Gorgeous theater, well maintained and in a great downtown location. Snacks and drinks were reasonably priced, except water which as usual was outrageous. Seating is comfortable, velvet upholstered and roomy in comparison to other venues. So many restaurants and nightclubs in the area make it a fantastic date night, before and after the show. Highly recommend this beautiful theater.

This is such a beautiful theater! The staff is always very helpful, and we are so lucky to have this gem in Buffalo! I love that they have such wonderful shows, and such eclectic choices! Last week my oldest saw a fantastic Jesus Christ Superstar, and today I took my youngest to Nick, Jr. Live! They have a lot going on for our community!

I seen many concerts and plays here, its a comfortable and historic venue.

Very clean and great atmosphere. Parking wasnt bad either so got close for $15. Have some good snacks and cocktails as well. Saw Phantom and was very very good!

Great place and great performance, I was there to watch Book of Mormon and I got the tickets from a promotion that with UB, and being an undergraduate student, I would only pay 10 dollars if I got them from the school! Thank you for the opportunity, the theater is HUGE so the back seats aren’t great but the performance was worth it.

Incredibly beautiful theatre. Comfortable seating. There doesnt seem to be a bad seat in the place. Sound quality is excellent. Staff and volunteers are friendly. Quick, convenient access from free train.

Recently moved to Buffalo back in Spring but this was my first official outing here, aside from simply dining out. Found out about two days before the Broadway Aladdin show was opening and decided to bite the bullet and grab a ticket for myself. I got my moneys worth for sure. Wasnt expecting such a beautiful theatre. Also...this is tough to say but the actor who had played Genie did Robin Williams justice. His first appearance in the play in the cave of wonders was just phenomenal. No doubt Robin would have been proud.The location itself was elegant, roomy, and well kept. The staff here were all very courteous and accommodating. Keep up the great work here.

Absolutely beautiful theater. Two tiered seating and pretty comfortable. Its an iconic location in downtown buffalo and we really.enjoyed watching Jerry Seinfeld here. They ahve some standing space bars inside so if you want to go for a drink go early cause the lines get long. You rent allowed to take drinks inside.

Classic Buffalo architecture and experience. This place is lovingly attended to by its staff and volunteers and a great place to treat oneself. Only suggestion for anyone pondering tickets: if you’re “larger” go with the orchestra as the higher sets seem closer together. Also steps up in balcony are steep so if you have any mobility issues remember you have to rely on stairs. Otherwise sit back and enjoy!

Saw Paw Patrol Live here. Sat in the orchestra section to the right of the stage. The view was good as well as the sound of the show. Very pleased with the facility.

Beautiful inside. No alcohol or beer allowed inside the theatre. Dont grab a drink at their bar if you arrived close to Showtime as youll have to throw it out to enter the theatre. Some local hotels offer free shuttle to and from for guests.

I have been to Shea’s for many events throughout my life — both as an audience member and a stage performer. It’s a beautiful theater and a gorgeous display of Buffalo history and architecture. Street parking is a little tough to find, but there are several municipal lots a short walk from both theater entrances. If you have to use the bathroom at some point during a production, keep in mind that the intermission between acts might not be enough time; the line for the ladies’ rooms are always long because of the small bathrooms. No pictures are allowed in the auditorium during licensed shows (an attendant will yell at you if they catch you haha — and definitely *no flash photography!) Almost every seat in the house is a good one; the only ones I would say to avoid are the right or leftmost floor seats, only because there are some pillars that could potentially be somewhat in the way of your view of the stage. But the sound is great from every spot in the theater, and the auditorium itself is stunningly spectacular. And if you ever have a chance to see the view from the stage...you’ll never forget it.

This is a beautiful historic theatre in downtown Buffalo. If youve never been there, you need to go see a show. It has truly amazing architecture inside. Shows are really good and theres quite a variety of different shows, something for everyone. You can save a lot of money by buying tickets at the box office vs online.

Very nice theatre. Not overly formal. Lite snacks for sale in confessions. They sell beverages in main area way, however you cannot take inside the theatre. Great lightening and sound system. I had front row seats and had an amazing experience. Ushers were friendly and the temperature inside was cozy. I recommend this theatre as you will have a great time. I flew out just to see Cats, and then came home the next day. I was definitely pleased with my experience.

OMG! This place is amazingly gorgeous! A real classic theater, stunning architecture... all in the new, rejuvenated downtown Buffalo!! They have first class performances, including the absolutely awesome production Hamilton! Dont miss this incredible venue!

