or reckless skating.

Ambiance was great! The rink had some rolls to it instead of being flat which gave it character. Price with skate rental for a day was $10 per person, so not bad for a date. There is a coffee shop next door for warming up after.Con: due to high traffic, the ice was pretty beat up, so I would suggest timing your visit when there is less traffic or it is directly after the ice gets resurfaced by the Zamboni at 1:30, 3:30, 5:30, or 7:30PM.This is the first year, so they will work out the kinks and it is a great location!

Wonderful free place in Caldwell for kids to go get wet. Great time waster since the public pool is closed. Has some shops and snack places near by.

Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. There is a variety of shops to visit and sites to see around here. From the SPLASH PAD for the kids (and adults that know they are too cool to not participate in the water fun) to the outdoor instruments for visitors to drum on and make some awesome sounds. We came here to visit the flying M coffee shop on Sunday around 4:20 but unfortunately it was closed but it allowed us tome to checkbout what was around. See the videos and pictures below included with my review. Caldwell is growing and the community is thriving right along with the growth. 5 stars! What are you waiting for. Come visit and see for yourself!

I have lived in Caldwell for 20/23 years of my life. And Ill say that everything theyve done with Indian Creek has done nothing but get better every single year!

My little guy loved playing in the splash pad and after we went to the little frozen yogurt place, it was the perfect evening.

Overall, we had fun ice skating and the setting is pretty and decorated nicely.We had to walk nearly a full lap around the plaza trying to find the entrance to the skate rental window because it’s blocked off from almost every direction. Better signage would help. The line to rent skates moved very slowly. All the skates we were given were damp or wet inside, which was pretty gross.The biggest bummer was our interactions with skating ribbon employees. We were scolded for: not knowing where to pick up our skates, putting our skates on in the wrong place, standing in the wrong place while waiting for the rink to open, and for removing the skating aides from the middle of the rink. There is no signage for any of this, so how are guests to know? And how are my non-skaters under age 5 supposed to get on the rink without the skating aides?Staff also said things like “Come on, people!” and “You should all know better!” over the loudspeaker when making announcements. It struck me as super rude and inappropriate. They, too, would benefit from signage for customers so they don’t have to repeat themselves a hundred times per day, which has apparently made them all grumpy.

So much fun! We look forward to it every year. It puts the Meridian Village skate rink to shame. Good job Caldwell!

Good Community Social Gathering Place for Caldwell, Idaho Music, Food, and Fun with lots of social events throughout the year. Finally a place to just relax along the Creek with family and friends and neighbors alike.

Farm to fork is a great event that happens at Indian Creek plaza. The restaurants are great in the plaza. And enjoying the live music is a perfect evening!!

Its a nice public place to hang out. Lots of little shops, picnic tables, and a stage. In the winter, theres an ice rink and lots of lights.

It was SO fun to be able to have our prom here after the whole covid thing! We even were able to have a life band

Farmers market was a lot of fun and lots of good foods and snacks!

Great family friendly place onsite music park on some nights they play free movies in the plaza only bad thing no pets but other then that they have a little Creek you can have a picnic fun cute family oriented place!

Great area for community events. Multiple options available. Lots of access to local shops and services. In the heart of downtown Caldwell. Scenery can be beautiful at times. Especially great place to visit midwinter and mid summer. Be prepared to bump elbows with others as it is very popular.

It has brought new life to our small town. I dont ice skate but I can walk from my home to attend all the summer events.

We are looking at relocating to Idaho and were in Caldwell. Too many places not open for business - especially restaurants that should have been for lunch - on the plaza. Open up and serve customers please.

Downtown Caldwell has become a truly beautiful area, especially during the Christmas season when they go ALL OUT with lights, decorations, and a fire breathing dragon! We had a lovely time taking our three young kids to see the sights, ice skate on the ribbon, and then warm up by the large fire and other gas warmers nearby. We are planning on making this a yearly tradition!

This u.s a fun place to come with the family. Lots to do and even get a hot drink, bbq, frozen yogurt, or full meal while youre there. Los of heaters and fire pits to gather around, stay warm and enjoy the ambiance and friends or family. Comfortable seating and lots of festive lighting. Skating around the ribbon/rink is just a good time... or just hang out and enjoy the night watching the kiddos!

Super fun ice skating rink, loved the ribbon. Definitely a great way and place to do social ice skating. I took my girls and they loved it.This area has some real potential as a great venue for all sorts of social gathering.

Out for the Farm to Fork Farmers Market and its a great weekly event! Fun music and lots of variety of products from local producers.

Not sure what was going on last night very loud music coming from across the street In empty lot and it made for a very unpleasant night to be sitting outside at the plaza trying to enjoy frozen yogurt which was good had to finally get up and leave as it was not good.

Had a great time. Skated 3 miles and burnt 350 calories. Going back for dinner and to see the lights tonight.

NOT a good experience. Weve been to a lot of skating rinks in Idaho and Utah, and this was our least favorite. They have a LOT of rules that are obviously made only to protect them, at the determent of the customers experience. The staff seemed bothered and inconvenienced by its customers. Every 5 minutes they announced over the loud speakers that phones arent allowed on the ice (this is the only rink weve been to where you cant take pictures of your kids while skating.) AND, after skating with our 1 year-old in an umbrella stroller for 20 minutes, staff came and told us umbrella strollers arent allowed. (Because they think that holding a 1 year-old in your arms while skating is safer?) This is the only rink weve been to that this is the case. Wont be coming back.
