Nice adult (and separated) kid exercise outdoor equipment. Safe outdoor restrooms available, clean when I’ve had to use it. The walking path is currently blocked by fencing which makes it difficult to use as designed. Few activities for adults through the park district. But 4 stars when the fencing is removed. Nearby Burr Ridge Park District path and adult equipment is nice and get my 5 stars.

I was hired to film a club soccer game at Walker Park during the construction of one of the parking lots on the west side of the park. Other than the temporary inconvenience of limited parking, Walker is a spacious and well kept park.

I worked here. The park is huge and a great time. There’s so much space and many fields for sports and play. They have basketball, volleyball, tennis, and hockey courts. They have a museum on site as well. There is also a huge walking/running path around the park.

The park is not very small kid friendly in my opinion. There are a lot of stations where little ones either cant reach or arent strong enough to complete the task at hand. That said, if you have a kid whos about 7 or older and loves to be all over the place climbing and hoping around, this is a good place to come. Good atmosphere and people are nice. Also, parking lot is not the biggest and can be very very hard to find a parking spot if you come at the wrong time.

Some folks were really rude, but the park still looked great. The park and people have changed so much from when I was a kid, but we enjoyed watching the stroller scavenger hunt. That was cool because the little kids were so excited! The big metal slide and wax paper was my favorite growing up. We even visited the park as adults with wax paper just to enjoy the thrill of being alive. All people and their service animals should feel welcomed wherever they go. We are all the same.

Beautiful park, baseball and softball fields well maintained. Landscape is also beautiful. Only negative you will lose many balls on softball fields due to little stream.

At the Walker Recreation Center there are morning classes of Chi Gung and Tai Chi Chuan in the garden outside in warm weather and inside during colder weather all year round. There are also classes at night in the Recreation Center. Visitors are welcome.
