Its great and great experience. The snow tube got boring fast and wait was long. We normally do snow mountain at stone mountain which was closed this year due to covid19. The difference is, snow Mt has loud music crazy lights and for festival feel, but margaritaville is like a small carnival feel nothing special. After a couple hours kids got bored then went ice skating which was cool. Might be better next time when lights are up and snow alley is open. I got the season pass, so if it changes Ill update review.

My husband, in-laws and I spent $80 (on top of paying the $20 gate fee) on Thanksgiving evening to come see the “lakeside lights spectacular” and it was the worst display of lights I’ve ever been to. There was absolutely nothing spectacular about walking through a 1/2 mile of lighted tunnels. There are no big light displays whatsoever. A complete waste of time and money. Margaritaville completely ruined the magic that Lanier islands Night of Lights used to have. Absolutely terrible experience.

It was horrible, it was so so expensive. We were so excited to see some Christmas lights in the island, bought the tickets on line for a group of 7, since it was peak day it was $24 plus per person. And I say for that price I want to see some Christmas lights right?. It was a 5 minute walk, and that is 5 minutes walking slowly and taking a few family photos at the water front since the lights did not worth even a picture. basically all the lights they have can be seen from the parking lot ( ohh the parking is 20 extra). That is a place I will never go back to, I have more Christmas lights in my neighborhood and for a mile long.

DONT SAY YOU WERENT WARNED: the Margaritaville Lakeside Lights Spectacular is a colossal waste of time, effort and money. It is decidedly un-spectacular. Go to the Atlanta Botanical Garden instead. Its more costly, but entirely worth the money. It should be against the law to charge money for this attraction.ADMISSION:We paid $25 per person + convenience fees for tickets. Nowhere do they disclose that theres also a $20 per car gate fee to access Lake Lanier Islands when you arrive. Instead, you pull up to the gate where an attendant tells you about the extra $20 fee and explains that the gate is run by a different company than the lights, so you have to pay or you have to turn around and leave. Hindsight being 20/20, we would have been better off turning around and leaving. Live and learn.DIRECTIONS:There is no signage for the light display or for parking for the lights. There is signage for everything else. You have to guess that youre parking in the correct spot, and you have to somehow figure out that youre walking in the right direction to get to the lights. Theres also nobody working anywhere near a parking area to answer questions.ENTRY:If you insist on wasting your time, effort and money on this experience, you can buy your admission tickets online in advance. Keep in mind, they will still direct you to stand in line where people are buying tickets so you can be checked in and your ticket can be scanned. You literally save zero time by purchasing tickets in advance.DRINKS:This is the best part of the entire experience, and with tax the drinks are like $11.00 each. Stop and the bar and get a drink before you walk through the lights. At least youll have something to enjoy.THE LIGHTS:They sucked. Nary a Christmas light to be seen. Instead, they have one or two areas where there are a lot of different colored bulbs that blink. Otherwise, youre walking through one of probably 200 arches that have lights on them. Then you have to walk up a huge, steep hill to get to the end. This was a bad plan for the elderly member of our group whom we wound up carrying up the hill. Im not exaggerating when I say this: take a drive through any random neighborhood to see far more impressive lights than what was on display here. Heck, youll probably see better lights by walking through the holiday section at Home Depot.CONCLUSION:If youre still thinking about going, I strongly urge you to scroll back up and re-read this review. If you still insist on wasting your time and money, do so at your own peril.

We have been coming here for a few years now and really enjoy the place. Had dinner at the Land Shark Grill and were pleasantly surprised how much better things have gotten. The Hostess Abbey greeted us with a smile, was polite and accommodating with a seating request. Service was timely and the food was really good. After dinner the Manager Chip came by to introduce himself, asked about our experience and was genuinely interested on how his team performed. Keep up the good work.

Pretty nice little beach area. Some restaurants along the strip. The kiddos enjoyed it. They were charging $10 a person for entry though due to coronavirus which I thought was odd when entry is usually free. Not very easy access to the beach area when you have a stroller or something with wheels...we had to carry the cart down the stairs so it was a little difficult. Now we know, though. It’s a kind of island in itself though it’s artificially made but one can easily save his time to travel and enjoy water for a weekend or so here. They have got many water rides and many outdoor water activities else you can just sit and relax on the water. Restaurants are there to feed you and bid screen adds on the entertainment.you can bring your own boat. Only thing is to consider the restrooms they are real bad, messy and no specific changing rooms so people change it in this miserable toilets which can cause disease and infections. Rest is good.