Beautiful theater! We went to see Phantom of the Opera and this was our first time here. Gorgeous facility, and every staff member we came upon was extremely helpful and friendly. Hope to come back for other shows soon!

Always love my times at Sheas. Its truly a beautiful theatre and a staple of the Buffalo theatre district. The seats are small, so do be aware of that when going into a show, but definitely get out and see a show at Sheas.

Friends of ours took us on an historic tour of Shea’s when we were last in town. The building is absolutely stunning; it’s wonderful that it still stands as an example of Buffalo’s early 20th century architecture.

Who doesn’t like a memorable experience? The closes thing you’ll get to broadway in buffalo.

We just had an amazing time at Shea. It was our first trip to Buffalo’s Theatre District and were really impressed. Shea is a beautiful old venue and well worth the trip.

We went to see RENT......loved our seats. The sound in the theater was amazing. Love old buffalo architecture and Sheas is beautifully old

I do not recommend Sheas. I cannot get any refund to an event that was not held this year as scheduled.

Had a great time at the Joe Bonamassa concert. Great old grand building, kept up very well and the staff were very efficient at getting everyone to where they needed to be. Stage was set up with a three story high light show!

Beautiful theatre! Drove to Buffalo specifically to see a show and really enjoyed this spectacular old theatre.

My fiancé and I went to see Jersey Boys. We have never been to the theater and I absolutely fell in love with the inside. The show was amazing and so much fun! The cast did an awesome job at the show and portraying Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I will definitely go back for another show! Thank you for having the Jersey Boys at your theatre.

Great venue. Parking can be a little tricky at times, and expensive. Better corralling of patrons needs to be implemented to reduce the congestion and frustration when trying to exit the venue after a show in order to leave via either of the two exits on the main lobby.

Sheas is one of the most beautiful theatres I have seen, and definitely one of my favorite places to go in Buffalo. The guides are very helpful and beverage stations on all floors. JUST GORGEOUS!!

Wow what a beautiful room. Saw Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros. Was a beautiful Tiffany designed facility. Sound was great and the vibe was awesome.

Beautiful theater. Been there many times throughout the years. But Im only 5 3 and my knees are touching the seat in front of of me.

Show was fantastic, the theater is beautiful. But, our seats were in the upper balcony. We were not allowed to move to our seats until 15 minutes or less before curtain. This caused tremendous congestion and crowding in the upper lobby. When the steps were finally opened, it was like a crush of cattle. I think allowing people to move freely at an earlier time would have been more pleasant and much less dangerous. I was very disappointed at this treatment. It marred an otherwise pleasant evening.

As a season ticket holder at Sheas, this is absolutely one of my favorite spots in the city! The renovations they have completed have brought it back to life. If you are looking for a great evening out, or evening a weekend movie with your family, dont overlook what Sheas has on their calendar...

It is a great venue! Downside is the seating, I am tall my knees were up tight against seat in front of me, thank God for intermission so I could stand up! If you are a large person the seats are also very narrow if you get what Im saying!

I’ve seen so many shows, musicals, plays and performances here. It’s always an amazing experience. The architecture is absolutely breathtaking, the lighting, the service. It’s conveniently located so you can easily grab a dinner and drinks before the show.

What a beautiful, magical place to visit in Buffalo. Sheas has really become a go-to for my family on spe ial occasions or whenever we want to get out and enjoy a show. The people working are always so friendly and happy to help you to your seat and I am pretty sure that the concessions are co tributes towards the maintenance and restoration of the building. That makes me want to go more and more! Love it here so much, just would advise for the seats, they are a bit close together on all sides. For example someone with extra muscley arms or shoulders may not be super comfortable.

Sebastian Maniscalco show this evening 7:00 was fantastic. He puts on a Absolutely Right on the money show.. Talking about growing up Italian. Funny facts and had me rolling on the floor. By far one of the best shows I have ever seen..three thumbs up goomba....The show was excellent...we went to the 7:00 show there was a 9:30 show. The 7:00 show ended at 8:45 it took 25 minutes to exit the building...While the folks for the 9:30 that came early were all trying to get in out of the cold. Were told they could not enter until everybody was out from the 7:00 show it was an extremely cold night they went down the block half the distance of a football field.. I felt bad for them I believe putting the shows 3 hours apart would have alleviated a lot of frustration and people freezing outside..

Beautiful theater! Most seats are decently spaced. Im a big guy and sometimes thats an issue. Im always amazed at how they transform the stages.

I love visiting here for the performances and of course the beautiful architecture. But the seating is horrible, even with all of the renovations that have gone on they have not adjusted the seats. The seats are extremely small, and the rows very close together, almost forcing my knees into the seats in front of me and I have short legs! It is so uncomfortable that I find it hard to enjoy the performances I go to see. I will only go now if I can get seating in certain spots otherwise it is not worth the money to be so uncomfortable and not enjoy the experience.

