We have a group of guys that has been going down here for the last 10 years or better we do have a great deal however they been on the slow roller coaster ride down hill with customer service Golf Course never has a ranger and sometimes even on the hottest of days it can become a problem with as many singles and twosomes there are back-to-back. Golf etiquette in this area seems to lack big time because most foursomes do not allow twosomes to play through understandably so because you would get tired of the consistent twosomes they let on the course all the time! However, that being said there are some great people that work here!

I would call this a two or three star hotel and I am rating it tops in its class. You want good service and a clean room, then this is a great value for the money. The rooms were more recently updated but many of the common areas were not. Cleanliness goes a long way and Evergreen Resort delivered.

We have stayed here in the past when it was McGuires and liked it very much. This stay was very disappointing. Our room was not very clean even with the Corona pandemic going on. Nasty dust and hair behind our bathroom door and carpets were dirty! So sad. The view was very pretty out the double door but did not make up for the unclean room.

Great place to stop to take the dogs for a walk. Nice hill to go sledding on too.

The pool was warm And clean our room was cute and comfortable staff was friendly and helpful had a great time thank you

Course needs a bunch of tlc but the rooms were nice. Staff were very friendly and made the stay enjoyable. Breakfast was good as well!

We had a wedding there. All employees were fantastic. Food very good, servers fantastic. Enjoyed our stay.

Solid rooms. Good golf course. Curlys has good food as well. Solid choice if you want to stay in Cadillac.

Love our stay, it was awesome and great. We got the package off group golfer and received beyond great over the top service from check in to check out. Special shout out to Cheyenne at Curleys... she went beyond the greatest service....

The room itself was average, it was clean and comfortable. We were unhappy that during our stay, the room was never cleaned. Fresh towels and the garbage emptied would have made ALL the difference.

Bathroom was small. The main door didnt lock and there was no security latch.Staff was VERY nice and attentive.

No maintenance staff had masks on (one didnt even have one on them) that I saw. Front desk older woman, no mask. Nice location but these need to be addressed. Dated decor is fine.

Hotel is older. Read reviews prior to going and thought it would be better than it was. No elevator in the building we were in. Very inconvenient for carrying things plus small children. Pool was indoors but a HIKE from our room. Due to COVID, not towels were available at the pool (which we didn’t know until after we got wet)...yes there was a sign on the ledge by where towels were, but not easily seen. Room was clean enough, but definitely dated and nothing special. Needed to print something for work and went to the “business center” but it doesn’t exist anymore either, I guess Covid for that, too? No workout center available. Breakfast was available in a to go bag (not bad) or in the hotel restaurant (no choice on items: eggs, bacon and a rotating starch/bread/biscuit/potato each day). Overall, an OK stay, we’ve been worse places, but it isn’t anything spectacular. We don’t golf, but saw a lot of people enjoying that part of the resort.

Even during the current circumstances, Evergreen Resort maintains their excellent reputation. The room was clean and spacious with plenty of relaxation amenities. My trip was family oriented, so I did not have any time or desire to take advantage of golf, shuffle board, etc. For the most part the facilities are quiet and privacy respected. Great stay! Staff were very professional and courteous. Thank you all for a pleasant experience once again. JT

The hotel is just fine but the Spruce coarse was in very bad shape. The dandelions have taken over most of the coarse. From the tee box, rough and the fairways. It doesnt look any kind of lawn maintenance has been done since last year. This is definitely not what I expected with a up north resort. First and last time coming here. Not sure where all the good reviews came from.

Stayed at Evergreen for a snowmobile trip. Thumbs up from me. Nice clean room, great breakfast. Plenty of parking for our trailers and sleds. Bar and restaurant on site. Pool looked very nice. Overall I was very pleased.

Great quiet place with great food.