We definitely enjoy going here as a family, however the fact that they do not have a few lifeguards on the beach is shameful. Adults can buy drinks at the tiki bar and drink on the beach...in the water and do not pay attention to the children. Personally, I saved one kid from drowning while a group of adults, who were closer to him just watched, and his family watched from the shore with drinks in hand...and I have been there to experience them dragging the lake looking for another child who went missing while his parent who could not swim was panicking on the shore. Lifeguards are only stationed at the pools and slides but it seems like 3 times as many showed up to drag the lake, so why not have a couple on the beach...it might stop this place from being referred to as a murder lake. But, if you are a responsible adult and watch the non-swimmers and children in your vicinity, then you should have a great time here.

Overall pretty cool, def. A bit high priced. We bought season passes because we paln on going at the very least 3 days between our 1st visit and feb. so the cost made sense. However, several spots turned us away because we had season pass cards and not tickets. Of course we went to the store and got tickets and went on all the rides but it was a pain to be turned away a several times after waiting in line. Serveral little kid things to do, only 2 limited height over 30/36 with adult rides, so pretty small but still.qr had a ton of fun with our 3 year old. Hadnt gone in the summer so.not sure how it compares to summer time.

We just left our 2 day stay at Margaritaville. We had booked 3 nights Tuesday-Thursday but left a day early. After Labor Day there is really nothing for the kids to do here on the week days. No playground, no pool. They encourage the little natural beach in the RV park but within 5 minutes I found pieces of glass on it. Also, there are no stairs to get down there. A little difficult with a 1 and 2 year old. The grounds were well trimmed but lots of used masks and trash laying around. They also tell you to put your trash by your pad number at 7pm. We did both nights but it never got picked up. Maybe I would go back on the weekend When the water park is open but really disappointing stay. Both our neighbors left early too. I couldn’t believe they don’t even have a swimming pool!!!

We reserved and prepaid for three nights. We had been traveling for two weeks across the US. Despite the silly name they seemed to have all the amenities we expected from a nice RV park. We managed to arrive before 6 pm when the office closes. After filling out the extensive paperwork one of the young office ladies informed me that our 2018 Arctic Fox camper over truck was unacceptable. This is the craziest rule for an RV Park certainly. But additionally we were without a place to go. They suggested a nearby campground, but at 6 pm on Sunday nobody will take your reservation. Definitely the worst RV experience ever

Went on a Monday, very easy to social distance. Lived in GA all my life and never been to this beach... BEAUTIFUL emerald clear water, better than most of our ocean beaches in GA. You can pay $10 just for beach access or like $50 for water park tickets. Water slides could use a bit more instruction/safety guidance- feels a bit more opportunity to get hurt than say white water rides... SO IMPRESSED with the cleanliness of the grounds and especially the restrooms. I even saw staff cleaning ALL of the, what had to be, miles of hand rails all throughout the park! Wish they had showers in the restrooms or on the beach so you could get rinsed off for plans after the beach. Family friendly music playing on speakers throughout park, huge screen showing music videos. Flyboarding available for additional cost which was one in a lifetime experience! Other activities- can rent kayaks, bring floats, umbrellas, and toys to make sandcastles... Food at landshark decently priced and good for a decent meal at the beach. Wish they would allow coolers/outside food on the beach and it would be a 10!