Good show. Wonderful building. Built in 1926. A beautiful place to tour. A must see in the Buffalo area. An expansive well appointed space throughout. Almost breathtaking especially if you can imagine the work it must have taken back in the day to have designed and built it.

Really enjoyed the theatre, the side exits are the best. I wish the pretzel concessions didnt have anything to put with them, but the roasted nuts were quite good. Seats were comfortable, bathroom could be a bit less cramped. Sound could have been better.

Beautiful venue. About anywhere you look there is another feat of human ability and architecture. Audio solutions for the space are great and of places I have sat in the auditorium I have never had issues hearing and understanding dialogue. Seating is comfortable and especially quality if you got lucky and are at the first row in a section and no one is sitting in front of you. Although, it seems that there may not be enough bathroom real estate for female patrons. As a man attending, I have never had these issues but at every show I went to so far I have seen massive lines to the ladys rooms.

Fantastic grand theater (built 1926). Very ornate - well restored. No obstructed views, excellent lighting & acoustics. This is the place for a true live theater experience.

It is a beautiful place I had an awesome experience the only problem I had was if you are disabled or or have medical issues/ conditions and you are seated in the balcony based on the tickets you can afford and the seats are comfortable but theres no leg room to stretch especially for for persons with knee or leg injuries or conditions. If that was taken care of then it would be the perfect place to enjoy any and all performances. Otherwise my experience there was awesome its a lovely establishment truly!

Excellent ambiance. Good host for a traveling show. Having one of the best steakhouses in Buffalo across the street is an added bonus.

Great! I saw Nick Masons Saucersful of Secrets here. It was my first time in this theater. The building is beautiful, and positively dripping in gold leaf. Seats were comfortable, but a little tight. The crowd were respectful. Staff were helpful and efficient. I would see any event here. Its a fantastic venue.

We went to this theatre to see Cats and it was BEAUTIFUL. It is one of the last few remaining theatres standing that still has its decorations by Tiffany. And it does not disappoint. When we walked into the theatre, we were in awe. It is so breath taking, with its coffered ceilings, crystal chandeliers, stained glass, and more.Cats was amazing on the big stage, we had great seats, and it was definitely worth it. The theatre is beautiful and we highly suggest checking out the next show available!

O.M.G.! The place itself is worth seeing. Historic and so beautiful. Id pay someone (architect/historian?) to give me a 3hour tour describing and explaining the significance of every little thing. Nick Mason gave a spectacular performance, but the venue (almost) stole the show. Turns out my mom went here in the mid1940s.

I thought you could only watch plays here, I went to a wedding there and it was second to none. The food was fabulous, we ate dinner on the stage it was a beautiful time.

Cramped and very hot. Seats are small and tight, but the bigger issue is that they desperately need to find a way to better regulate the temperature in here. The level of uncomfortability can literally ruin an otherwise enjoyable show. A shame, as it iits a beautiful venue otherwise. Get a thermostat, Sheas!

Im as awestruck at age 55 as I was the first time I saw Sheas theater at age 10. Its like stepping back in time! The beauty of this theater is second to none. I love the acoustics! It is a beautiful night out for a special occasion. Buffalo has some great great theater troops, and musical artists that come through here. You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I went for the impractical jokers show. It was really good! The ladys that are everywhere asking if they can help you find where youre going were really pushy though. I almost felt like I was forced into asking them for help lol. The inside of the theater is so beautiful as well. We had a really good time and enjoyed the show very much!

Very good show. Enjoyed it very much. Sheas very good about what they bring in. They also offer tours of the historic theater as well. But you have to schedule them in n advance on no show days.

This is an incredible venue. Shows here are nothing short of amazing. Their drinks and homemade snacks are to die for! The decor is meticulously cared for and maintained with the help of donations to the theatre. Truly a historical must see/must attend if youre in the area!

Saw the BPO perform along with Harry Potter and it was great. If youre tall (Im 63) the seats will be cramped, but its an old theatre so what do you expect.

Beautiful theater located in the heart of the theater district. A well kept example of the grand theaters of the past. Very few seats in this theater have An obstructed view so it really doesnt matter where you sit as you will be able to enjoy the show. Bathrooms are clean and the theater has refreshments available for intermission. There is plenty of parking in all directions around this theater. There are also plenty of options to eat before or after your show.

It’s always a treat to see Broadway quality shoes in this beautiful theatre.
