The diesel bus trip up the mountain on a 7-mile dirt road that is very narrow, curvey and bumpy was not fun for me. I tried to look only at hubby & phone and not down the steep hillsides. However, Mark is an excellent driver! Dress warm as you reach @8500 feet elevation. Despite poor weather, the 90-foot statute is worth the view inside the base & out. Wonderful community effort and preserved history:)

I just tried to visited this attraction and found out the hard way the GPS is completely wrong. You cant view this by your self and there are not signs saying other wise. You have to go to the main office in town and get on theretour schedule to visit this attraction, right now only 2 days available during the week.

This Butte statue is located high in the mountains, facing,Berkley pit and looking at Butte ,the tour is only operated during summer time .Unique experience, road is rough and can only be accessed through the tours bus.

It is really cool to see on top of the mountain and the story is really cool behind it but the price to shuttle up there was not worth it. Seeing for free at the bottom was good enough

What a neat place! I had heard of our Lady of the Rockies, but I never knew what it was. It was incredible. No matter your religion you can appreciate this site. Just like I appreciate the Buddha on top of a Mountain in Thailand. Just beautiful and spiritual.

Google led us to the road which would take you to the statue, only to find no trespassing signs and a Google is wrong, turn around sign. No other explanations. Then we find out that you have to book a tour to see the statue, which I can only imagine is something you have to pay for. Ive never encountered a shrine you had to pay to see, or is so limited in their hours of operation, and intentionally misleads you with their signage and warnings.

It was neat to see but not something of great interest to me. I understand it has a lot of history so if that is something that intrigues you for sure check it out! We are not Catholic but my wife liked the idea that it was built to honor women everywhere.

Sounds like it would be interesting but the website hasnt been updated in a year and the phone number goes to a sex chat line, so who knows how to actually get up there.

Beautiful history. My second time coming here, last time was years ago. Highly recommend. You dont need to be religious or anything to enjoy this experience.

Pa

This is my private property they are sending you to cross. There is a locked gate on the road. People are expecting to drive to it racing up our road dangerously because Google refuses to fix this. IT CANNOT BE ACCESSED by private citizens. Google should be sending you to the location in Butte where this can happen.

We did not realize that we needed to go at certain times to see this and go to the gift shop to take a bus up there. I wish they put up signs explaining this because we went around searching for a way to get up there after seeing a post about it on Montana tourism website. They just put a sign saying google is wrong turn around, instead put a post saying go to the gift shop or timings for the tour. On the other side saying no statue access.

Heads up the only way to get there in winter in by snow mobile. The road is unplowed and there was a good two feet on the road in February. Would recommend for summer!

The lady is an amazing monument displaying the incredible faith of bob obill and leroy lee. The women in the gift shop are so gracious and kind and the tour guides are fantastic! Its $16 for adults and definitely worth the price. Ronda is a tour guide and when you go inside the lady to see the memorial there, she sings and it will bring you to tears. The womens monument is beautiful and the whole thing is just so special i loved it.

Nice view of Butte, the ride is rough and an hour up and an hour down. Youre given 30 minutes, which isnt enough to get photos and really take everything in. Especially if you have small children. This would be great for a picnic for the afternoon, given you ever had time.

You cannot drive here yourself. Google maps has the roads, but they are private. To see the monument, you have to go to the Butte Plaza Mall and join a tour. It is worth it. The drive is fun and the views are amazing.

Worth visiting. Our tour guide left a little to be desired. Also, be fore warned that the movie they ask you to come early to see is horrendous. Just do some research on your own beforehand and show up to get on the shuttle. You also get a great view of Butte from the Mountain.

History of the statue is interesting. Make sure you go inside. I think its a little pricey. $18/16 adult. The bus that takes you there is rickety. They should just buy a used or new one. If youre where you can see the mountain @ nite, go outside & see her lit up.

My husband I along with a friend went through there a couple of times. We saw the statue and she was beautiful. We also saw it with the lights on and it is a most welcoming site. I would lke to know if you can order the small statue as a suvener of the Blessd Mother. I just finished the book and it was the best book I have ever read. I couldnt put it down. I cried along with the men at the end.It was very enotional.