Very nice room, the front desk lady was friendly, the pool was perfect for my 5 yr old and 6 yr grandsons was big for hotel pool and was roped off from the deep end. I will come back and stay here next visit to Cadillac. The breakfast was amazing..loved my stay

Save your money and book at a Motel 6. Got a wake up call from water dripping from the ceiling when the guests upstairs turned on the shower. Decor was very dated. Two stars because I was told that the breakfast offering was good.

The Evergreen was a very clean, nice property to stay. The configuration of the buildings was odd. Took an elevator to 2nd floor only to have to go down 5 steps to our room . ??? You cant take your roll cart with all your bags down to your room.. Other than that, very nice.

Norway course is a little confusing but its a fun course.. Snack shack is a bit pricey $11.00 for 2 hotdogs

Enjoyed the easy trail access for snowmobiles also the on site bar and restaurant was great. The pool is a long walk down all the way to the back of the property but it is all enclosed. The sauna could use some updating.

Our server was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal at a reasonable price.

Room was not terribly clean, found a sock that previous guest had left behind. Dust/lint on all surfaces. TV remote had food on it from previous guest. Carpet in entry area was wet from snow being tracked in. Breakfast buffet eggs were cold, not appetizing.

Newly remodeled areas inside and out. Beautiful views on the golf course, an awesome pool area and incredible bar and grill called Curlys make this place a special getaway for anybody or family. Right outside town its a quick 5 min drive into downtown where there are many neat specialty shops including the Sweet Shoppe, Toy Town among our favorites.

It was very quiet even for the large amount of people that were there. It felt like we were the only ones there sometimes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially during breakfast.

Evergreen Resort is a very nice place to stay. We drove about 5 hours from Ontario, Canada to stay there. The room we had was very nice, very larges and very central to everything. The restaurant was a hundred feet or so away as was the pool. The pro shop for the golf course was maybe a hundred yards away. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, $3.25 for bottled beer and $7.95 for a burger. The golf course is nice and in decent shape except for one thing. In my humble opinion if you are going to have bunkers on a golf course then they should not be hard as a rock and should not have weeds growing in them. Other then that, we are already booked into the same rooms for four nights next year.

We had a wonderful experience at Evergreen! We booked a group of rooms for our wedding and Andrea was accommodating to us through the whole process! The staff, especially Brandy and the breakfast wait staff, were all friendly and very pleasant to us and our guests! I had even found out that I left behind valuables in my room and to my surprise it was found and turned in and I was able to get it back! Thank you Evergreen for a great weekend!

We were attending a wedding up North and the bride had reserved a block of rooms here. When we arrived 3 of the parties I knew were already checked in. They told us our room wouldnt be ready for another hour. When we let them know we had a wedding to get ready for we were told, I know. You can use the bathrooms here if you need to change. Wow. Really???? Wouldnt you think, knowing you had guests arriving for a wedding, you might think to ensure that specific block of rooms was ready??? Once we finally were able to check in, after the ceremony, our room smelled terribly like cigarettes, even though it said it was a no smoking room. The room looked like it hadnt been used in months, with dust all over and very visible debris in the corners of the bathroom. I wouldnt normally be so nit picky but given the amount of money we spent on the room and the fact it has the name resort I expected better. We were given a balcony room, which increased the price, and it wasnt more than a sliding fire egress window out onto a cement slab. When my husband took a shower the next morning, he could barely get the water above luke warm. The whole experience felt like a cheap motel. We were extremely disappointed in our stay and wouldnt consider this as a location to stay again.

We held a large conference here for the weekend and the staff was so accommodating. They decorated the room very nicely and had everything we needed. It was wonderful experience and we will definitely choose Evergreen for future events.

Very nice rooms. We have suite with separate shower and Jacuzzi. Tiny patio on back of room. They do need an outdoor sign that reads Hotel Lobby or Registration. Was driving all around the buildings in the rain to find it.

Decent place to spend a weekend. Rooms clean and spacious. Breakfast is plentiful and decent. We went off season, early May, quiet escape. Not allot to do in the surrounding area unless your avid golfer.