Now I was masked up, but wanted some time to relax plus experience a boat ride on this notorious lake. It was really nice, and upon reaching the island I was astonished to all the people located there and the community, very large. We went to a local bar where the supervisor JASON(told him Id give him a shout out, so show the boy some love!!) Took real nice care of his patrons. That was customer service to its finest, and he was and kind as can be with a smile throughout. For my first experience there I want to take all my friends, and people that wanna visit to see JASON supervisor/manager who did a swell job!! So lots to say about Margaritaville! This place is very large and spread out, but felt like there wasnt much to do. A golf cart is a necessity, because its so hilly, it makes it impossible to walk around the place or bicycle. There is a beach and a tiki bar, but was closed down due to covid. They were also blowing snow, for winter snow tubing. The boat access is not close to the camping sites. Also you can not access the lake, although you have lake view, from the campsites. The sites are pretty close together, depending on which site you choose. It rained the last day and when I walked the dogs the next morning, some of the sites were flooded with water. Seems like they did not take that into consideration when pouring the sites. They do not have a campsite store on the premises. So you must take all you need or be willing to drive off the property. They have one restaurant with very high pricing for drinks and food. We were also told the restaurant was dog friendly but do to the arrangement of the tables on the patio we were told we were not able to sit and dine. We had to get to go food and find a place to sit. All the umbrellas had wasp nests in them, which were swarming while trying to eat. They do have food delivery to your campsite, but again the pricing is astronomical. We had 2 power outages, the first night that we were there. The power just went off for a brief second but that also can cause power surges. So the power going out and coming back on could cause a big issue. We did not have any problems with the wifi, but some of the other campers on the other side of the road said they didnt have wifi all weekend. Our cable left a lot to be desired, there is not many channels and the channels we did get were not great. At one point, while it was storming, we did not have any cable. So! Pricing is a lot for what is provided. The staff was nice, my husband thought the restaurant staff was rude. I didnt think so. I didnt visit the bath house so I can not comment on that. Unless the pricing changes, most likely will not return.

Do not go here if you are handicapped in any way. No signage for handicap entrance. Many stairs from regular parking lot. The waited in line for at least 40 minutes where there are no benching to sit. Then you get in at least more than 100 yards then up another flight of stairs with not even guard rails to get up them all the way. 1 handicap stall and it was out of order. Then we finally found someone in a golf cart to take us to the better entrance for a handicapped person then they dropped me off at gate where it was another long walk into the park again with no benches to rest along the way. They really need to have better access for a handicapped person that isnt in a wheel chair but cant walk long distances without severe pain. Ive had back surgery and have arthritis in both knees. I wanted to bring my grandson so he could have fun but all I got was a lot of pain and disappointment.

Margaritaville is real fun. You can spend a day here with just playing lazy on the shacks or like a alligator inside the water. The lake is created like an hawain island beaches with white silky sand. Except the waves you get it all. But, the fun doesnt ends here, too make it even better theres a lot of water ride and a grand zip line above the lake. One of the best water ride ends inside the lake, which is quite an experience. One bad thing though is the walkway which is such a scrathed surface that if you walk on it for long your feets are going to get hurt. The entry fee is around $50 and best attractions zip liner and ride beside lake are $20 extra, with fast lane benefits.

You also have the option to purchase the water park wrist band if you choose. There are a ton of stairs to get down to the entrance, so be prepared if you plan to pack a lot for the beach. We got there early enough, so we waited for about 25mins to gain entry, but the line was a mile long by the time we got in & moving very slowly. There is not an actual Margaritaville on-site; turns out the park is just under the Margaritaville name. If you think you’re going to just go eat at the LandShark restaurant, think again. $20 to get in at the gate then $10 a person just to get to the restaurant. Not even swim or do anything else. What a joke

It was the best day ever. The wave pool was the most fun! The slides were intense. I only did the little ones, but if I had more courage I would have done them all. Everybody was having so much fun!!

The islands were beautifully decorated. Slightly confusing route to drive through, but takes you throughout the islands well. Many motion displays as well as still ones. They are inclusive of different celebrations and do not just focus on Christmas. They also have an animal section in between of the holiday parts. Overall one of the best light displays I have ever been too.

Been here for fun in snow and sun! A fun time for all ages. Definitely took advantage of Groupon deals. If not for those, it would have been overpriced.

The best thing going on the south side of Lanier. Food, fun, and courteous staff with plenty of activities to try out.

We bought season passes to the water park and it included the pass for the Magical Night Lights. I took my boys here a few yrs ago and I recall many more light displays. This time the light displays were spaced out and there was a lot of empty spots, I was expecting more. The bridge and the round about entrance was beautiful. We went on a Tuesday and there were a few cars, so we were able to park on the side and take a couple of pictures with some of my boys’ favorite light displays & they really enjoyed that. We didn’t get a chance to walk around or ride the rides but we’ll definitely try it on Our next visit, looks like fun!