I wasnt sure what I was expecting, but it was great! We were only staying one quick night and wanted an inexpensive room. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a great staff. The breakfast buffet was good. We will definitely come back to this hotel in the summer for a longer stay.

Great old course. The greens were fast but true. Very nice Layout. And the pool and Hot Tub were fabulous.

Fireplace room was very cozy and large. Full size walk in closet and slider to private balcony was also nice.

Staff was friendly, hotel was clean. Has pool, hot tub, hangout area before pool and a GREAT breakfast (full layout, not continental breakfast). Also has a small bar that was quite lively while we were there for my sons wedding. We had a GREAT time at the resort and will definitely stay again.

Very hospitable from the bartender in the bar and grill to the golf desk to the golf starter to the young man handling the bags. Food is good too. Rooms nice and new.

Had a great stay here! Loved the jr king suite. Bed was so comfortable it was hard to wake up in the morning :) the staff was also very friendly and accommodating. It is definitely our go to hotel when were in town.

Rooms were small, WIFI would not connect, Hot tub was broke - had to call to get fixed. Breakfast was not great.

Have ate here a few times for the buffet on Sunday with groups. Buffet has been good but the hot line wasnt always stocked well. Not a ton of choices but had different choices like smelt which was nice. Desert bar had a ton of choices and was excellent. Staff was friendly, bathrooms needed some attention.

A friend has a golf outing every year here. The meals are very good. The course is good. Have a lot of fun every time!

It is great that theres a restaurant onsite, and it looks nice. However, pool is located in a separate building, in winter this is a real dealbreaker. Also, the showerhead in the bathroom is trash, and needed to be replaced a long time ago. Other things are as expected.

Great meal, blue cheese burger, nice view of the golf course where a wedding rehearsal was taking place. Will go back for steak or fish next time. Recommended place to eat in Cadillac.

I cant say enough great things about this resort! Everything was very clean. It was nice and warm in all the places you wanted; the pool, the hot tub, near the fireplace, at breakfast. It was such a cozy place to stay after being in the elements all day. If youre looking for brand new, this isnt your place. If youre looking for amazing customer service, a beautiful quaint town, a great variety of winter activities and then a nice cozy lodge, THIS IS your place. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know and I would absolutely come back again and again.

This beats the chain hotels hands down.Play golf, enjoy Cadillac. Its just outside the busy part of town. Quiet country setting.I will be back.

This is the best place Ive ever stayed at! The staff was absolutely wonderful! I would recommend this place to anyone! I will never stay anywhere else in Cadillac the hospitality at this hotel was above and beyond. We felt like we were royalty. A special thank you to Sheryl who made sure our stay was extra special she is a true peach!

I was hesitant to stay here as I knew it was an older establishment. I ended up being very thankful we did. The newly renovated rooms were great and had an even better price tag. Spacious and clean. We were accommodated to a room with a king bed on a late notice with booking. The pool and hot tub area was nice, even though the pictures made it look older. The view from the restaurant was beautiful, but the food was just okay.

Older, quaint motel with a homey feel and a large indoor pool and hot tub. Our kids (6 and 10) love going there and spending hours in the pool area. There is a free breakfast buffet in the attached restaurant.

Room 132, has got to be the loudest room in the place, under the stairs, so, anyone going up and down the stairs, is heard in the room, as the bed is under the stairs. Room above 132, if they run water in tub, you cant even talk in the room, seems daily room taxs are high, 44$ per day. Still enjoyed our stay. Just made the best of it.

I went for a family golf weekend. Great location, beautiful, well laid out course. The greens were in great shape. There is a nice lake very close. The rooms are beautiful and updated. The service on the golf course and in the bar and restaurant is top notch. I will be visiting again.

Cool place to stay for winter sports and activities.

We really enjoyed our stay here and will most likely stay there again. The breakfast was buffet style but was very good. It was nice to unwind in the hot tub too.

My husband and I have stayed here several times and love it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The free breakfast has a variety of choices from hot foods to cold cereals. I highly recommend staying here, you wont be disappointed.
